@meladams10 your body could do a million strange things. I'd say keep HIO every other day in the meantime! You'll O when your body feels like it. Have you considered temping? A lot of ladies find that super helpful.
@meladams10 Lurking from TWW. Is this your first month using OPKs? I always see a progression of the OPKs getting darker. When I'm days away from O they seem really light but I start to notice them getting darker as I get closer to O day. I also tape all of my opks to a piece of paper which helps me see the progression (see spoiler for example). I've been using easy @ home OPKs and like them. My suggestion is to keep testing, after holding it at least an hour and not with first morning urine. Noon-8pm is best. Also, check CM, that can be another good clue about where you are in your cycle.

C/S: Still had only the Estrogen rise on my CBAD, no LH rise, and that’s good as it means my follies are growing but my body is not gearing to ovulate on its own. Adding in the Ganirelix to prevent the LH surge tonight. I have literally bucket loads of EWCM yesterday and today. It’s crazy how much there is, it’s like my vag is a slime monster!
GTKY: What makes you the happiest? When DH smiles at me smiling at him and looks at me like I am the one and only most important thing in the whole world. Mushy I know, but turns me to jelly every time.
@meladams10 way to go starting the thread! I would say keep using the OPKs- you never know. But that’s why I don’t rely on OPKs alone - only with temps and CM tracking can I really be sure. Though in the last 12 months my CBAD has been spot on without fail (even in my IVF cycles weirdly!). I know some ladies use cheapies until they see them going much darker and then use more expensive OPKs just for a few days so they don’t miss it. Also experiment with several kinds at once - some ladies turn one brand but not another!

@emmasemm@meladams10 yeah, I use cheapies and when I see that it's positive I use an expensive test. A strong positive on my cheap tests always shows a positive on the expensive test.
@emmasemm Sorry you had an emotional day yesterday, but glad to hear that you are having a better one today. What movie did you watch? Yay for O'ing on your own and the EWCM! @kristah2 Right there with you on the feelings on AF. She can leave any time now. Love cute shoes! What kind are they? @meladams10 Definitely keep POAS. @nitnat007 So happy to hear you had a great holiday! My first 2 days back to work this week I was a mess and kept asking for documents I already had and couldn't seem to get my head on straight. Shoe spoiler: (not sure why its so big..)
Ya'll make me feel so much better! Thank ya'll so much!! I don't know what I'd do without this forum.
@kristah2 Yay for cute shoes! It's so fun when you've had something for a year or two and finally wear it for the first time! I think next cycle I will temp! @jaylii It is my first month using OPKs! I was going to keep my old ones and compare, but then I read that they are only good for reading up to an hour? So I threw them away! I think I'll use your suggestion and start testing between 12-8. @emmasemm I'm glad you got to enjoy dinner and a movie with your DH. It sounds like he is SO supportive and sweet!! What would we do without our DH?! I think I'll add temping next cycle, it sounds like it's beneficial. I couldn't believe how expensive OPKs were at the pharmacy! @meladams10 - sorry the OPK's are being such a mindf***. FWIW, I use the CBAD ones and I hate how expensive they are BUT I haven't had a problem turning them. Keep testing and HIO. You can also check your CM - gross, but it will tell you a lot. You can start that at any point. Some ladies use the tissue test, see what's on the tissue when you wipe. If you don't produce a lot or want to be really sure, you can go "fishing". It might help you feel more comfortable determining O to add in the CM. All about CF

@meladams10 The results on my pink dye easy@home OPK sticks don't change or go away. I have sheets of them from Nov/Dec that I was using for comparison this cycle.
@meladams10 This will be my first month using OPKs as well. I am planning to use an app my friend told me about called PreMom. You can take pictures of your tests and it lines them up so you can see the progression and not have to keep the pee sticks. I've only done a couple tests, but it's pretty easy to use so far! I'm not completely sure if it matters what brand you use with it. I bought the brand that goes with the app (internet cheapies called Easy@Home at @jaylii mentioned), but I doubt it matters.
@kristah2 Sorry AF is being a butthead, but those shoes are super adorable!

C/S: Nothing happening here. Not temping this cycle.
GTKY: What makes you the happiest? Snuggles with MH and my kitties. Good food. Time with family.
@darkstar42 Insurance covered a portion of it, but not as much as they should have. I'm really hoping that this appeals process is easier than it sounds.
@acciocoffee YES to buffalo sauce! We have an insane sauce problem at our house. A whole cupboard is just a variety of hot sauces. mmmm
I know most of you ladies temp. I was going to wait until 3 months of trying so I didn't feel like I was adding stress to TTGP. Buutt now I'm not sure. Opinions on whether or not I should just cave and buy a thermometer and start now?
@kristah2 - I really like temping, b/c I'm a type a control freak who wants to know everything. But it does add another level of stress (Did I temp before doing anything? Did I sleep late/wake up too early? Was my bedroom hotter than normal last night?) that only you can really judge. Will you get enough out of doing it to offset any potential stress?
Before TTC, I only temped to confirm O and then I stopped. Now I temp my whole cycle, except when AF is in town. She screws up my temps and we're mad at her continually crashing our party, so I skip her visits. Anyway, to me it's worth it, b/c with temping I know IF I O'd and when I O'd for sure. Before starting TTC, I really appreciated having that knowledge so I wouldn't waste time (I'm AMA) if I wasn't ovulating regularly OR had a super short luteal phase, I would have that documentation if I had an issue. Now I'm in the habit and I can easily confirm O, which for me makes this whole process easier to deal with. One less thing to be uncertain about.
R/R: I don't really have much to say today. I feel happy we figured out the housing situation. Stressed about the gap between the two houses closing but we have options. I'm also stressed about what my cycles are going to be like from here on out.
C/S: literally nothing to see.
GTKY: What makes you the happiest? My H and my fur babies. I really really love the little family we've built together. There is literally nothing in this world that makes me happier. Except traveling with said family lol
@kristah2 - I think were in similar months/cycles - I'm at 2/2, day 19. After 5 years on BCP, I wasn't sure what my body was going to do and using FF for tracking has helped me see how things are becoming normal. I started temping during cycle 2 because AF arrived almost a full week early the first month, which meant our timing that I thought was good was actually awful!! I will say, I think if you don't sleep well it might not help. I sleep awful during AF and then traveled for Christmas, so my temps were cray-cray the first week I temped. After that, it evened out. Definitely helps me feel more in control during WTO too!
@catlady2015 Thanks for the info! The tissue trick may be something I start to try! @acciocoffee Oh my goodness! The app sounds amazing. I just downloaded it! Yum to buffalo anything!! @galactickates SUCH cute pups! @kiwi2628 I'm jealous of your snow day!
@catlady2015 FX that you see a clear O this cycle. I hate that waiting game too. @nasah15 Sorry for AF. I know the feeling. It hit me hard this cycle too. @meladams10 The gym hurt! Teaching was very rough, not sure how stairs will be tomorrow lol. @darkstar42 We went down to New Hampshire to meet up with my sister and her family. We did almost a week of snowboarding. I spent a lot of time on my a$$. Lots of laughs and good times had by all. Hope you enjoyed the lazing on the couch today. How were the holidays? @galactickates Sorry for the stress friend. *hugs* Such cute pups! @kiwi2628 Enjoy the snow day!
