  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 20 weeks; May 16; apple pie

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?  I feel better. I get dizzy at times and my belly always feels uncomfortable but at least the nausea and extreme fatigue is gone.

Any upcoming appointments? Just had my AS and I'm a little nervous about my upcoming glucose test.

GTKY:  What is your favorite holiday tradition? one is my family's turkey which we have on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The other is we have three Christmas celebrations. One with my side of the family in Florida on Christmas Eve where we open presents at midnight, then Christmas morning opening presents with my sister's kids and her family, then coming back home and celebrating with my SO's family on New year's Eve.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?  Ugh I told myself I'd be productive over Christmas break - so far that's a lie :# I have been feeling pretty good, just tired.

Any upcoming appointments? AS is next week!! I can't wait! I haven't seen him since 8 weeks! I also think I'm going to set up a scan at an elective place in town so I can take my boys to see him.

GTKY:  What is your favorite holiday tradition?  Christmas Eve we get new pjs and we have a huge yummy breakfast on Christmas morning :)
  • @jenbabymama what week is the glucose test?  I totally don't recall from last time.

  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 19 weeks 5 days  due May 18 baby is 11 oz

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? We had our anatomy scan last night and I caved and let the tech tell us what we're having...a girl!!! I'm so fricking excited to have one of each and it's just really cool to know and call baby by name.

    Any upcoming appointments?
Had a good OB appointment this week and anatomy scan...I'm getting tired of appointments!
GTKY:  What is your favorite holiday tradition? We play white elephant Bingo which is always fun, with silly gag gifts and just lots of laughs. And my sister and I make Christmas crackers (the decorated tubes filled with candy and toys and paper hats that are popular in England) and those are always fun to open during dinner.
  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO? 20+2, EDD 5/14, a banana

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? I’ve been off work since December 21 and don’t go back until January 4! I’ve been binging on old episodes of ER and doing things around the house.

Any upcoming appointments? regular OB appointment next week. A/S results were normal!

GTKY:  What is your favorite holiday tradition? I just like being with family.  :)

  • @poppy0419 - I am so glad to hear that you are doing better! I hope the rest of your pregnancy is the most boring one ever!!!
as for the cookies...I say bake them this week! I have sugar cookie dough that I never got around to baking Monday and tomorrow is looking good to me :)
  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
Due Date is 5/13, so 20weeks 3 days.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
It's a slow week although I'm trying to get DS back into his schedule. Naps were all he was doing for the first half of Christmas weekend (fever of 102 on and off) then the rest was so busy he had a serious case of fomo.

    Any upcoming appointments?
AS next Tuesday :) I can't wait any longer. I feel like I'm getting it done so much later than the rest of our week. I'm just ready to find out boy or girl (super wanting another boy)

GTKY:  What is your favorite holiday tradition? I enjoy what my family does every year for Christmas. We drive down to another little town, and look at their Christmas lights they put out along the river. It was a tradition with my dad while he was growing up, I did it too and now we share it with DS.
  • @bwow615 yes, 24-28 weeks. I'm getting it at 24 weeks.
@curleemama32 congratulations on your girl! I'm also super excited about having a girl.
    @BertieMeetsGertie enjoy your time off!
@Poppy0419 glad you are feeling better. Are you taking probiotics? I always take probiotics but I think it's especially important if you mess with your gut Flora, such as when you take antibiotics. Also, yes, it's always the perfect time for sugar cookies. I didn't get to go to my sister's house this year but I'm dying to start that tradition with them. She's not a baker but I think once she sees how easy it is and fun for the kids to decorate, I think she'll like it.
@jmaxx23 your poor DS! This is the worst time to be sick.
  • @jenbabymama I am! I’m taking a probiotic and then natural supplements to help move chemicals out of my kidneys and liver. I loved decorating as a kid! It was so fun. I hope your sister loves it! I get a little serious with my decorating  :D but I also do cookies and cakes on the side.
  • Appointments: I had my a/s on Tuesday. Love the technician and they have a super awesome machine. Got to see a lot and this little boy is looking healthy. My next ob appt is Jan 2.

Rant: the nurse at the ob's office called today to tell me that there was a mistake and they lab ran the be wrong tests on the blood they drew on December 4th. So i have to go in tomorrow so they can take another sample and hope they can still detect what they need to. (It's the test to check for protein in the blood) I'm annoyed it took so long for them to realize it. Also, DH had a training tomorrow so I'll have to take both girls along. Ugh!

Otherwise, i have slightly more energy this week ,(could just be vacation) and being is starting big time.

DD1 started a new tradition this year for Hanukkah. We dance after we light candles. I love it.
  • @nanifrog wow, that is a long time to realize a mistake. I hope this draw is correct!

  • How far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
19 weeks, banana due on 5/17

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Really tired. Being home with my kids is more tiring than working for sure. My hips have been hurting a lot this week and my legs sore like I went for a long run that I definitely have not done!

    Any upcoming appointments?
    A/S is tomorrow! Excited/nervous.

GTKY:  What is your favorite holiday tradition? I like the meal we make for xmas eve- prime rib! Otherwise spending time with my family on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve is DHs family and it's always...interesting...

TRUTH!!! I told my DH I would gladly go to work for him today, sit at his computer and look busy while he stays home with them for a day.

Sorry ladies. I know I’ve peaced out of this board for the last 6 weeks and become a lurker but I’m going to try to be a little more active! So glad your pregnancies are going well!

ow far along are you? When is your due date? What's the size of your LO?
due 5/16 so Baby is the size of a banana! Spent a long time at the store looking at all the different sizes bananas are...I like the apple pie one!

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves?
Hosting a 1920s murder mystery on NYE and I’m so excited! No energy to clean the house but we have a bunch of friends coming into town for it so I’m really excited.

    Any upcoming appointments?
Oh lots. I posted at the end of October about how my platelet counts were low and that’s led us down some scary paths (the primary reason I haven’t been posting-it’s been hard to see so many healthy pregnancies even though I’m happy for all of you). I’ve seen more doctors in the past few weeks than I ever have in my life. BUT I have a confirmed Lupus diagnosis now that they’re treating me for and hopefully I’ll start feeling better-not just in pregnancy but in the rest of life too! It makes so many things make sense.

Anyway, I just met with my regular OB for our A/S (it’s a girl and she looks healthy!-huge relief since Lupus can cause terrifying complications) and I have my first appointment with my high risk doctor in a few days to make a plan for the rest of pregnancy.  And a platelet draw with an Immunologist next week. So many appointments but I’m trying to think of it as having more people looking out for me and baby girl!

GTKY:  What is your favorite holiday tradition?
I love the holidays!! I think Christmas morning. We still go to my family as my youngest brother is in a high School and want him to have the same kind of memories. Cinnamon rolls, pajamas, and presents to each other!

  • @allie0320 I'm sorry you've been going through all this. It does sound scary and overwhelming and i totally understand the difficulty around participating in the board during that. I hope you get lots of good news.
  • @allie0320 im just taking culturelle. I have no clue the cost of it because my stepdad brought some too me though. When I finish it I’m definitely looking into the best one.
  • @allie0320 Gosh, I’m sorry you’re dealing with all of that. It’s better to know so that you can be treated. FX you have no complications!

  • Well, I no longer have my AS for tuesday. They just called to tell me the tech wouldn't be in that day. Little last minute in my opinion when it was scheduled a month ago and were going into a three day weekend. DH requested Tuesday off of work too, and now it's shorter notice to get the next date off. But it's now scheduled for the 9th, and by that time I'll be 22weeks. Color me frustrated :(
  • Thanks for all the support ladies!

@jmaxx23 that is so frustrating!! Any way you can argue to get it earlier? Pregnancy is all about patience and I’m learning I don’t have as much of that as I thought...

  • @allie0320 Sadly no. I live in Indianapolis so even getting a normal appointment is annoying, and I'm sure fitting in somewhere else within the week my office is making me wait would be useless. What's worse is that my doc didn't do genetic testing, and I never got an early ultrasound either. He wasnt concerned with anything since DS was a no issue pregnancy. So it's just frustrating.
  • @jmaxx23 that's so frustrating! I can't believe they can't find another tech for goodness sakes!
  • @jmaxx23 wow, that’s super frustrating! I’d be pissed!
