I am thankful for how wonderful a father my husband is. To see him play with her and how excited she gets when he comes home melts my heart. Not all children have this and I am so thankful for having him in our lives
I’m also thankful to be married to a man who is such a wonderful father. It’s easy to take for granted sometimes, but I don’t know what I’d do without him ❤️
I’m going to jump on the husband bandwagon I am so thankful for my husband. He’s an amazing father and husband. After our son was born he committed to losing weight so he could be in his life for a long time, and he is such an active dad now. He went back to school and got another degree so he would be eligible for a promotion. Now he has more responsibility and puts in more hours, but he did it so I could stay home with our son. When I’ve been sick he comes home after long days and does the housework that I didn’t feel good enough to do. I’m so blessed to have him!
I am thankful that my amazingly supportive parents watch DS while we work. This is a huge help financially but it's also so amazing to see the bond DS shares with them.
Also I love this thread and would like to see it regularly but it also makes me LOL that our bitch and twat threads are normally twice as long by this point in the day.
hahahaha @amylu914 we are very good at bitching. Some days its hard to step back and be like, "oh right, shit ain't that bad."
Yesterday I was grateful so easily. Today, after a mountain of crap, my thankfulness is gonna take some deep digging. So...I am thankful that, while we are having some financial difficulties, we are paying our mortgage and we have food in the freezer. We are better off than some even if we are struggling, and we'll get through it!
I'm grateful for a 3yo who has held in there with me these past couple months. He went from a very active mother and a pretty stimulated daily routine to a mother who was sick and tired everyday and lays around a lot lately. I'm getting better now and trying to get back in the groove, but it's been a big change for him. And he's been so sweet and nurturing and just snuggles with me. I really got lucky.
I am thankful for a Smart Tv and Hulu so I can binge watch Desperate Housewives all day. I am also thankful for Ruffles and Green chili dip. Wish I didn’t eat the whole tub already.
I'm thankful for this fluffy mutt. She is 90% cat in a dog's body, however she is always willing to snuggle with me. She makes my shitty days better by just laying next to me and demanding chest rubs. I cannot wait to see her bond with the baby. She's a good girl.
I am thankful for a husband who is wonderful, in so many ways... and a daughter I am happy to wake up to everyday. Toddlers can be difficult, and she's had a rough few weeks. But I go to check on her before I go to sleep, and she's such a little angel and I am lucky I get to be her mama.
I know this is a given for all of us but I'm beyond thankful to have this little baby growing inside me. At 43, I had pretty much lost hope of ever being mom until my incredible DH sat me down and told me he wanted to do it all over again ... together with me (his kids are 21 and 23). I am thankful everyday and can hardly believe this isn't a dream.
I am thankful for my health. After being sick back to back for two weeks, I can finally breathe through my nose.
I’m also thankful for my husband. While I was sick he slept with our dog in the living room to make sure I had a good night’s rest.
Also so thankful for said dog because he just makes my days so much better. And our parents that help with dog sitting him while we work during the week. They have been practicing grandparent duties since we brought him home and are eagerly awaiting to be first time grandparents to a human. Lol
Thankful that this pregnancy is going WAY better that with DS. Not being on bedrest makes a big difference in how fast (or slow) it feels. Can’t believe it’s already second tri! I feel like I’m starting to enjoy it more. Also Thankful that DA sleeps most of the night in his bed.
Loving the dog posts! Can’t wait to see my dog when I go back to California! This green rope leash pic is from the day I adopted her. I had to leave her with my mom in California this summer because she was extremely bonded with my mom’s dog. Sorry if pics are huge. On mobile.
And I'm thankful that my dog hasn't peed in my bed...yet. I think she juuuuust peed. Greeeeaaaaatt.....
And the huge meeting I was planning for today went better than expected. The faculty behaved and there was only one snarky comment that made me ragey for a few minutes but it came from someone expected.
Thankful no one noticed a bump at today's meeting...I'm not ready to tell the entire dept even though today would have been super easy. "BTW everyone--baby #3 on its way!" One of my co-workers even asked me today if we were going to stick with 2 kids or are planning on 3. Haha, I was like, we're thinking about it! Can't wait to tell her soon.
Jumping on the grateful for hubby train! Even though he’s a total shit and bought crypto currency today without asking me first (wtf are these things anyway), he’s helped me get through a tough week of lay offs and has been taking over most of the stuff around the house while I be lazy and pout
@kinny512 hahaha at your husband buying cryptocurrency. My husband has been keeping me updated--the whole thing is crazy...the value is literally just based on speculation and people's excitement over the bitcoin craze so it's super volatile. I mean, bitcoin has been around for years--I remember in college my husband and his roommates were talking about whether to mine it or not (never did) but we'd be pretty f-ing rich right now if they did and we sold it.
@flockofmoosen3 omg could you imagine? Or even if you had bought like $100 back then. Apparently the next hot one is Ripple. Idk my eyes just kind of glaze over
@kinny512 hahaha, I asked my husband why they never mined the bitcoins and he was like, we weren't nerdy enough--we were smoking pot and listening to music. And that was a house full of computer science and engineering majors haha. yeah ripple, and I heard Kodak is coming out with something soon...ugh...
@babybakie aweee, your post made my heart melt a little bit. I’m so happy you’re here with us! And I agree with you ladies that July moms are the bomb.com
I am thankful for my 20 month old DD. We switched her into a real bed this week because the moving company broke her crib. She has been sleeping through the night and loving her new bed! She actually seems excited for bed every time she sees her pillow, and I am just so thrilled that this is one thing I don’t have to train her to do or stress about
I am thankful for this board of strong, funny, snarky and sweet people and probably 1 man as was pointed out earlier It's still pretty early on but I feel bonded to so many of you!
Re: Thankful Thursday
@lindsayleigh1989 I cannot wait to see my DH become a father, I just know it will melt my heart to pieces even more that DH melts it already!!

I guess just thankful for family in general!
