Timing: The sperm were injected into the eggs exactly 36 hours after an LH surge, so I would say pretty damn good

Typical LPs length: I am on meds, so it doesnt matter

Testing: No idea, I will find out on Saturday if I even have any blasts to transfer

R/R: Waiting for everything is so nerve wracking! Just waiting until 2 when I get a call about how many of my eggs fertilized, hopefully a bunch!

Testing: I have tested negative today. I have tried to be a chill “no test til period is late” type, but have long since accepted that I cannot resist. With my 2nd I had positive tests at pod 10, so I always lose hope around that time if no positive by then.

R/R: As I have said in my intro, my husband is very non-commital to getting pregnant again. Months like these when we have good timing are so hard to see negatives. I’m 36 years old! I don’t have years to decide! I really wish he would just give a strong “yes” or a strong “no” instead of every now and then giving me hope!

CS/Q:

No way! I live near a sky-diving facility and it is not uncommon for people to be injured (and at least 2 deaths that I can think of in recent years)! I’m fine being thrilled by eating a fine cookie.

Testing: BFN all weekend long… Ugh!

R/R: I’ve been a terrible bumpie lately. Sorry!... I just want this cycle to be over with. I know I’m out, and I know it was because of stress. I just want a new, fresh, stress free cycle. AF should show tomorrow, but this has been a weird cycle so we’ll see if she behaves. On a good note, we finally have an SA scheduled for MH for this Friday! He’s super nervous about it. He now all of a sudden doesn’t want to adopt or have any major medical interventions if we can’t conceive naturally. He wants me to consider life without children… I think he’s just saying all this because he thinks the SA is going to be bad and putting those thoughts in my head will “lessen the blow” so to speak. But still, you can imagine how I feel.

@LJMoon6 Sounds like we're having the same kind of cycle! We just gotta keep staying positive even though it sucks!! Fx for your DH's SA Friday. It stinks that he is being like that. I don't think men understand us at all sometimes. Maybe just tell him ya'll will cross each bridge as you get to it and ya'll don't have to make any big decisions until you find out the SA results. Hang in there!!

@meladams10 I'm sorry you already feel out. You're only 8dpo though so you still have time. You had great timing so no reason to worry yet that this cycle will be unsuccessful! The cake sounds delicious. Hope it helps raise your spirits a bit.

@LJMoon6 Oh no! I'm so sorry that YH has been saying those things. I'm very glad he scheduled the SA and I hope the results come back good. I bet YH just needs more time to process all of the "what ifs" in case trying naturally doesn't work out for you. Do you think maybe he's mostly scared about the cost of those things?

@lechels796 Have you asked your husband for more encouragement? Mine was acting rather nonchalant about having a baby, and I finally just said that I needed him to show more excitement and make me feel like he's in this with me. Since that talk, he's been much more vocal about how he feels.

@meladams10 I am more of the type of person who wants a plan. Of course you can’t really know how you’re going to feel when you’re in the moment. We talked about all this last cycle around this same time and I thought we were on the same page. He’s the type of guy that says one thing and then a day later changes his mind and says another. He’s very bull headed too… ugh men.

@offtoneverland I know it’s about the money. Everything is always about the money. It is insanely expensive but we both have great jobs. We live below our means. I know his aunt and uncle had problems TTC and decided against adoption (for money reasons too). And they are very happy. It’s a good example to look at but I didn’t think we were even close to thinking this yet. I mean we haven’t even seen an RE yet! WTH.

@stithof I love adrenaline! Bridge jumping, ziplining, dangling feet off of the edge of a cliff (picture of my younger self in spoiler). It’s so much fun!

@galactickates Yaaaay, you joined me in TWW! MH is the same, wires in the place of blood. lol! We had a fancy TV from a couple of years ago, but he had to upgrade us to a new 4k one as soon as the new Xbox came out. He also just bought some app for $15 to upgrade the sound through his video game headphones. I couldn't believe he actually spent money on that. I think our husbands would get along well.

@stithof The first TWW is horrible and it's easy to get super anxious. I've found the subsequent TWWs to not be as bad, although I still test early every cycle because, why not? GL to you!
@LJMoon6 Hopefully YH can let go of these thoughts for a little while and just take things as they come. It's definitely not worth it to stress about it just yet when you don't know what's going to happen.

@meladams10 Sorry, I just realized I forgot to respond to your question. I got my instant pot for Christmas and so far I really like it. It's super handy because you can saute in it, then add the other ingredients and cook it all really quickly. So it's a legit one pot meal which makes clean up super easy!
