Hcg test progression

Hi all,

This is my third pregnancy and I am so worried about my hcg test progression. I've never had a mc or a chemical but I worry of the possibility. The tests are notgetting much darker. The top test is 10 dpo all the way down to today's at 15 dpo. Today's looks similar to 12 dpo in darkness. I'm used to my tests getting dark right away with my other pregnancies so I worry. I haven't gone in for bloodwork but wondering if it's even worth it? If my betas don't double what would they do anyways? Thanks in advance.

Well my last pregnancy my betas didn't double. I had to go every 48 hrs for blood work each week.and took progesterone. They rose, but never doubled. It ended in natural mc at 8 weeks. I don't know about the pregnancy tests. But maybe ask your ob.
I was told to keep getting betas checked as long as it kept raising or until it dropped.

I was also told low betas didn't mean unhealthy either.you can have a healthy pregnancy with low HCG. I was given 3 options. 10% chance of healthy pregnancy, Ectopic, or just not strong/healthy enough.

Those tests could all have a different amount of dye in them.

Questions about your hcg should go to your doctor not the Internet.

Also, it's against TOU to post pictures of pregnancy tests anywhere other than the one post on the first tri board.

I only want to add that these tests only have a certain threshold as well. So comparing darkness isn't going to tell you anything.

There are a lot of factors that could impact the darkness of a line on an HPT - dye in test, different hold times, different hydration levels - so I wouldn't assume you are having a CP or MC just based on line darkness, especially if you aren't having red bleedin g. Call your doctor tomorrow and see what they think.

For follow up, I wanted to let everyone know that this pregnancy turned out to be an (assumed) ectopic. I also had a chemical a few month after this. For me, Line darkness does indicate an issue but may not for others.

QFP. Not sure why you came back a month before EDD. I’m truly sorry for your loss.
However, line darkness still is not a proper indication based on reasons posted above.
