Hyperemisis Support

i searched within this group and didn't see anything on this!

I was was diagnosed with HG this week. I had it with my previous two pregnancies as well, but I feel like this is he worst. Zofran is not even helping.

My biggest problem is staying hydrated. What do you drink or eat that helps hydrate you!? I have found pears & watermelon helpful.

Cooking is a huge issue. My husband (bless his heart) cannot cook. I am struggling it's creating healthy meals for my kids that he is able to cook that's not mac n cheese.  any meal tips from other HG mamas?

If if this is your first time with it, remember that it is temporary and the minute that sweet baby is in your arms you'd do it all over agin for them ❤️ You can do this!

Re: Hyperemisis Support

  • I have had terrible morning sickness with both of my first two pregnancies. My son, I threw up almost daily until delivery. With my daughter, I did start feeling better but it wasn’t until my third trimester. I took meds three times a day to keep the nausea at bay, and sometimes they didn’t help. I’m only about 5 weeks now, waiting for the shoe to drop.

I would say let the kids eat what your husband can cook; they won’t die. Quesadillas, veggies - hot dogs, veggies/fruit, breakfast for dinner, grilled cheese, spaghetti, English muffin pizzas, (plain pizza) chicken nuggets... it’s all about survival. Big hugs!!!!
