I need to complain so badly right now. My FIL is in town for a few days and he's driving me insane. He waltzes in here after not seeing DS for over a month and acts like he knows more about the kid than I do. Don't argue with me about his needs. He also keeps correcting me with how I talk to him. He apparently thinks he knows better word choices. However, my kid is 18 months and I know what words he responds to. Also, why do you think it's okay to openly disagree with me in front of the child? I'm the parent, you aren't, so what I say goes. Ugh! Also DH and I were correcting DS at lunch for throwing food on the floor, and FIL just had to throw his 2 cents in. I'm perfectly okay with people correcting my kid when he needs it and I'm not there to do it, but when both of the parents have addressed the issue there is absolutely no reason for you to say anyrhing at all. My last complaint is minor and silly, but if he calls him "my boy" one more time I'm going to lose it. He's not yours. Ahhh. Sorry for the dear diary post, but I need to get this out if I'm going to survive the next 24 hours without committing a felony.
So I got super jealous when I found out my neighbor was in labor this morning...she was almost 39 weeks I'm almost 35 weeks so clearly she needed to be in labor and I do not but whatever I'm over pregnancy.
Turns out labor went extremely fast and the hospital was super busy and she had LO in the hallway before they could even get her to a room or give her drugs...yikes! No longer jealous... Also everyone is A-OK and healthy and happy! And he's adorable!
@maueraa07 that is so annnoying! Vent away! I hope it gets better. Can DH say something his dad?
@conineml that sounds horrible for your neighbor, talk about being exposed and lack of privacy. I would be so upset giving birth in a hallway. I'd rather they wheel me into a closet.
I'm so over work today....but aren't we all. It's potentially my last day but I'm going to come in for 3 days next week if she hasn't come yet. I really thought she would be here by now since I'm a FTM and started dilating and effacing at 35 weeks. My doctor said it was very unusual for a FTM but that I could still past my due date. 1.5 hrs left to today.
Also, my weight has really jumped up the last two weeks. I haven't been eating as healthy as I did during most of my pregnancy. Still getting my veggies but more pastas, chips, and eating out.
