  • 1. Were almost to the half way mark, what are you most looking forward to about the second half of pg?
The belly looking more belly than "maybe she needs to hit the gym" lmao
Also, buying baby stuff!! We're getting a lot of stuff soon, so we're holding off until we get stuff to even make a registry.
I may order the "coming home" outfit soon though. We know the idea we want for onsie and we wanna grab some light leggings/pants and hat in case.
    2. Have you felt a kick yet?
Felt flutters once. Nothing else. Going to be 18 weeks tomorrow so might be early for FTM
    3. Overall, how are you feeling? Any new symptoms?
    REVENGE OF THE MORNING SICKNESS!!! {like before, it's more at evening/night}
All the citrus! Juice mostly. I need to be careful because it gives me cold sores with too much acid. I balance it out with hot chocolate or chocolate milk
    4. When is your anatomy scan?
Monday! I've suggested to my husband on us finding out privately before family since we're having "gender reveal cake" on the weekend after. I just feel it's really important for us. Haven't decided on ultrasound tech telling us, or having tech write it down and just look in the car.

  • 1. Were almost to the half way mark, what are you most looking forward to about the second half of pg?
I'm really looking forward to the anatomy scan being over and knowing that baby is ok.  I think at that point I will really get excited to plan the nursery and will have an easier time imagining life with a child.  I'm also really looking forward to not working for awhile.  And having a baby shower and getting baby stuff.  Basically, I'm looking forward to being confident that this baby will be born healthy and whole.

    2. Have you felt a kick yet?
I thought I was feeling something last week, but it's gone away now.  Cue the anxiety.

    3. Overall, how are you feeling? Any new symptoms?
@MissKittyDanger I've been getting evening sickness again as well!  I don't know why.  It's not as bad as before, but I thought I was over this :(  I've also got a pinched nerve or something in my lower left hip.  It burns when I stretch it or lie on it, so now it keeps me from sleeping on my left side.

    4. When is your anatomy scan?
Next Thursday!  I'm a mixed bag of emotions about it.  I'm at a higher risk of neural tube defects (which my doctor likes to remind me of every visit) so it will be a big relief if everything checks out.  Also just the general knowing that baby is ok- it feels like forever since I last got to hear the heartbeat.

I am also looking forward to the fuller rounder belly. Its weird, it got this big in a couple weeks (or so it felt) I thought by now I'd be bigger. Also looking forward to showers.

    2. Have you felt a kick yet?
I feel like I have started to feel them bc its repeated.

    3. Overall, how are you feeling? Any new symptoms?
I had some feet & ankle swelling last week, but none this week, and I'm sure it was from flying for the holidays. After a couple days back I've been just fine.

    4. When is your anatomy scan?
My 20 week appointment is on the 26th, but I haven't scheduled the scan yet bc my doctor wants me to do it at the hospital and I want to call my insurance first.

  • @RatParade I think mine is more acid reflux related tbh, but feels the same. I'm gonna try changing a few things I eat to see if it helps, maybe I'm eating more acidic stuff recently?
Btw look for a good, used doppler if you wanna hear heartbeat often :) I got lucky my OB wanted to hear it, so we heard ours recently

@RatParade Thinking lots of good thoughts for your anatomy scan!!
@ffw0617 Three cheer for kicks! I will never stop thinking it's awesome.
@MaraJeanily Sorry you're feeling like crap. :( Nausea, or more than that?

    1. Were almost to the half way mark, what are you most looking forward to about the second half of pg?
Always more movement. Looking forward to when my husband can feel from the outside...he was SO excited about that last time!
    2. Have you felt a kick yet? Yes, it's getting pretty regular in the evenings now. I feel the rolling and squirming more than the kicking.
    3. Overall, how are you feeling? Any new symptoms? Pretty good! Stress related to other stuff, but pregnancy is going all right.

  • 1. We're almost to the half way mark, what are you most looking forward to about the second half of pg?  I'm looking forward to getting past the anatomy scan and the fetal echo so that I can be comfortable with this baby's health.  I tell myself I'll start buying things for the baby at that point, but with him being the third, there's next to nothing to buy. I haven't gotten rid of anything from DS1 and DS2.  We'll set up the crib, but I don't think we'll do a lot of room decorating or theme (just not my thing).  Sorry, third kid.
    2. Have you felt a kick yet?  I've been feeling movement since 16 weeks.  It's been much more consistent the past few days.
    3. Overall, how are you feeling? Any new symptoms?  I'm feeling pretty good.  Mostly I'm tired from the craziness of the holidays, the move, and all that.  Plus the company I work for is being acquired and that's supposed to be finalized this month, so work is kind of crazy right now as well.
    4. When is your anatomy scan? The 17th.  Fetal echo will be in February.

Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV).  First open heart surgery at 5 days old.  He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing.
    Third Son - due June 9, 2018
  • @MoonOverGoldsboro I've never been a fan of tums, so I basically just drink a lot of milk and try to cut back on acidic foods. It happens to me every so often, just takes more effort to handle when pregnant it seems :(
