Doctor ordered blood work

My doctors office wants to some blood work testing on me and the gummy bear....they asked me to call and get confirmation, however the insurance company won't give a yes or no answer it the tests are covered. Did anyone experience this?

  • This could have gone on your other Blood work post, or on the weekly questions thread. Please try to not start a new thread for each question.

    QFP

  • So totally unrelated, but when I first started bumping in 2013, I thought QFP meant quit fucking posting.
Sometimes that meaning is even more apt tbh

How does it matter whether or not it happened to someone else? At the end of the day, your insurance will either cover it (yay!) or they won't and you'll have to decide whether or not you want to pay out of pocket. This feels sort of troll-y given your last question...please go read the Board Guidelines. FWIW before my Doc ordered blood work I rang my insurance to see if they'd cover it if my doc didn't order it. They took almost a week to get back to me. But we probably have completely differently insurance so who knows.

  • I know, but 4 years ago, the first time I saw it, I had no clue.
  • I always read it as ‘quoting for proof’ but posterity makes more sense
