I have already done my research on vaccinations and I don’t plan to vaccinate my child at all. I don’t believe in outsourcing my role as a parent to the government nor the medical industry. I also don’t allow the very people who create vaccinations or benefit from me vaccinating to be my only source of information on the topic of vaccinations. I only want to consider what other women are doing about vaccinations. With that being said, Vaccinations: Yay or Nay?

I don’t trust peer reviewed studies or doctor recommendations, I only trust internet strangers. The government doesn’t know me or the microorganisms inside me...
Vaccinate your f’ing kid... It doesn’t cause autism but it might just keep them from contracting measles.

How is exactly is your parenting alone going to protect your child (not to mention the immune-compromised public) from things like the measles and polio?
If you’re already so firm in your decision, why are you even asking this question? It feels like an easy way to pop in here and just try to stir up drama. Spoiler: this will likely not be popular around these parts because science, so, mission accomplished!
Oh, of course! Why would doctors or scientists know anything about vaccinations or medically-related studies?
I take it that since you want neither to be a part of your parenting influence that you are on your own for prenatal care and birth? Good luck with that.
As one of the millions of US healthcare workers, scientists, lab researchers, pharmacists, biologists, etc, I can totally confirm that we are ALL totes in on some grand conspiracy to harm you and your child by offering a preventative measure for deadly diseases that used to kill many but don’t so much anymore. It’s totally all a sham. We actually have super secret meetings every month about it. I’m so super rich too from offering sham vaccines. I’m just rolling in the dough over here.
OP, since you don’t plan on outsourcing your role as a parent to the government or health industry, I’m assuming you will never take your kid to the doctor, or let them drive (lest a government worker dare pull them over for going too fast), or let them get cold medicine (after all, that damn healthcare industry is just out to get you!) Poor kiddo.
Vaccinate your damn kid. Not doing so is child abuse.
so glad so many others are like minded. Guess what some of us are immunocompromised and jerks that dont vaccinate put us at risk every single day. so yeah it is a stupid and jerk move to not vaccinate and I will never allow anyone unvaccinated in my house, on playdates or birthday parties sorry not sorry my health and my infants is far more important than morons who think they should play God with extreme illness...
A billion times yes to vaccinations!!! Unless you medically really really can’t vaccinate then you should do your part in society and help protect those who can’t be vaccinated by vaccinating your own child. I’d take a disabled child over a deceased one that could have survived by being vaccinated.
There are parents out there who can't vaccinate their children due to health issues. Are you really willing to put other people's children at risk? For example my dd had ohs at 6 months and when it was time to vaccinate her right before they recommended holding off (cardiologist orders) and waiting 8 weeks after surgery. So if people like your children were around my child at that time, it could require hospilization or worse. Also depending on what your plan is for school systems, they may require your child to be current on vaccinations. I live in Kentucky and several districts aren't allowing you to send your kids without being current ( going into effect next year), unless it is truly a medical necessity.
I never understood the reason people wouldn't vaccinate their children. Like.. what's the actual reason? I've heard autism and not wanting government to control us. Not that its an accurate argument, but I have two autistic nephews. I'd rather my child had autism than polio or typhoid.

So if we all say we vaccinate our children you will? Cause it sounds like you’ve already made up your mind...
I’m definitely not a troll and this post was not made just to spark debate. And you’re right, your input won’t determine my decision at all lol. I’ve done my research and there are plenty of parents who have not vaccinated their child and still did not experience anything tragic from not doing so. I don’t plan to put my child in school but homeschool so the school system doesn’t factor in anyway. It doesn’t make since to inject my child with all these chemicals just to protect other people. You may think it’s crazy and obviously the majority rules on the topic of vaccinations but it doesn’t change my position on it. I wish people would grow up and stop being so defensive and disrespectful when someone holds a different position than their own. I don’t think it’s wrong to vaccinate if you do and I don’t think it’s wrong if you don’t. I just simply chose not to because of my own reasons and yes not trusting the medical industry nor the government is one of them. Anyways, we are all parents just trying to do what we think is best for our children just in different ways. All the disrespect is not necessary. Smdh
My favorite anti-vax comment is always "I've done my own research." Because everything you read on the public Internet is true.
Just FYI most peer reviewed and generally accepted medical studies are not posted for free consumption online. They are on databases that you need to pay to use. Therefore, doctors legitimately have better access to more information than we do, because they pay to access it. I could get online tomorrow and write an argument for and against vaccines, using the same cited research to make it look legitimate, but for all anyone would know I'd be pulling it out of my ass because the general public can't access the actual studies to confirm any of what I'm saying. This is why I trust doctors. They're not trying to put one over on you. They're trying to keep you alive and they quite literally have access to better, newer, and more relevant information than you do.
I hope your kid doesn't die of an easily prevented disease because of your refusal to accept scientific fact though. That would really suck.

To the bolded: Baaaahahahahahhaa ok sure
To the rest: Don your tinfoil hat and stay away from me and my kids

That gave me a good chuckle. Solid logic there. I know some people who didn't have smoke detectors in their homes, and they never died in a fire, so now I don't have smoke detectors either!!

Then what was the point of this post? You knew it was a hot button topic and we weren’t going to change your mind and you’re definitely not changing anyone’s here because, you know science and all, so you just thought you’d stir the pot?
Also, I was homeschooled and my parents still had the good sense to vaccinate me.

We grew up in an age when car seats weren’t enforced but i guess it’s just the government trying to make us spend more money on useless things to “protect” our children. Logical argument! Also keep away from other prescription drugs given by your doc because they aren’t trustworthy.
Seriously hope you didn’t just jinx yourself with that comment!

The fact that you don't think it makes sense to vaccinate your child to protect others speaks volumes of your character. Vaccines aren't just about your own child. Its a public health issue because the more people that decide not to vaccinate their children, the increased likelihood of potentially deadly diseases occurring once again.
And if that does happen, what do you think is going to happen to your unvaccinated child then?
@babygunn2018 glad to know you are truly a selfish self absorbed person and that my own life means nothing to you. Hmm the only people I have ever come across with such attrocious views of other people's right to live are say hitler and other attrocious leaders.
ohey @babygunn2018 have you ever looked up videos on youtube of what whooping cough looks up in an infant. please do because just because your child may not get sick they most defjnitely could infect others more vulnurable such as myself or our infants. Than please come back here and tell me again you dont care If an immuno compromised person like myself or my infant die because of your choice because guess what that is EXACTLY what you said.
Also have you read the articles of mothers who refused to vaccinate their children because "others didnt and their kids were fine" and than watched their children suffer and I mean suffer through these illnesses or worse die all because of their selfish choice? Want to know secret? NONE of them Not one said they still stood by they decision and that it was worth it. Every single one said they wished they had trusted their dr's and regret their choice. your decision is not based on longitudinal, evidenced based studies it is based on fear mongering compaigns that dont explain the purpose or amount if what is in vaccines.
also I assume if you child unfortunately has cancer you will refuse chemo right and let them die? you know because "chemicals" even though it had been proven to SAVE LIVES. you know why anti vaxers arent anti chemo even thougb it is literally the same fight? because they know they know how stupid and insane that is yet somehow have delusioned their first world spoiled selves into believing they know best. news flash you dont.
I'm pretty sure the only delusional one here is the one with the conspiracy theories spewing out...
Seeing as how you are so "enlightened" why grace us with your presence at all? If you are so certain why post this? Actually big brother is probably watching I suggest breaking out that tin foil hat and go off the grid that is really the only way to be safe from "the man" until society gets "woke"
Pretty sure the only reason my mom is alive today is because of chemotherapy. I hope you wake up and realize what a bunch of nonsense you believe before you or someone in your family gets a serious illness that requires medical intervention.
Lol well I’m sorry to here about your moms fight with cancer. I’m sure that’s added to your strong feelings about medical interventions. Is she ever really had cancer anyway, they also misdiagnose people. Anyways I’m confident that my family will be just fine. Thanks
@mileswithmyles so sorry for her battle but so glad she is doing better. Please ignore the person trying to discount all your mother endured as a misdiagnosis since it does not align with her misguided notions. I also know first hand how amazing and lifesaving chemo is. F cancer it sucks but chemo and radiation have saved so many family members and friends.
Girl you act like you know us. I am not brainwashed. I’m all for natural but there are limitations. I have seen the positive affects of seeing doctors and following their recommendations. My sister wouldn’t be breathing if it weren’t for her asthma and allergy meds, my grandma was given 6 months to live from cancer but lived 6 more years instead, my fertility was preserved due to endless surgeries and medications, my babies survived because of early pregnancy medications. I have family who are doctors and i know i can always ask them for feedback if i have my doubts. I’d rather be healthy and in financial ruin than dying as a result of pride or worse my children dying. edited to add “years”

The use of LOL really emphasizes her sincerity. /sarcasm
Guys this poor woman is clearly too far gone to even have a rational conversation with. The best we can do is hope we live far away from her and her at risk family. I can’t believe people truly have those kinds of thoughts about modern medicine. Makes me super sad for the poor kid who will be educated by her via homeschooling and continue the vicious cycle of misinformation.
