Is anyone in the wedding industry or have a similar job? I’m a wedding photographer and am wondering how/when you will tell your clients you are pregnant? How long do you think you’ll be able to work especially if your on your feet for 8-9hours in a day with limited breaks. This is my first, so I have no idea how I will be feeling during my last month!
Re: Planning around your career
I took off work a week before DS was born, but only because I could (I had six weeks maternity leave and could start it a week before my due date. It was the end of the school year, anyway, so I took the time). I could have worked until delivery, but being on my feet all day would have been rough. I had a lot of BH and needed frequent breaks for those to chill out.
Knottielotsofnumbers, have you searched this in the Rising Tide FB group? The photographers in there have a lot of good suggestions about it. Basically most of them say train up a second you can rely on, be honest with clients you'll have in the eighth and ninth month, always have a back-up photographer in mind.
I have a doctors appt Jan 9. I might talk to them about it too.
Thanks everyone!
Also ive changed my username but it’s still showing up as this knottie one. Anyone know why?

As far as when to go back - I think she went back about a month after, but of course, that's totally up to you and when you think you can afford to do. You could always start slow and then book more for later months. The good news is (well, I guess depending on where you live) that most of the "busy" wedding season will be behind you once you hit your due date, right?
