@sparklingdiamond That's so frustrating you've had a similar experience. I've always had great experiences with Etsy so this is kinda strange. I have to believe they ghosted because they were personalized stockings, and I'm not sure anyone embroidering these wouldn't have seen such a glaring mistake. Lesson learned to always check reviews and pay a little extra I guess.
@dan0081 that sucks! Etsy will probably still help you dispute the issue though! Maybe... lol Did you pay through paypal? If so, paypal definitely will fight the battle for you and refund your money if the seller has completely ghosted.

This could fall in my weekly low lights butttttt Didn’t get through my bi-annual Derm check with them biopsying something. One of these days I’ll have a boring appt!!
You guys.. I had to share this because it's such a mess. So I just received these three embroidered stockings I was going to give to my DH for Christmas. I ordered them November 29th through Etsy, and they should have arrived awhile ago but whatever.. it's a busy time of year so I wasn't too worried. I was so excited when they came today, but if you look at the "Dad" stocking.. there is a big mistake. I sent a note to the store, but when I look up the store it says "the member does not exist". I'm pretty sure I got screwed on that one.. We will see if they even respond. It looks like you can open a case with Etsy if you don't hear back, but it may not be worth the time. Oh well.. there were fairly cheap at least.
I bet you could find someone locally to pop the red off and sew it on right side up!
@dan0081 that sucks! I seriously kept staring at it trying to figure out what was wrong...like I saw the letters, but I was like, is that supposed to say papa? What are those letters? Then after @riversdoctor 's comment, I realized it was Dad upside down, lol. I had an issue on Etsy once where I ordered Blues Clues shaped crayons for DS's 2nd birthday party months early, and she never made or sent them. I forgot what all happened, but I ended up getting my money back (can't remember if it was through Etsy or paypal), and then her store was no longer there.
One of our local news stations just had a quick segment showing clips of kids meeting Santa. There was a little girl, probably 3 or 4 years old in a cute little plaid dress, literally RUNNING to him because she was so excited. I’m legit bawling. F*cking hormones. I’M NOT GONNA MAKE IT Y’ALL
Quick update from a post a few weeks ago. I accepted the new job and started yesterday at 24 weeks. Unfortunately my boss was out with the stomach flu (well, fortunately wasn't infecting the rest of us), so I wasn't able to talk to her about maternity leave. Nonetheleas, I told HR and found a generous 12 week parental leave policy (unpaid, but that's ok) not tied to FMLA eligibility, with a return to your position clause, so I think it'll all work out. Already tired of people staring at my belly though. Lol! Nobody asked, but I can only imagine what they are thinking!!
Lol @ladythrice!!! I just painted my girls toes so i can sit down for 15 mins. I am so winded today.
And on that note, does anyone's belly feel like it's crushing their rib cage?? It's just so...high. If I'm not arching my back i am so uncomfortable. I didn't experience this w my girls.
Total nightmare today... my H and I decided to take my inlaws for a short hike to get out of the house. We went to some local nature trails that had a 1.5 mile loop. Well the tail ended up being very poorly marked and it turned into a 6.5 mile hike that eventually put us out onto a super busy road over a mile from our car. My husband ended up running back to the car himself and came to pick us up. Needless to say I’m completely pooped!
@JJMNO1616 holy hell. Good work out, but that stinks!
Yeh 6.5 miles may not sound that bad to some people but it’s more exercise then I have done this entire pregnancy combined. Not to mention my poor inlaws are in their mid 60’s and didn’t even have the best shoes on to be hiking in the first place.

@JJMNO1616 uhhh yeah, 6.5 miles would break me right now. I hope you guys are ordering takeout tonight!
@kmalls Ugh no, I still cooked but did chilli so at least it was easy.
@g_amoss Things are going really well! No complaints so far about them haha. They actually bought us our crib today which was really exciting! The only furniture we need for the nursery is the glider now.
I must be pregnant. I brought a pillsbury buffalo chicken ring appetizer to the party we went to tonight. Got home only to realize the cans weren’t chicken that we used. But actually tuna. How did no one say anything!?
@ekendall09 I'm feeling that! I made sugar cookies today with my cousin and was literally seconds from scooping the batter onto the pan when she said "Um...do you want to add the dry ingredients to that??"
I'd only creamed the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla... Forgot to add the flour, baking soda ect. Would have tried to bake some if she hadn't been there!
Happy Christmas Eve day, everyone! We’re heading to my parent’s house for the big extended family Christmas gathering at noon. Thankfully they’re only 10 minutes away because we had some nasty weather yesterday/last night and everything is completely covered in ice. Like, trees, our lawn, all the roads — totally encased in ice. Pretty, but I’m definitely gonna fall
Wanted to say Merry Christmas (eve) to all you ladies! I've been so busy the past week or so I've only popped in a few times and this is probably my only chance until after Christmas. I hope you all have a wonderful time with whatever you do and eat all the food!
@kmalls be careful!! I took a tumble last night in our driveway. Like, belly first. On-call doc says I’m fine (no pain, no bleeding, normal fetal movement) but DH was Soooo freaked out. I am just sitting here cringing about the stupid step I made that caused me to fall. This ice storm was no joke! Hope you have a lovely ice-free Xmas eve!!!
@frenchiekinplusone oh no!! I’m glad you and baby are ok! That is so scary. I did that when pregnant with DS (remember that awful 2015 winter when we got a blizzard every single week?) I slipped on black ice and went flying down our back steps. It’s so awful!
@kmalls thank you, I’m very relieved that everything seems to be fine! Still wish I could just have a u/s on demand to be sure, haha. YES I could not forget about that winter. That is so scary!! I’m assuming everything was ok with you and your LO? The doc told me the human body has evolved to withstand falls like this which made me feel better but still. Ugh I hope this is my one and only this winter... I hate that it’s just getting started. DH was like... can you just, like, not walk anymore please? Lol
@frenchiekinplusone lol, my husband was the same. He saw me fall and was totally horrified. Everything ended up fine, I was a bit further along than we are now (I think like 32ish weeks) so they had me to go L&D for an evaluation, but yeah, they basically told me the same thing — babies are pretty safe in there!
Merry Christmas eve everyone! We hosted MH's family last night im glad today we get to sit and relax some before we go to my parents tomorrow. DD is very much into Christmas this year so it's exciting to see her excitement. Hope everyone has a good day today and tomorrow.
Merry Christmas everyone! We just got back from traveling last night so DD could wake up in her own bed for Christmas. Can't wait to catch up with everyone later. Hopefully you all have a lovely time spending today with family and friends!
