Re: Thursday Ticker Change 1/11
14 and a little peach!!!
2. How are you feeling?
I’m feeling great- more hungry now- but seems like my nausea has subsided.
3. Any appointments this coming week?
Next check up is on Monday! Can’t wait to see baby again!
4. Rants, raves, questions?
Rants- I think I need to get maternity pants- and I’m annoyed since I’m only 14 weeks. I naturally have an apple shape- so I think that has a lot to do with it more than just baby.
Raves- My appetite is back!
Question- anyone sign up for baby classes yet? Or planning to?
5. GTKY: My favorite book is Bridge to teribithia- by Catherine Patterson, I like it because it’s about growing up and how life does not always turn out how you want it. I’ve read it numerous times!
My favorite childrens book is Boom Chicka Boom Boom! Ha not much content but I used to love it!
*edited because my favorite book is not Bridge rob terribithia hahahha
15 Weeks and apparently the size of a magic 8 ball, or so my app tells me today. Ha!
2. How are you feeling?
Good. Normal again. Which is great, and also makes me nervous. But I'm glad to have my energy back and the bloat seems to have gone away so I'm a little more comfortable.
3. Any appointments this coming week?
Nothing this week. Next appointment is the 22nd, which feels really far away! Think I need to get an at home doppler, I wasn't going to do it, but I just want to be able to check in on that little heartbeat!
4. Rants, raves, questions?
5. GTKY: I personally love to read, what’s your favorite book/ or books and why? Can be children so books/adult books whatever you like!
12- a plum
2. How are you feeling?
fatigue might be getting better. Nausea is less. But now having food aversion
3. Any appointments this coming week?
Monday i I have an ultrasound and appointment with the OB.
4. Rants, raves, questions?
Frustrated with trying to pick a name my H also agrees with
5. GTKY: I personally love to read, what’s your favorite book/ or books and why? Can be children so books/adult books whatever you like!
I loce love reading books about people who are living with mental illness- brings new perspectives. One I really liked was called Get me OUT of here and had to do with a boarder line personality female.
@elizabethrn87 that book sound intriguing I’m addding it to my list!! (I also love books like that) so if you have other recommendation let me know!
1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 12! Mnecraft pixel?
2. How are you feeling? I don't want to eat. I thought maybe in hindsight that last pregnancy I was depressed and so I ate less but I'm not really anxious/depressed these days (at least not all the time) so it must just be a pregnancy thing.
3. Any appointments this coming week? Nope! Not til the 22nd.
4. Rants, raves, questions?
5. GTKY: I personally love to read, what’s your favorite book/ or books and why? Can be children so books/adult books whatever you like! My fave series ever of all time is HIs Dark Materials (Golden Compass and subsequent books) and I just finished THe Book of DUst, the first in the follow up series. So good. Before that I read the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson (I'm on a kick, he's my current fave) and am now reading Oathbringer, the 3rd in Sanderson's Stormlight Archive series. I just have loved all of his books I have read, he's so amazing.
2. How are you feeling? slightly better than last week. Puking less often and feeling more normal for longer periods of time.
3. Any appointments this coming week? Next Thursday--I nearly forgot. I think it's possible that my MaterniT21 results will be in by then. Still on the fence about finding out sex so I'll have to ask doctor not to reveal right away if she knows!
4. Rants, raves, questions? My rant is that part of why i feel so good lately is that i'm eating all the food, which I didn't want to do again. But it's temporary, I think, so I'm looking forward to getting back on track with healthier eating habits (portion control).
5. GTKY: I personally love to read, what’s your favorite book/ or books and why? Can be children so books/adult books whatever you like! I don't know...instead I'll answer that I really enjoyed reading Dr. Beverly Tatum's Why are all the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? last fall. And I'm enjoying The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander. I do wish that my reading these books didn't alienate my husband so much so we could talk about them. I joked that his white male ego is too fragile...which probably didn't help him feel better about it, haha. I know it sounds silly, but when I'm done with The New Jim Crow I want to read a book written from the other perspective (social conservatives). I can't fully appreciate any one side without comprehending both. It's like when Creationists try to argue that the evolutionary theory has all these holes, but the Creationists very clearly don't even understand the theory to begin with so their arguments fall flat.
I’m 12 weeks today and just had an appointment yesterday. Next one isn’t until Feb. but I broke down and am paying out of pocket for an early ultrasound to find out the gender! That will also be in early Feb.
How I’m feeling? Y’all don’t even wanna know! The pregnancy is good. Some random nausea. Some booby itchiness. But we are have family stress with my grandmother who is on hospice and dozing REALLY poorly. My parents take care of her and I’ve been going over to help on weekends. But it gets bad. She will constantly argue and fight to have her meds when she just had them. She stays awake day and night, takes her clothes off randomly, tries to pee in random places it was so bad that my parents asked the nurse that comes by if they could get a break, so she went to a nursing home for 5 days for respite care. And proceeded to fall there (luckily no injuries...she is constantly falling because of lack of sleep making her goofy).
Anyway.
Rants/raves/questions: why am I constantly smelling coffee right now? No one in my house drinks it really. It’s driving me batty!
Books: I read a lot but I haven’t read much lately. The last thing I was reading was the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. But it was kinda boring. I read anything from sci-fi to romance novels, to thrillers, etc.
1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby? 14 Weeks! A peach
2. How are you feeling? Nausea has subsided, but the headaches are killing me. I don't know which is worse.
3. Any appointments this coming week? None this week but next week I have a check up
4. Rants, raves, questions? Rants: headaches need to go, also the hunger can leave as well.
Raves: its finally warm enough to wear my maternity maxi skirts
Question: does anyone else feel like its going fast? I was just looking at my calendar I feel like its going so fast!
5. GTKY: I personally love to read, what’s your favorite book/ or books and why? Can be children so books/adult books whatever you like! Children's book: Good Nite Moon, and On the night you were born. Adult book- Anything Danielle, 50 shades trilogy and cheap grocery store books.
@SmashJam Yes. We're all about the geeky adventure in this house. Although I admit I could probably recite from memory more than one Jane Austin novel.
