How are you feeling?

What are you looking forward to getting back to most when baby arrives (i.e. more coffee, medications, foods you're missing now, etc.)?

Re: Mental Health Check-in 1/5

  • How are you feeling? I'm ready to go back on my medications now, please. Maybe it's because I'm sick and more irritable than normal. However, I just hate everything and everyone. I'm normally not this way. It's starting to effect everything. Been thinking of taking a step back from social media, the bump, and other types of social activity because I feel that I am not able to contribute in a selfless way.

What are you looking forward to getting back to most when baby arrives (i.e. more coffee, medications, foods you're missing now, etc.)? medications. Feeling my "normal" again. I'm struggling.

  • How are you feeling? Okay.  Better now that we received more information and got great news from our NIPT testing.  Still have that weight on my shoulders, constantly feeling worried about the baby between doctor's visits.  I imagine a lot of first time mommies feel this way...but it just feels amplified.  I want to enjoy this more than I am.  I am so happy, but so anxious.

What are you looking forward to getting back to most when baby arrives (i.e. more coffee, medications, foods you're missing now, etc.)? Caffeine.  And like you said, @zombiehoohaa, feeling normal.  The anxiety will still be there, but I will at least feel like I have more control over keeping this this little baby safe when I can see him/her and hold him/her.
  • @zombiehoohaa I totally hear you on the moodiness thing. I’m so tired of being irritated by every thing and every one. It’s exhausting. I definitely need to take a step back from things too.
  • @zombiehoohaa I'm right there with you. I'm angry and irritable all the time. Which cam be a problem, because I'm a social worker and my job requires me to be understanding and sympathetic. I was on cymbalta prior and was switch to Zoloft. That wasn't cutting it. So the Dr added buspar. We'll see if that helps. All of this is exacerbated by the HG.
  • How are you feeling?
My anxiety has been through the roof to be quite honest.  panic attacks a few times a week and just lots if stress and worries.

Looking forward to snuggling this sweet baby.

  • How are you feeling?
I have been extremely anxious lately. Crying a lot and getting hysterical over things that I probably don’t need to freak out over. We don’t have a car and I have been struggling to get to appointments and being high-risk, I have been having a lot of things I need to do. It’s just putting me over the edge somedays.

What are you looking forward to getting back to most when baby arrives (i.e. more coffee, medications, foods you're missing now, etc.)? The only thing I miss is eating with abandon. I care too much right now and hate feeling guilty for enjoying good food. My eyes are on the prize though, can’t wait to hold my baby.
  • @lindsayleigh1989 and @hayhay93 panic attacks are the worse. I wouldn't wish then on anyone. Not being pregnant I get them a few times a year. Being pregnant several times a week even with medication. My heart goes out to anyone that experiences them.
