I know that y'all can't give me a for sure answer that I have to wait until my actual anatomy scan but I just wanted to know if any of you ladies had a doctor tell you that they were pretty sure about a gender and it being right or if it had changed.
I have an anterior placenta, I found that out yesterday. My doctor was having problems finding the heart beat on the doppler so she used the ultrasound machine and found it right away. I had told her that I had thought that it was a boy because of the dreams I was having. She said since she could see the baby's bottom she would see if she could see anything. She didnt see any boy parts and fairly sure that it is a girl, but will know for sure in 4 weeks. She identified the umbilical cord and it wasn't between the baby's legs. Have you ladies ever had an experience like that and the doctor being right or did the gender change at a later scan.
Re: First time mom, curious about anatomy scan.
That's why you wait until you're closer to 20 weeks to get results from the anatomy scan, or go through NIPT testing, which can still have a minor margin of error.
There are even some women who are told at their anatomy scans they're having one sex, and give birth and find out baby is another sex.
The only 100% accurate way to know your baby's sex is to give birth.
