R/R: Rant: I'm experiencing pain in my heel. MH has dealt with plantar fasciitis and thinks I have similar symptoms. Ugh, just annoyed by this especially since I've been trying to be more active, get to the gym etc...
C/S: I think my hormones are taking a break this month. CD 15 and no sign of O happening with OPKs. This is weird for my body, but maybe with all the stress and sugar this month it's just delayed?
GTKY: What are your New Years Eve plans? Staying in? Going out? Going to a party at friends' house. It's a pretty tame event, but we'll spend the night there so we don't have to drive home on icy roads at midnight.

@LJMoon6 I am so sorry to hear about YH aunt. That is truly so frightening that things can change in a second. I hope she pulls through and fights hard during her recovery.
@Stargazer1lily Im glad doggy came back. I had a dog growing up that would get out and wouldnt come back for anything, even treats. I'm surprised he never got hit by a car with how quick and darty he was.

R/R: good morning lovelies. My presence is still a bit spotty here, getting used to the new commute and still settling into the house. Rave: got a very positive OPK this morning after the lines staying “almost positive but not quite” for three days in a row, and bought preseed last night so I’m excited for today’s BD, hah! One funny thing I wanted to share with you guys is that I told DH that the rule of thumb is to HIO EOD, and he’s just went: “WHY wouldn’t it just be every day?!” He was genuinely baffled, lol! What IS the logic behind that anyway? Is it potentially worse to BD everyday?

@jaylii sorry for your heel pain, take it slow, do arms at the gym. I’m proud of you for even going to the gym! And it is very possible your O might be delayed because of holiday stress.

R/R: Friday! But I'm working tomorrow so I don't have to use PTO for the day after Christmas. So mixed feelings about that here at the catlady house.

GTKY: What are your New Years Eve plans? Staying in? Going out? NYE plans are to stay in. DH and I never make a big deal out of it. We might drink a glass of wine, but that'll be the extent of it.
@jaylii - annoying! Hope it's not actually plantar fasciitis and just maybe your insoles are worn out? Stress might have delayed your O, hope that's it!
@LJMoon6 - so glad YH's aunt survived! what a horrible thing. Thinking of your family and hope she makes a full recovery.
@Stargazer1lily - thank heavens for treats! my girls come running when they hear the kitty treat bag - i have to use it to coax them out when they are "hiding".

@leafyarch - how's the new house? I think the EOD rule of thumb is a little two-fold. it can be less "tiresome" to do it EOD (so TTC sex doesn't become a chore). Also there's some conflicting opinions on this, but sperm count may or may not figure into it. EOD would give YH some time to build up his sperm count again, so you get more sperm per ejaculation. If YH has a really high sperm count, then ED (if you guys are up to it) wouldn't affect his counts, but if it's a little lower, you might have more success doing EOD. But you won't know this unless he has a semen analysis (SA) done.

@leafyarch I heard that the EOD thing is because it's best for sperm to build up before HIO. Mine asked the same thing! For us, it's because we have a hard time getting a chance every day, especially with our current living situation.

Well we can’t beat last new year - in the evening we got married then had dinner at the top of the hotel and watched the fireworks all along the Vegas strip from there... and then went to bed
So this year we are staying home, cooking a four course meal together, watching a movie we have saved especially and then joining our neighbors for fireworks in the street.

@leafyarch I don’t need to add much as @catlady2015 gave you the perfect answer already! We had DH SA tested for 1, 2 and 3 day gaps and it made no difference to his sample (we have been trying almost 3 years so we’re inventing new tests... ;-)), so we aim for EOD but if DH is feeling frisky (or forgets it was yesterday we last HIO hehe) then we do ED for a few days.

@ljmoon6 oh no. That sounds like a terrible accident. I hope she stabilizes. Having had multiple orthopedic surgeries myself, she has a really tough few years ahead by the sound of it. That must be three bad things this week? Fx you have good news around the corner

R/R: Just had my baseline u/s for this cycle. I find going to the RE's office depressing. Partly it's just depressing to have to go, and partly nothing feels particularly personalized there, even with my new RE. I just see nurses and u/s techs, and they're all friendly, but it's a different person nearly every time. Sigh. On the plus side, there's an awesome bookstore next to the clinic, and I got a couple new books that look great.

@stargazerlily407 Glad you caught the dog! We didn't realize our gate was open a couple of winters ago and our dog wandered off. Luckily we found her pretty quickly, but it was worrisome that it happened on a cold winter night!
