For my home: I would say a mix of rustic, vintage, farmhouse and modern. If that makes any sense... I've sort of got the gist of it upstairs but downstairs is a project.
For my style: Classic and chic. I would say right now I am more in the basics and plain style and I would like to jazz it up with some timeless fashionable pieces. Which reminds me I need to start investing in good quality pieces that will last but I guess pregnancy is not the time to do that.
For anyone else who follows beauty/fashion/lifestyle YouTubers, I love anything that MakeupbyTiffanyD or Alexandra Garza wear.

I desperately want a giant, white kitchen with a huuuuge island with NOTHING ON THE ISLAND (no stove, no sink, etc.), and I want to live that indoor/outdoor life.
and I want a cozy bathroom
and giant wood plank floors
For style..... I mean, if anything were actually comfortable...? But even then, I'm probably still in this kind of camp... slouchy tops, v tight pants, cozy sweaters.
@doxiemoxie212 I may have had unreasonable expectations when we were buying a house recently and one of them was NOTHING on the island. Like what is the point if you have a big stove or sink in the way. It's supposed to be a work space.
Also on the bathroom, I want a beautiful freestanding soaking tub

@krashke, if I'm being honest, I want a house with like 10 bathrooms so that each one can have an entirely different aesthetic and I can live all my pinterest dreams at once lol lol lol
AND WHY DO PEOPLE CLUTTER THE ISLAND! I understand that sometimes in small spaces there's no other choice. But sometimes when I browse billionaire dream homes to torture myself, I see people with these giant kitchens and all this stupid isht on the island. WHY? Are cooks not voicing their opinions during the design process??? lol
I love this thread. I'm in the process of trying to furnish and decorate our living room (and the rest of our house). I have tried to be more disciplined lately in narrowing down my design aesthetic. There are so many beautiful styles I love. Now that we're in our "forever" house I'm noticing my Pinterest board is less aspirational and more realistic/ what works for our house, budget, pieces we already have, etc. It's a little less drool-worthy but it's a good tool as I'm making choices.
@krashke your second house photo is on my Pinterest board.
Style: Similar to @krashke@doxiegirl419 chic, classic, minimalist. I lean towards more feminine. TBH I'm out of touch with trends and haven't shopped much the past few years. I just looked at my Pinterest style board and it's a bit dated... I'd like to invest in a nice wardrobe once my tubes are tied.
House Decorating: Fresh airy spaces with pops of bright color. Lots of traditional pieces with some artsy eclectic touches thrown in.
I'm going to copy this pic. almost exactly for our powder room.
We have a window seat in our house. Would like to add molding and a pretty cushion:
@krashke I really like makeupbytiffanyd. I love her house and her decor. And that new closet, girrrrllllll. I like her outfits too. Put together without looking like she tried so hard.
I bought my first home on my own 3 years ago. The inside was a 1970s train wreck. Avocado green bathtubs and toilets, wall paneling and wall to wall wallpaper. Totally cool if thats your style, but it wasnt for me. I gutted the entire thing bc I'm nuts--not a real good time for a type A. While it doesn't have quite the space I desire my forever home to have, I was lucky enough to pick everything that went into it; toilets, door knobs, paint, light fixtures. Since I did it alone, I didn't have a partner to argue with. I was able to choose everything I liked, within a budget. That being said, I learned that I like clean lines, a lot of white, grays, dark floors, no clutter. Just for fun, here is a before and after of the kitchen.
If money were no object, I'd have triple the square footage, a giant kitchen island, a laundry room on the floor with the bedrooms instead of in the basement, a walk in food pantry, a finished basement with a bar area, an outdoor fireplace, a covered front porch with a swing. I've imagined it all All with a similar look of what I've picked on my smaller scale.
@amy614 Your kitvhen is a breath of fresh air. We are still living with an avocado tub and toilet. Our kitchen looked like your "before" but I've done some low budget updates like painting the cabinets white to tide us over.
@krashke you might like the blog ChrislovesJulia for home decor. Your first pic. reminds me of their look.
Oooh this is fun! Mine is classic Hollywood vintage meets goth for appearance, a la Dita Von Teese: Sorry I don't know how to do the spoiler tag to condense the images >.<
