Monday Bitchfest- Jan 8

Morning ladies! I did the unthinkable and weighed myself today after eating a ton of bread (and whatever else I wanted) this past weekend. Since I weighed myself last (a few weeks ago) I've gained about 6 or 7 lbs. I almost fell off the scale I was so shocked!

Mind you- I should know better because I have PCOS and will gain weight if I even breathe in the scent of carbs...and with the weather being ridiculously cold I haven't been doing my daily walks. I'm done with the excuses because I still have a ways to go before this baby is born! While I know my weight shouldn't be my top priority, I am already overweight and know I don't need to gain a lot (last pregnancy I gained 16lbs in total, which my dr was fine with). Going walking today at lunch!

Happy Monday!

  • @Lucky2K13 It's OK, it happens! Getting back on the bandwagon for exercise is great. Good luck!

My BF is that last week I worked 4 days, and the next two are 5 days each, but I am supposed to be part-time, lol. Because we can only get childcare one day per week, it means I work 2 nights, 1 day, and then weekend shifts, so working loses me sleep and our only real family time on the weekends. Working til midnight, and getting up at 6 and sometimes overnight with my son is super exhausting lately.

  • @lucky2k13 You are brave! Since I can no longer button my pants, I've been hesitant to step on a scale. Enjoy your lunch time walk! Hope the weather is nice for you!

    @pourmeamocktail Ugh that sounds exhausting!

My BF is that none of my clients have paid their December invoices. I offered my "best" (use to be, has spent the most) client a payment plan this weekend because he's so far behind. I need my money people!
  • My kid doesn’t even go to school on Monday’s, they still called/text/email me this morning at 5 am to cancel school. Could have done without that thanks!!!

Also believe that DS2 senses he’s about to lose his baby title soon, and is following me around crying forever. Thank god for babywearing  :D

  • @SkilledSailor it is, especially since someone got up before 6 today and I work tonight. And it totally sucks that your clients are being douche canoes. Pay up!

@HairBossMama My toddler has been extra clingy and cranky and literally attached since I took my test, I think sometimes they just sense it!

  • @Lucky2K13 you are a brave soul. I am packing away the scale for the next 9 months. Ain't nobody got time for that! ;)

I'm already annoyed by EVERYONE at work. I'm quiting my job of the past 10 years once I'm far enough along (7 months or so) to be a full time SAHM and to say I'm over it already would be an understatement. The count down is on!

I'm also real annoyed with by OBGYN who scheduled my ultrasound this morning... For 11 weeks! I was seen at 8 weeks with my first and I just want that reassurance sooner than later... :/
  • @pourmeamocktail oh man you must be so tired :( that sounds really hard.

@megster0418 uugghhh. Is your OB super busy? That happened to a friend of mine that sees a really popular doctor in our area. It feels so far away, right?! Hopefully the time will pass quickly.

@SkilledSailor they need to pay up!! Rude!
  • @megster0418 WOW 11 weeks along seems long to me. My office said they like to see women between 7-8 weeks! Did you talk to a receptionist, or to the doctor/doctor's nurse?

ALSO- I've been in a mood where I'd totally love to be a SAHM. Maybe it's the back-to-work blues but I'm really just not feeling it. Good for you for finding a way to be happy, because I'd totally do it if we could financially swing it!
