Any new symptoms? Headaches and restlessness. Seriously...this better get better at some point.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Had an appointment last week. Went well. OB said baby is looking really good. Next scheduled appointment isn't until Feb. 6th (16 week appointment). I'm waiting for Kaiser to call to schedule my NT scan.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy? What I'm looking most forward to: Seeing my husband bond with our baby and creating traditions together.
Most nervous about: lack of sleep, mental health, breastfeeding, the pain that is child birth (I'm a weak ass when it comes to pain).

Questions for FTM, or STM+? I always have a bunch then draw a blank when here to ask...

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? "I'm right on top of that Rose!"  - Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.

    Any new symptoms?
I'm feeling pretty well overall! Is feeling lazy a symptom? Because if so, I def have that!
Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go?
Can't wait to see the babe next Monday for my checkup. They are every 4 weeks but I was spoiled this time because the NT was in between.
What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy?
I am with @zombiehoohaa on the pain of labor and the lack of sleep. I'm a bit nervous about balancing work and also about making sure I still have a healthy relationship with DH. Excited about seeing him with the baby, and I'm actually pretty excited about maternity leave and mommying full time for a bit.
    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
I like the post on the sleeping surfaces, was trying to figure out how to get organized with a newborn in terms of where they sleep.

    Any new symptoms?
have been having a lot of pelvic heaviness/dull and brief pain right above and on my pubic bone and have been driving myself crazy thinking something is wrong with my cervix even though it’s probably just because I have twins in there growing. Still won’t feel ok until my next appointment where they can check and make sure all is ok.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go?
i had been super spoiled seeing the babies basically every week for a while and now I am on week 3 of 4 between scans. Jan 11 can’t come soon enough

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy?
Well once I see the babies are ok next week and I’m out of second tri I’ll just be freaking out about preterm labor for the next 20 or so weeks so definitely that. Looking forward to having the babies out safe and sound-or at least the time where I might feel mildly confident that will happen

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
not yet, unless there’s another twin mom from manhattan on here that can recommend a good prenatal class. Need to sign up for one soon.

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? honestly not really a movie person but I could spend all day quoting 30 rock
  • @kissableviv I was just reading up about CA pregnancy disability (up to 4 weeks paid pre labor, then 6 weeks (if normal birth) or 8 weeks (if c-section) and then it turns into PFL, which I think is 12 weeks. My work gives me 4 months unpaid leave. So, I'm now feeling a bit better about this whole bonding time... definitely with you about balancing work though. The pain of childbirth is what I'm still held up on...I just...I'm scared about this...

Any new symptoms? No new symptoms. Some of my symptoms are actually starting to go away and it’s freaking me out a bit.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Next ultrasound is Jan 18th! I wish it would come faster. I need to see/hear the hearbeat again!

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy? Actually getting a bump <3 / not looking forward to being at the beach while 30 something weeks pregnant.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? is it normal for symptoms to start disappearing around 11 weeks?

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? can’t really quote movies but I can quote the office like nobody’s business  ;)

    Any new symptoms?
My boobs hurt so much, they feel full and when I sleep I can’t be leaving on them at all.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go?
I had my NT scan last Friday- I think it went well, we get the results this week. Next appointment is at 14 weeks on 1/15.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy?
I’m looking forward to seeing who my baby looks like/ my husband is Dominican (super cute) and I am white- so I’ve been dreaming of what are babies will look like for years!!! I’m nervous about working/ and my commute for these 9 months. I feel like later on it will be harder to get around. But I know many people don’t have trouble working right up until their due dates.

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
    Not right now.

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most?
this is strange but I loved watching the movie Scream as a teenager and can quote it, but I’ll add Grease, Sandlot and Stand By me to the list too!!!

    Your killing me smalls!

edited* because I’m one day further than I thought- it’s been a long day!
  • How far along are you? 11 weeks

    Any new symptoms? Constipation. Bleh.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? My first US was yesterday and it was f-ing awesome. I feel so much relief knowing that things are good in there.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy? Most looking forward to: Knitting for a baby. I'm a knitter, like it's my whole thing, so I am STOKED to start knitting for my own. Most nervous about: People. And their advice/criticism/trying to touch my stomach/giving me more attention than I want.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Nope.

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? The Sandlot. And The Royal Tenenbaums.
  • How far along are you? 10w 4d

Any new symptoms? The constipation has upped its game big time. This is literally the worst. I'd rather have round ligament pain.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Got my blood drawn for the Panorama test yesterday. NT scan coming up on the 13th. Can't wait to see how much this little nugget has grown and changed over 4 weeks!

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy? I'm looking forward to decorating the nursery. I already have an intensive Pinterest board. just need the hubster to finish cleaning out the closet. The rest will be moving things around the house or selling.

Things I'm most nervous about - actual birth. I keep getting reminded that at some point I need to push this thing out of me and that is a bit scary. I've started researching pain management during labor and all of it sounds horrible for a FTM. I think I need to stop thinking about this so much right now.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Nada

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? Star Wars and Lord of the Rings...any of them. Cause I'm a dork.
  • @ashbub714 my symptoms started fluctuating around 10-11 weeks. I'm 13 weeks now. They would go away for a few days and then come back. It freaks me out too, but I was able to find the heartbeat on a home monitor around 11 weeks, and that has been helpful for easing anxiety. Just had to make sure I was counting the bpm so that I wasn't confusing it with my own pulse!

@ckmb_knottie thank you! That makes me feel a lot better. I had my worse day of nausea Saturday and since then there’s been not much of anything. I’m grateful but I tend to also worry. I need to look into a home monitor. That would help ease my mind.

    Any new symptoms? More headaches

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? I had an appointment today and got to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler, wasn’t expecting that, so that was pretty neat.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy?
Most looking forward to holding my healthy baby once he or she is born.

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? The Big Lebowski

    Any new symptoms?
Not yet, just enjoying a little more energy.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go?
Had one right after Christmas, the scale was really mean that day! Otherwise it went well. Next appointment isn't until the 22nd.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy?
Looking forward to raising a kickass little leader and my husband hopefully having someone to hopefully go camping with eventually (I do not backpack). Nervous about being smothered by my mom, she's been pretty good about it so far, but her new husband has his hands full trying to keep her reasonable. She's just too excited and she tends to get in my space and that gives me anxiety in general.

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
At some point do we get to feel sexy again instead of feeling like an acne covered pig? Cause I do not feel pretty these days.

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? BBC's Pride and Prejudice. But if we're talking about a TV show, Hart of Dixie, so many great one liners in that show. Right now the one I say the most around here to DH is "Be my tastebuds" for anything that is off limits. Cracks him up every single time, but we're easily amused!
  • @catftm2018 It makes me so incredibly happy to see Scream in your GTKY answer! I cannot even try to guess at how many times I have watched that movie!

How far along are you? 12+4

Any new symptoms? Not really, but I can definitely feel my pants starting to get tight.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? We had our NT scan on Tuesday. While everything looked good on ultrasound (and we got to see the little tater tot move around like crazy) we ended up coming up as an increased Down Syndrome risk due to low PAPP-A levels in my bloodwork. It was some scary news to get, but we spoke to a genetic counselor yesterday and she did not seem to think we had much to worry about. She said it is still more likely than not that LO is fine, and while there are some scary complications associated with levels that low they are also pretty rare. So we drew blood for NIPT and I will have to have additional scans in the third trimester in order to monitor growth due to my low levels.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy? After infertility and our scare earlier this week I am most looking forward to FINALLY holding this baby in my arms. Honestly, I think I may be most nervous about childbirth itself.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Not that I can think of.

  • How far along are you?
    14 weeks, 1 day.

    Any new symptoms?
Still with the crazy dreams.  Not enjoying that too much.  Feeling a little more achy around my uterus - not sure what that's all about.  Maybe things are just expanding?

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go?
Not until MLK day.  Feels like forever.  Also still waiting on my NIPT results.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy?
Most looking forward to .  Aside from something going wrong with the baby before/during birth, most worried about what the implications will be when I tell my job.  Concerned about them taking away work/responsibility from me.  I've only been in this job about a year and 3 months, had a great first year, but we operate on a calendar year and they are just determining assignments for the new year now.

    Questions for FTM, or STM+?
If your child is in daycare, what were the most important factors in making a choice?  We visited a few this morning and in addition to the fact that we are a little behind (!) for our area - one place cited a wait of 12 months, which is really too long for us - it just seems hard to figure out what will be best.

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? Apollo 13 and Independence Day.  Family favorites from when we were younger.  And The Holiday with Jude Law, Jack Black, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Winslet.
  • @devilcat139 Big fan of 30 Rock!  My husband and are on season 4 I believe now and it's SO good.
  • @Pinky917 amazing!!! Was my fav movie for a while/ I love horror movie and I have a 12 year old crush on Matthew Lillard. Too funny!!!
  • How far along are you? I'm 13 + 4

Any new symptoms? Nothing new, still have some nausea, which I am very sick of right now (so to speak!)

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Had a good NT scan. Have been having some heart palpitations, so I'm doing an exercise stress test with a cardiologist on Monday.

What are you most looking forward to/most nervous about with this pregnancy? I'm looking forward to meeting my baby girl. I'm also very nervous about labor and delivery. I meet with a maternal fetal medicine specialist later this month to determine whether I need to have a planned c-section or whether I can give birth vaginally.

Questions for FTM, or STM+? Just starting to think about prepping the baby's room, creating a registry, etc. and am trying to get organized. Is there a such thing as a website that recommends when you should do X, Y, and Z by? (Maybe it's even on The Bump, but looking for as many recs as possible.)

GTKY: What is the one movie that you can quote the most? An oldie but a goodie: Heathers!

I've been wondering about that too. We started getting organized and clearing out some space. But I would love a list of things with a timeline, the knot had that for weddings so the bump should have it too?
