Re: Due Date Check-In 1/8: Fourth Week of May 5/20-5/26

  • Thanks @fraufarbissina ❤️ I really apologize for my silence, I had terrible wifi on holiday and the mobile app kept playing up when I'd log on :( now it's back to work and been hectic!

How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?

20w4d and the size of a banana!

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?

Rave: loving baby boys kicks every day now! I've cried a few times with joy and gratitude. Otherwise feeling good!! I put on a lot of weight in first trimester and now that my appetite is normal I've actually lost weight!

    Any upcoming appointments?

Next appointment this coming Monday! Will get a scan to see my little man ❤️

What are are you looking forward to with this LO? Or what are you nervous about?

Can't wait to hold my boy and meet him! I already love him so much. Nervous about breastfeeding and the lack of sleep as well as everything I need to do to prepare for baby.

    How's everyone doing???

  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
20+3.  Due 5/26.  Baby is the size of a paper airplane

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
We found out today that we're having a girl!! Very excited about that! I also found out that she's lying super low which explains the pressure and pain I've been feeling lately.

    Any upcoming appointments?
Next appointment is with my midwife on the 19th.   When do appointments usually start to get more frequent than every 4 weeks?  I think around this time with my last OB I moved to every 3 weeks and then every 2 weeks starting around 30 weeks maybe?  I can't remember really how it worked and I'm not sure if that's typical

What are are you looking forward to with this LO? Or what are you nervous about?
I am so looking forward to the newborn snuggles!  I didn't appreciate the non-mobile part of having a newborn last time so I am going to soak that in as much as possible this time. At the same time, I'm nervous to go through the newborn phase while having a toddler.  I'm not looking forward to the long nursing sessions and having no sleep schedule for a few weeks.

  • @babydreams88 aww the kicks are one of the best parts!!!  It makes it feel so real!
  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
    21w2d, May 20th

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Feeling big and front heavy, ha. I had to stop my workout earlier than I wanted to last night because I was having a weird pain/feeling in my lower belly. I think I pulled a muscle actually so I've been taking it easy today.

    Any upcoming appointments?
A/s tomorrow afternoon. A little nervous, but should go smoothly.

What are are you looking forward to with this LO? Or what are you nervous about?
I'm really looking forward to there only being 1 baby to feed and snuggle on. It was so hard last time because DS had a lot of stomach issues and such and demanded to be held a ton the first few weeks. Then DD became super dependent on snuggles so I'd have to hold them both to nap a lot. Wasn't the worst thing because then I would nap too, but still a lot.
I am super nervous about the twins transitioning from just them to having a baby in the house. DD doesn't like to share attention with her own twin so it'll be interesting!

  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
    - 21weeks today, May 23rd, size of an endive (random)

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
    - Work and already started “nesting”

    Any upcoming appointments?
    - Nope, just had 20 week appt on Friday.

What are are you looking forward to with this LO? Or what are you nervous about?
    - New born snuggles and smells. See how my 2yo reacts to his new baby brother. Nervous about how I’ll ever sleep again (currently average only 3-4hrs now at best...I work overnight and husband goes to school so I only sleep when/if DS sleeps), juggling 2 kiddos, and how this will work having baby sleep in our room (DS had his own room from the start, but we are stuck in a 2 bedroom apt until the end of the year) and all the stuff that comes with it! Oh boy!
  • @fraufarbissina congrats!
@suchaglencoco good luck at the AS, no peeking ;)
@hcrish omg I would be dead on only 3-4 hours of sleep. You are super mom!

Afm 21 weeks, big as a grapefruit, due 5/22
We are on vacation this week in Florida and the weather finally turned and we are taking in the Florida Sunshine. DS is loving the sand, beach and pool. We are planning a day trip to Disney in the morning, I really should be sleeping because I think it's going to be a long day tomorrow!
Next appt is 1/31 for my 24 week check up and glucose test
I'm looking forward to having the summer off again for maternity leave. DS was a June baby in 2015. So I'm looking forward to morning walks and the newborn snuggles.
  • @babydreams88 yay for the upcoming scan! You can prepare as much as you can for breastfeeding tips and the lack of sleep, but you'll find what works for you - and there are lots, and lots of resources for nursing mamas!

@fraufarbissina yay for finding out about baby girl! and that it didn't get rescheduled again.

@suchaglencoco ow! I hope your muscle heals and you're able to take it easy today!

@hcrish I also can't wait for those newborn snuggles!

@bwow615 Soak up that sun for us Midwesterners! And enjoy Disney!

How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
    20+4, May 26, size of a banana

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Getting quotes for new flooring (yay!). Baby wise, feeling bigger already, and just tired. Woke up to some baby kicks at 3am, which is awesome. I need to remember to soak these ones in since they're not aimed at my bladder or crotch... yet.

    Any upcoming appointments?
    Monday for an echocardigram.

What are are you looking forward to with this LO? Or what are you nervous about?
I'm excited for the newborn stage, it felt like it went SO FAST with DD. I miss being able to lay her down and her not move ;) I'm a little nervous for how DD will do, I know she'll be okay, and it might be rough here and there. I think it's coming from that she'll be so little that rationalizing and explaining won't be super easy. I'm trying not to think about it too much, since it's somewhat limited what I can do before hand to prepare her.

I am also really looking forward to having a summer baby this time around, and I'm planning for us to do lots of fun things outside to keep DD occupied and have it be fun for her.

  • @fraufarbissina my doctor goes to every 2 weeks a time 30 weeks and then every week at 36 weeks. I set up all MTV appointments through 40 weeks last month, it was kind of scary how fast the due datebook is coming up!

How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
21 weeks, size of baby bok choy

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Overall feeling okay, been more tired and having some BH.
Rant, DH is not feeling the need to do anything to get ready for baby. He thinks that since it is number 2 there's isn't anything to do. I reality there is a ton to do including getting a room painted and set up for DD to move into which I would like to do before I'm huge.

    Any upcoming appointments?
    check up next week.

What are are you looking forward to with this LO? Or what are you nervous about?
looking forward to newborn snuggles. Worried about managing a newborn with a 2 year old running around, especially since said 2 year old thinks Hebrew world revolves around her.

Not a frequent poster here but would like to be more active!

    - 21 weeks on 1/10! EDD is 5/23 but will schedule a c/s for 5/18 most likely. Baby is the size of a carrot.

    - Feeling well...tired but what else is new?

    - I have my a/s scheduled for 1/24 which is later than they usually do it but was cancelled because of a bad snowstorm on 1/4.

    - I’m looking forward to giving breastfeeding another shot. I quit with DS after 3 weeks because it was a hell of a lot harder than I thought it would be. I thought it would come naturally but I really had to work at it and it was making me miserable.

  • Welcome @mrspirate! So sorry you're a/s was delayed :( I'm a FTM and I'm scared that BFing won't be straightforward like you say. Thanks for the encouragement @loko08

Hope everyone is well! We had our scan today and baby boy is growing so well! Dr is happy with my weight and blood pressure :) next scan in a month! So in love with our little prince ❤️ He weighs half a kilogram already! Measuring ahead at 22w1d.

  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
We are at 22 weeks and 4 days!  Due date is 5/21 but since it's twins, they're quoting 5/7.  This week, they are coconuts :)
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
This week is all about baby prep!  We picked out colors and now are slapping that paint up on the nursery room walls!  I hate painting.  Thank goodness it is my mother's favorite hobby so she is making it less dreadful.  And I'll be honest, she's done about half of it already while I was at work, so there is no reason for me to complain!
    Any upcoming appointments?
Our next appointment is on February 2.  Another ultrasound and can't wait to see the little ones!
What are are you looking forward to with this LO? Or what are you nervous about?
I am a FTM and I am terrified.  All of my friends have had kids so I've learned some things from osmosis but I am so nervous about just everything I don't know.  For instance, any time I have burped one of my friends' kiddos, they always tell me I'm not doing it hard enough.  I don't know how to burp a baby!  I feel like I'm going to hurt him/her if I do it any harder!
  • babydreams88 He looks perfect!
  • Thank you nhardler! Can't wait to see your little coconuts ❤️❤️❤️

I've also looked after the babies of friends and family yet I'm so scared that when I actually have my own I'll screw up majorly  :|

I can't wait for next month when we move to start decorating and buying bigger baby items!
