I love that I'm not the only one who is struggling with what day it is. It's Thursday right now. I only know because I am working on payroll for tomorrow. Want to make this a UO thread?
  • Bahaha! Wishful thinking on my part I guess. Yes yes. Let’s make this a UO

  • I'm tired of Fixer Upper and am glad the show ended.
  • While I'm super excited about baby, I'm not looking forward to another summer pregnancy. I hate being huge in the summer-I already run super hot.

  • @pourmeamocktail DS was a March baby and I appreciated the in-tummy furnace that he was. I’m so dreading a summer baby for the same reason!
  • @Wishilivedinflorida I actually spent all but 4 weeks of my last pregnancy in Florida, and other than 3 weeks in Feb, they had record breaking highs the whole time-Oct-April it averaged 90-96 the entire time. The three weeks in Feb were my favorite, even though we didn't have a furnace. Breastfeeding my son (who is also a heater) from June to Aug when he was little and it was also mostly super hot in Chicago where we moved, was a hot mess too.

  • @pourmeamocktail oh man...nursing a hot sweaty baby when you are also hot and sweaty is a special kind of torture (sorry everyone who things nursing is rainbows and butterflies all the time)
  • @lumosmaxima So true! I actually enjoy nursing my toddler more than when he was an infant. Less often, and for less time, and I could say no!

  • @pourmeamocktail I never made it to toddler years! Longest I nursed was until he was 13 months and I was sooooooo beyond done. I have a lot of respect for mamas that keep going!
  • @lumosmaxima 13 months was just about when it got better for me! He's 19 months now and we'll see if he continues and if I dry up....idk, he's always been so high needs and poor sleeping that I couldn't stand the thought of cutting him off and losing my only trump card!

  • @megnwingate Yes, I agree! Plus I'm so tired from all the other holidays by the time NYE comes around.

@wishilivedinfloride I actually still like the tiny house shows. They're my guilty pleasure. We hope to have a tiny house one day, but to use as a vacation home in the mountains. Not to live in full-time.

@pourmeamocktail Yes! I'm so so happy to be pregnant but I'm terrified of being in third tri during the late summer in NC. The humidity is horrible.
  • @pourmeamocktail I was wondering if I should start a nursing moms thread. I’m like @lumosmaxima, though. Ready to be done. I’m already losing supply, though I feel guilty because DS is only 9 months. Im probably going to have to start supplementing soon. I’m worried, though, because he STILL feeds once at night and I heavily rely on that to calm him at night and also to signal bedtime. You’re right, it’s like having a trump card up your sleeve. I’m riding things out until 12 months, hopefully, and hoping to wean completely then. Mama needs her boobs back for a few months at least!

I'm sad that my 15 month old will probably wean during 1st trimester. I'm only 5 weeks in and I think I already have less milk.  I nursed my second until she was almost 3... I force weaned her because I was pregnant with #3 and puking.  Bleh.

  • UO: I’m drinking all the coffee. Can’t stop won’t stop decaf not going to do it. I’m heavily addicted to my 1-2 cups a day and I especially need it to live with my two year old!

@MandyMost thanks for having my caffeinated back

edit to add the other half of my post that didn’t post

I know it’s all good to definitely have a cup or two but it’s surprising how many women think they can’t or people in general who judge those who do! I need it to SURVIVE haha
  • @lumosmaxima I have always found drinking straight milk gross . . . Until I got pregnant last time. It was one of the first signs that something was definitely changing within me when DH asked me what I wanted to drink and I said milk and apple juice. So weird.

I'm another mom who's still nursing and I hope I don't have to quit anytime too soon. Besides not being emotionally ready for my baby girl to not need my body anymore, I am not ready to give up the magic fix anything spell that is booby!
