R/R: Rant: I'm experiencing pain in my heel. MH has dealt with plantar fasciitis and thinks I have similar symptoms. Ugh, just annoyed by this especially since I've been trying to be more active, get to the gym etc...
C/S: I think my hormones are taking a break this month. CD 15 and no sign of O happening with OPKs. This is weird for my body, but maybe with all the stress and sugar this month it's just delayed?
GTKY: What are your New Years Eve plans? Staying in? Going out? Going to a party at friends' house. It's a pretty tame event, but we'll spend the night there so we don't have to drive home on icy roads at midnight.
R/R: I really wanted to post
something positive today because I’ve been on a depressive streak lately… but I
guess when it rains it pours.
*TW traumatic accident
mentioned
MH’s aunt, who’s only in her 30s, was in a head on collision yesterday. It was snowing and a truck lost control and came into her lane. The driver of the other vehicle died. She had to be cut out of her truck and was air lifted to the cities. She has a brain bleed, broken jaw, lost some teeth, back is broken in two places, and broke both her legs. They did surgery on her legs first, they thought she might lose one of them. And now they’re just waiting for her to stabilize. They think she’s going to pull through. But she has many more surgeries and a long road of recovery ahead.
It really
puts everything into perspective for me.
When life can be taken from you in an instant why worry about stupid
things.
C/S: no
GTKY: What are your New Years Eve plans? Staying in?
Going out? We haven’t
made any plans yet so we’ll probably end up staying in.

@jaylii I hope your pain gets better! It's hard enough getting to the gym! @LJMoon6 I hope things get better for you. GTKY: What are your New Years Eve plans? Staying in? Going out? Staying in! Expensive covers and expensive Uber rides home aren't appealing. Also, I'm not sure I want to think about squeezing into any type of dress after all the holiday goodies.
@jaylii Sorry about your heel. That is always the worst when you are trying to be active and something sets you back/benches you. fx you heal quickly. @LJMoon6 I am so sorry to hear about YH aunt. That is truly so frightening that things can change in a second. I hope she pulls through and fights hard during her recovery. @Stargazer1lily Im glad doggy came back. I had a dog growing up that would get out and wouldnt come back for anything, even treats. I'm surprised he never got hit by a car with how quick and darty he was.

R/R: good morning lovelies. My presence is still a bit spotty here, getting used to the new commute and still settling into the house. Rave: got a very positive OPK this morning after the lines staying “almost positive but not quite” for three days in a row, and bought preseed last night so I’m excited for today’s BD, hah! One funny thing I wanted to share with you guys is that I told DH that the rule of thumb is to HIO EOD, and he’s just went: “WHY wouldn’t it just be every day?!” He was genuinely baffled, lol! What IS the logic behind that anyway? Is it potentially worse to BD everyday?
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: We are hosting our group of friends at the new house board games and drinks I bought a game I tried at a birthday party recently, called ‘Say Anything’ - it’s SO funny, you guys have to try it
@jaylii sorry for your heel pain, take it slow, do arms at the gym. I’m proud of you for even going to the gym! And it is very possible your O might be delayed because of holiday stress.
@LJMoon6 I am SO sorry to hear about the accident! Goodness, that is horrible. But thank the stars she is alive. Sending you and your family strength!
R/R: Friday! But I'm working tomorrow so I don't have to use PTO for the day after Christmas. So mixed feelings about that here at the catlady house.
C/S: nothing, thanks again to those who chimed in yesterday on my b6 question!
GTKY: What are your New Years Eve plans? Staying in? Going out? NYE plans are to stay in. DH and I never make a big deal out of it. We might drink a glass of wine, but that'll be the extent of it.
@jaylii - annoying! Hope it's not actually plantar fasciitis and just maybe your insoles are worn out? Stress might have delayed your O, hope that's it! @LJMoon6 - so glad YH's aunt survived! what a horrible thing. Thinking of your family and hope she makes a full recovery. @Stargazer1lily - thank heavens for treats! my girls come running when they hear the kitty treat bag - i have to use it to coax them out when they are "hiding". @kobrien827 - happy birthday! hope your package shows today! @meladams10 - anything you wear will be cute. enjoy your evening in! @leafyarch - how's the new house? I think the EOD rule of thumb is a little two-fold. it can be less "tiresome" to do it EOD (so TTC sex doesn't become a chore). Also there's some conflicting opinions on this, but sperm count may or may not figure into it. EOD would give YH some time to build up his sperm count again, so you get more sperm per ejaculation. If YH has a really high sperm count, then ED (if you guys are up to it) wouldn't affect his counts, but if it's a little lower, you might have more success doing EOD. But you won't know this unless he has a semen analysis (SA) done.
@leafyarch Your husband is just like mine, wondering why it's not everyday!! Men! My H and I just started trying so last month we did everyday during my fertile window and since that didn't work, we're going to trying EOD this month. Have fun during your night in! Board games are so fun! I haven't heard of Say Anything. May need to try it!
WAYDTGKU: monitoring CM, OPKs, HIO every other day in fertile window

@Jaylee I hope your heel feels better! @LJMoon6 how terrible! Prayers that she makes a healthy recovery @Stargazer1lily glad you got the dog @leafyarch I heard that the EOD thing is because it's best for sperm to build up before HIO. Mine asked the same thing! For us, it's because we have a hard time getting a chance every day, especially with our current living situation. @catlady2015 we never do much for NYE either. I'll probably have some wine but that's about it.

Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return
R/R: Just had my baseline u/s for this cycle. I find going to the RE's office depressing. Partly it's just depressing to have to go, and partly nothing feels particularly personalized there, even with my new RE. I just see nurses and u/s techs, and they're all friendly, but it's a different person nearly every time. Sigh. On the plus side, there's an awesome bookstore next to the clinic, and I got a couple new books that look great.

@meladams10 I'm also bored at work today!
@kobrien827 Happy belated birthday!
@leafyarch Congrats on the new house! Have fun hosting New Years Eve!
@catlady2015 I'm working 4 hours on Sunday. It's my normally scheduled weekend rotation and I could take it off but I know they'd struggle to fill it because of the holiday.
@kiwi2628 FX crossed for you for the upcoming IVF cycle!
@emmawantsababy Sorry about AF showing up.
@emmasemm FX for IVF. Really hoping this is it for you and YH. Also what a fun New years Eve 2016. Happy early Anniversary!

It's been a pretty terrible year for a lot of us. @emmasemm happy anniversary! @LJMoon6 I'm so very sorry to hear about YH's aunt. I hope she recovers fully from it. Please keep us posted.
@emmasemm Your NYE wedding sounds amazing! We were

WAYDTGKU: medicated IUI cycle #3 + other stuff
R/R: Just had my baseline u/s for this cycle. I find going to the RE's office depressing. Partly it's just depressing to have to go, and partly nothing feels particularly personalized there, even with my new RE. I just see nurses and u/s techs, and they're all friendly, but it's a different person nearly every time. Sigh. On the plus side, there's an awesome bookstore next to the clinic, and I got a couple new books that look great.
C/S: Nothing to see.
GTKY: What are your New Years Eve plans? Staying in? Going out? Probably staying in. Possibly lighting a fire in our back yard fire pit for a symbolic "F*** You 2017 " ceremony.
@stargazerlily407 Glad you caught the dog! We didn't realize our gate was open a couple of winters ago and our dog wandered off. Luckily we found her pretty quickly, but it was worrisome that it happened on a cold winter night!
@meladams10 I'm also bored at work today! @kobrien827 Happy belated birthday!
@darkstar42 Can I pretty please join you at your f*** you 2017 ceremony? I think you'd have a large crowd if some of the TTGPers could join you. It's been a pretty terrible year for a lot of us.
@emmasemm happy anniversary!
@LJMoon6 I'm so very sorry to hear about YH's aunt. I hope she recovers fully from it. Please keep us posted.

@jaylii Hope the heel pain clears up quickly!
@LJMoon6 I’m so sorry to hear about YH’s aunt! That’s so scary. I hope she recovers fully.
@Stargazer1lily Glad the dog was relatively easy to catch! It’s always stressful to try to catch escaped pets.
@meladams10 Any fun plans for the long weekend?
@kobrien827 Hope you have a blast this weekend!
@leafyarch Yay for the positive opk!
@catlady2015 Sorry you’re working tomorrow, but hopefully your day goes by quickly!
@kiwi2628 So excited for you to start stims! Fx all goes well.
@emmawantsababy Sorry for cd 1.
@emmasemm Your NYE wedding sounds amazing! We were honeymooning in Iceland last year for NYE. Not nearly so exciting this year!
@offtoneverland You would be more than welcome to join us! This year really has been rough. I’m trying to think of what we should burn to symbolize all the crap we’ve dealt with this year.
