Inspired by our resolutions thread, what are you most excited for in 2018 (other than baby)? A season change? A vacation? A movie release? A show premiere?
ditto on the time away from work. Birthday trip/ vacation next month. Helping my best friend plan her wedding (we've BEEN planning for like a year, but now its official).
Getting our house furnished and decorated the way we’d like. We bought it at the end of July but had to wait until this year to have the extra cash for all those big purchases. My sister made it seem like they are going to stay TTC after their marathon in March. It makes me excited to think our kids won’t be too far apart in age.
We are going to Paris in 3 weeks. Hopefully doing a short babymoon in Germany. And going to see the Harry Potter play in London and September. Going to be a busy year

Aside from baby it's getting our new house organized (moved in just before Christmas) and getting our old one market ready and (hopefully) sold quickly.
First Son - born 2013
Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). First open heart surgery at 5 days old. He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing. Third Son - due June 9, 2018
Really the warmer weather in general. I typically work 2nd shift anyways and miss having my coffee out on the patio and relaxing outside before going in at 1130 and getting ready for work. I'm sure this summer will be less relaxed but still looking forward to time outside. Chicago had a pretty decent summer last year and hoping this is the same because I also don't like 90 and humid. Ew.
- Getting our house organized and getting on top of things - My husband has been working on a workbench in our basement for what feels like forever! - painting our bedroom and the nursery {I like the colour, so it'll be the same} - seeing my bff for our yearly visit lol! - directly baby related, but we find out gender next Monday!
I have two really close friends who are planning to buy/rent houses in my neighborhood this year. One has a 2-year-old and is also currently pregnant, and my heart is exploding at the thought of our kids attending the same schools and really growing up together.

Not returning to work after the summer. I love my job, but I’m excited to take a year (at least) off to be with the babes. I’m also nervous. But mostly excited.
I’m excited for weather that’s not -36 degrees and for continuing to renovate our fixer upper! We plan on getting our kitchen and mud room redone before baby arrives, and I can’t wait to start that design process!
-warmer weather. - 16 solid weeks off from work to enjoy said weather. -taking our family to Florida at some point this year, that's our 12 year olds travel request this year. Thinking maybe road trip in August before school starts back up.
Baby-related, but does being excited that our EDD is in the summer count? After taking 1.5 hrs to drive 30 miles home today, I'm happy that I don't have to drive to the hospital in the middle of winter...
@izza2 yes! I had a DS in winter right at the peak of flu season. Bringing home a NICU baby, I was so scared about RSV and flu and anything else that I was terrified to leave the house with him. I kept him in his car seat and covered up for such a long time and getting him out of the car seat in public freaked me out. Fortunately he never caught anything.
I’m hoping to be less of a crazy pants this summer with this one.
I'm also excited for a spring baby. DS1 was born in May and it was nice that he could have a flu shot his first winter (they don't do them until 6 months old). DS2 was a September baby and since he already had health issues I was terrified to leave the house with him until spring.
