I’m stuck at work working a 12 hour day. I am already exhausted and I fell asleep last night at 8:30. I also dislike the guy co-worker I work with because he’s lazy AF
@megnwingate ugh lazy coworkers are the worst! Hope your work day is going by quickly!
My movers had to bail on a staging yesterday so H and I did a pick up, a couch delivery, and a staging today. I think my butt will stay on the couch the rest of the weekend. So. Tired. But the staged house looks amazing so I’m excited about that!
sorry, AW moment. So I have my favorite jeans in like 7 sizes. No joke. Last weeker I had two pairs bigger than what I was wearing. Yesterday I couldn't get into the biggest pair...even the hair tie method was hurting. So I'm totally in maternity jeans at work. Last pregnancy I only made it to 7 or 8 weeks-some bloat but I get big fast.
Today I'm feeling totally self conscience about it, because I am only 5+1 and don't want to tell my boss or regular customers yet, but I don't look like me (and I wear small tight shorts/shirt in the summer, so they all know what I look like normally. For reference, I wear an H cup bra and don't usually have a belly.

I think the exhaustion has hit today this is not good since I have a two day work training with "evening team building" which means drink fest that I have to fake my way though on Monday
@pourmeamocktail fingers crossed no one notices! If someone comments make a dramatic scene about how they are calling you fat or that you ate too much over the holidays... Then laugh and walk away like nothing happened. Hopefully you only encounter polite people today!
@EErin86 Lol, if I get a rude person for sure, but I'm more worried about the next 3-4 weeks before I want to tell anyone, and my nice regulars or coworkers noticing. I'm not going to lie to them, but I'm *hoping* they'll just not notice...or at least not bring it up. Good luck with your bonding. Sprite with a lime in a cocktail glass looks like a gin and tonic.

My coworker asked me if i was pregnant even before our first beta! Lol. I was trying to play off my not feeling great as just my cold, and I guess it didn't work. I just laughed and said, "I wish!" Not sure she bought it though...
@businesswife I swear some people just know! We’re not telling H’s parents til after the US. We went over for dinner last weekend and one of the first things MIL asked was when they were going to be grandparents. She never asks me that!
I guess this is where I can post this, but here this last week I can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong with this pregnancy. Nothing scientific or anything behind it, I just feel weird
@megnwingate I'm so sorry you feel that way. The first tri is the worst. I peed on another test to reassure myself this morning because I've been feeling the same way as you. Is there anything that would make you feel better? When is your first appointment?

@starla nothing really to help me feel better that I can think of. My appt is 1/16. 6 weeks today. I did POAS again this morning but my mind keeps thinking the line is lighter. All I can do is pray.
@megnwingate Have you tried testing with diluted urine? Apparently once the hcg levels are too high it shows up as a light line but diluting it helps somehow.
@megnwingate. I'm so sorry you're feeling that way. And @Starla too. (((Hugs))) it's definitely nerve-wracking. We have all our hopes and dreams riding on this pregnancy right now, and there's really nothing we can do except wait and see. :/
I do believe prayer works, if you are into that sort of thing. ❤ I feel like I have to kind of just trust and believe, that God - and all His armies of angels!!! - are already looking out for our tiny little starts. That helps me, to feel like myself, my baby, my whole body, and home, are all surrounded in this great swathe of celestial love and light.
Maybe you would have your own visualization techniques that could help you?
@megnwingate I've read about what @SkilledSailor mentioned. I think it's called the hook effect. Only 9 days to go until your appointment. You can do this!

I went to my nurse intake appointment on Friday (which I originally showed up to on Thursday...ugh!) and I spoke with the receptionist, the nurse, the lab tech, the schedule and finally the woman at the accounting desk (they over charged me for my well woman a few months ago) and it wasn't until the accounting office that anyone said "Congratulations" or offered any bit of happiness. I don't need any special accommodations for having a baby, but this is a planned, wanted and loved baby in a woman's clinic! Let's be joyful everybody!!
@megnwingate I'm right along side of you with this anxiety. My doctor fkrst makes you have a phone appointment with a nurse. That's at 8 weeks so I've still got 2 1/2 weeks go! This is before you get an ultrasound appointment even scheduled! Not to mention they've not even asked me to have a blood draw... I'm a nervous wreck as I have no symptoms! Ugh. Thinking of you girl and hope your anxiety lifts soon!
