1. Our second beta came back amazing. What a relief! 2. My boss was out sick today so it's always a little more relaxed when she's not around. Love her tho, and hope she's feeling better!!! 3. My own cough/cold seems to have improved a little bit today... 4. Have my first appointment with the midwife booked! 5. We have access to first-class medical care for myself and baby both 6. After struggling so long to get pregnant, I feel a huge weight lifted, like I can finally rejoin the rest of humanity again. IF has not exactly been a happy chapter in our lives. 7. Lots of good, quality family visits over the holidays, especially with people we don't see too often. 8. My big dog is being ridiculously cute on the couch right now, and I just want to join him! 9. We got the heating oil tank refilled over the weekend. It's supposed to be a COLD week! 10. The loving and cozy home DH and I have built for ourselves, and will continue to build for our sweet babe. ❤
@businesswife I'm not normally a crier, but your #10 got me right in the feels. Tearing up here. (thanks pregnancy hormones)
1) We were given pretty slim odds of conceiving on our own, even with clomid so I'm still extremely thankful to be pregnant. 2) My cat is being extra cuddly. 3) I had nearly two weeks off of work. It's been nice to slow down. 4) The ability to work from home so much. That's been the real MVP this week with nausea. 5) All that said, I'm glad I get to see the little boy I watch part time tomorrow. He's adorable. 6) HelloFresh delivered some fabulous meals this week. Seriously, probably the only reason I cooked this week was because it was all pre-measured and laid out for me. 7) H wants a baby carrier. I love that he's thinking about how he'll care for the little one 8) My parents will be visiting a lot in the spring. 9) They're building a house in a nearby town. It'll be nice for them to be so close. 10) Our new insurance covers the birthing center we like best. Pretty excited about that one.
@SkilledSailor. That is so awesome about YH! Mine wants to try babywearing, too, although he seemed most excited about doing a backpack carry, and I had to explain to him that wouldn't be possible right out of the gate! Lol
1• I’m never good at coming up with 10 things, so here it goes. 2• I work as a x-ray tech and 99% of the time I’m in the OR. 3• MH works offshore in the oil & gas industry. He works 14 day on/off. 4• He was at the birth of our oldest DD and missed the birth of our youngest DD. 5• DD#1 was a medicated vaginal birth/DD #2 was and unmedicafed vaginal birth. I will forever have unmedicated births if possible. 6• We live in a 43’ 5th wheel camper and are looking to move into a house by May (FX) 7• Open enrollment for my employers insurance was the beginning of November and now I really wished I would have opted in on our insurance coverage...wahhhhh 8• I almost sold my Vienna Springs Ring Slings the week before I found out I was pregnant. So glad I didn’t. 9• I’m not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. I work 7 days on/off and today is my 7th day off. 10• Pretty sure I’m going to have to end up telling everyone at work about my pregnancy because there are a few limitations to my job
1. I was team green last time and I'll probably do that again but I also liked being team pink for the first 2. 2. I'm hoping to have my 3rd vbac so eventually vbac ladies, let's talk. 3. we have a great fire going. 4. I worked the last 5 nights and I'm hoping I can sleep tonight so I can flip back to days for my 7am start tomorrow. 5. 10 is a big number and it's hard to think of this many things. 6. I don't think I've ever participated in 10 things because thinking of 10 things is intimidating. 7. I'm still nursing my 15 month old. 8. It's cold AF here and I cannot wait for summer. 9. Then again, I had a Sept 2016 baby and I know soon enough it's going to be hot AF. 10. I need to move to Malibu. I heard it's temperate there.

1. My DH and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for 9 years. 2. DH and I work together and are both special needs professionals. 3. I’ve been off for 2.5 weeks and tomorrow’s my first day back - I’ve really enjoyed the time off. 4. We bought our first home 3 months ago so we’ve been doing a lot of painting and small home renovations. 5. With my first child we told everyone we were team green when really the whole time we knew we were actually team blue. 6. We will be dining out the gender this time and letting people know prior to the birth. 7. I was 10 days late with DS and had to be induced. 8. I live in a new state and am really sad to not have my OB. I’m hoping I like the new OB as much as I did my previous one. 9. Unlike other posters, my husband greatly dislikes babywearing because he thinks it looks dumb. He will on rare occasion but only on his back. 10. When DS was born, I didn’t change his diaper for the first 2 months because DH decided that was his role and changed every diaper.
Me (29) + DH (30) | Dating 2003 | Married 2008 DS - 02/21/2016
1. We've been so lucky to get pregnant first try twice. 2. DS is an avid nurser and is 19 months old. 3. I'm totally undecided on tandem nursing, but OK with tandem wearing. 4. Going for a vbac also. Never again will I have a c section that isn't necessary (I have no problem with surgical delivery with a valid reason!). 5. Hoping for a home birth-crossing fingers that I can find a midwife that will take me on. 6. I chose to be a bartender, rather than a "real" job, even though I have experience and am great with computers. 7. We just bought our house 3 months ago, the previous 2.5 years were spent living with relatives. We got married a little less than 2.5 years ago.... 8. I have a miniature dachshund that I think of as on other baby. 9. Last pregnancy I started prodromal labor at 31 weeks, but no one believed me or tried to stop it. Born at 35+4. 10. 10 things is really a lot. This might be easier if there was a theme. I plan to announce at about 7-8 weeks because I just got our New Year's cards ordered today. Might as well send photo and news with that. It'll be our 7 year dating anniversary then anyway.

@megnwingate I work in IR and I’m fortunately avoiding fluoro cases for now without any side eye but I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to spill the beans way sooner than I’m going to be comfortable with!
1. I have an amazing DH who is excited to have 2u2 and understands my trepidation. 2. I have a new fabulous job that allows me bankers hours, the ability to be home with my baby every night, and leave early on occasion. 3. I have amazing neighbors and live in a wonderful child-friendly neighborhood where my kids will be safe to play and have plenty of playmates! And lots of eventual babysitters! 4. I have a super efficient furnace when the temperatures are near 0. I realize what a luxury that actually is in this world. 5. I have an fabulous mom who comes and cleans my house once or twice a month (I pay her!) because life is crazy. When she finds out it’s mostly now because I’m carrying #2 and am exhausted she will be overjoyed. 6. I have a great mom and MIL who volunteer to watch DS while I work so we can avoid crazy daycare costs and we are beyond blessed. 7. I get to keep my amazing OB who has been with me through thick and thin because she hopped over to my network when my network started its “own” OB group. I’m so glad I didn’t have to start seeing someone I didn’t know. 8. I made a ham dinner last night, which sounds fancy, but really involves throwing a precooked ham and precooked potatoes in a hot oven. 9. I haven’t killed my Christmas cactus and poinsettia yet! 10. I have my first OB appointment on the 17th and as it approaches, this whole thing feels so much more real.
Im hoping this didn’t come off as a ten things humble brag! Just lots to be thankful for!
@pourmeamocktail Ten Things is usually like ten good things, ten things you are happy about, ten things to celebrate, like a Gratitude List. ;) if you consider that a theme lol
@Wishilivedinflorida. That is so great about your Christmas cactus and poinsettia! I am bummed, I think my orchid finally died. Luckily DH agreed it might be time to get a new one. ;)
@BusinessWife not all of them are silk. She makes chambray, linen, silk matka, and a few others. I love her brand. She’s a SAHM and does everything herself. There is a b/s/t/chat on FB and it is super helpful!

@Wishilivedinflorida I wish I could avoid fluoro cases. I came out today to the OR staff that I work with because I can’t be in the room when they mix cement. Almost had to come out to all my other coworkers when someone had to come replace me
@megnwingate That’s a bummer you had to tell people before you were ready. I’ve been sticking to CT and US cases (but mostly just go do patient consults in the hospital and run our clinic, so I can usually feign that I’m super swamped out in the hospital or clinic). I hope your coworkers who know are as discreet as possible with your news!

I realized that after I re-read yours! My last group’s TTT was just a list of 10 random thoughts. Whoops!
