I'm 26 weeks along. Ovia says as big as a bowling pin!
I feel great today. My sciatica is not flared up for the first time in over a week. Hope it stays that way. I have been crazy emotional lately. I cry easily and am just often annoyed very easily.
I have a ob appt on Tuesday. Along with my second and hopefully last gd test.
My biggest worry is how I am going to manage to homeschool my 12 year old while having a barely two year old and a newborn.
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 27 weeks; ready for third tri! -cotton tailed rabbit How do you feel? tired. Itchy. And battling a cough. I thought it was a reflux cough but I’m not sure Any appts this week? blood draw for liver function on Tuesday. Unrelated to baby I meet with an ent on Thursday Rants/raves/questions? having some insecurities re:dhs job announced Friday but won’t know specifics for two weeks. I know things will all work out but the limbo/waiting is awful. GTKY: what’s your biggest worry/source of anxiety about impending motherhood? above mentioned insecurity re:dhs career. Also balancing allowing dd to have her regular activities and experiences without overstraining myself and messing with baby’s sleep schedule. When ds was born we didn’t have as many activities. Now we have ice skating 2 nights/week, swimming lessons, gymnastics and story hour.
I’ve been feeling a bit more tired lately but other than that I feel good.
I have an OB appointment tomorrow. I ended up having to do the 3 hour glucose test last week so I’m hoping I get good results back from that.
I have a lot of worries as a first time Mom, but one of the biggest is juggling motherhood and a full time job. We haven’t figured out childcare yet so that’s stressful. And while I enjoy my work and really want to work, I know it will be hard to be away from the baby.
28w! Hellooooo 3rd tri!! Baby is the size of an eggplant or as big as a rollerblade.
I'm uncomfortable and large lol. I'm sure many feel the same.
I have 2 appts this week: a reg ob checkup tomorrow and an u/s on Fri to check on baby growth and placenta placement.
I'm tired of being pregnant. I'm trying to remind myself that this is the last pregnancy i will ever experience and to enjoy it more and that helps sometimes. But most of the time i am sick of being large, slow and uncomfortable. And damnit i could use some wine in my life.
Gtky: i am having so much anxiety over adding a 3rd child to our family. From how will we afford this to how will i get everything done in the day. I felt this way when we went from 1 to 2 kids. We were ok then and I'm trying to trust we will be now.
@mcb2016 homeschooling a 12 year old with a newborn and 2 year old sounds like quite a challenge! At least you’ll only have to do it for a month and a half until the summer comes, and then you’ll all get a chance to adjust to the situation before the new school year begins. @riversdoctor I really hope your blood draw shows that everything is stable with your liver function and that your cough gets better! That plus the uncertainty with your DH’s job sounds like a lot of stress. Fx that things calm down for you soon.
@annabanana051416 hoping for good results on your 3 hour test this week! How many weeks are you/baby's size? 25 weeks
How do you feel? starting to feel really big and feel some pressure/BH contractions several times a day. I am feeling mentally done with this pregnancy, which is a (bad) joke since the hardest of it is yet to come
Any appts this week? nope! Nothing scheduled until next month
Rants/raves/questions? nope
GTKY: what’s your biggest worry/source of anxiety about impending motherhood? I keep having moments of panic about having four freaking kids - like can I really do this? Was this a mistake? We always planned to have three but I felt certain that we had a fourth that needed to complete our family. When I think about the newborn and transition and the early days with four under six, though, I started to feel a little anxious. Fortunately our oldest daughter is a really good kid and super easy; I think she will be really helpful with the littles.

@mcb2016 you got this!! Like another mentioned you’ll have summer coming up to get more prepared and have a good routine in place.
@riversdoctor I am sure everything will work out like it’s suposed to but I am the same way about being in limbo it’s very unsettling at times. Wishing the best
@annabanana051416 I feel the same way as a FTM myself and a full time working mom. We just settled on a daycare but I am still uneasy about how it will be leaving him everyday. We can get through it though it’ll just be something to get used to. Eventually when they are older they will look forward to seeing friends at daycare and it’ll hopefully be a little easier.
@beach_mama you’ve mastered two I bet you’ll do great adding a 3rd. Just need to add an extra hand. Idk how I am going to handle one.
@lindsye I feel the same way being week 25 as well. Very large and just uncomfortable. But like you said the worst is yet to come
How many weeks are you/baby's size? 25 weeks baby is the size of a rutabaga
How do you feel?
my lower back has been really bothering me. I had a prenatal massage last weekend that helped a little but it’s definitley getting worse. I started researching really good stretches to do
Any appts this week? Non this week
Rants/raves/questions? Any suggestions on good stretches for lower back pain?
GTKY: what’s your biggest worry/source of anxiety about impending motherhood? My biggest worry? Being a mom in general I have always wanted a family and always wanted to be a mom but now that is going to be real life I am a little worried/anxious in general. Will I do a good job? Am I ready? Can I afford all that comes with a baby? How am I going to go about life now? Can I juggle my career with motherhood. All these things I think about a lot but I remind myself that I will be a great mom as long as I am doing my best to provide a loving home for him and my boyfriend and I work together to be the best parents we can be to our little guy.
No matter what I do - when I write a post on my phone it deletes everything but the first sentence when I post it. I’ll have to come back later and fix it. Sorry!

DH(27) + Me (27) = 1/14 Baby #1: Aug. 2016 Baby #2: April 1st, 2018
27 weeks - last week of second tri! The size of a camping lantern.
Tired, which is been par for course this pregnancy. I’m starting to get bad intermittent lower back pain. Also, I’m having the start of SPD sxs. This is way earlier than last pregnancy. Otherwise I’m doing well.
Not until February, and it actually got bumped a week since my OB is going to be gone.
None right now!
I am starting to have a lot of anxiety about adjusting to two. I feel like everything is going to be so much more complicated, and I’m worried about my ability to handle it.
@sjn00 hoping for good results! @annabanana051416 Im with you still figuring out a childcare plan. Deciding where im okay trusting and leaving baby during the day is already hard and I know it will be harder after bonding during maternity leave. But tons of moms do it everyday so I know it will be alright. How many weeks are you/baby's size? 29 weeks, a cabbage although that seems smaller than last week hah. How do you feel? All those pregnancy symptoms Ive been reading about and thankful I hadnt experienced came suddenly today. My back aches, feels like baby is pushing on my crotch which feels bruised, RLP, and just generally super uncomfortable. I was actually worried something was wrong until I had a few mom friends tell me this is what it will feel like probably from here on out. So that is super exciting haha
Any appts this week? None until next week
Rants/raves/questions? Only my rant from the last question. It sounds like many of us are feeling similarly.
GTKY: what’s your biggest worry/source of anxiety about impending motherhood? Worry about the changes to my relationship with SO. He has been so great and I know he will be an awesome father but it will definitely be a huge change. And childcare which I need to figure out still.
