Was finally able to hear baby's heartbeat using the doppler. Also they had the chips I like at the store so I didnt have an ugly cry in the aisle like last time. Happy Thursday.
@ramblebee yay for hearing the heartbeat on the Doppler. It's the best. What kind of chips are on your radar? I'm really into the salt and vinegar kind. I try not to buy them often because the regular size bag is gone in 2 sittings.
I am thankful I finally told my boss yesterday and she wasn't a complete asshat. She was happy for us, well on the front she put up anyways. I'm sure she waited 2.5 seconds to start whispering crap. Whatevs. Just glad that awkward discussion is over. Now we can publicly let everyone know.
Also thankful today I am bringing my mom with me to an elective ultrasound place so she can have a peek at the babes. I wanted her to be able to witness the first one but I was way too apprehensive that all wasn't going to be ok and I couldn't deal with seeing that.
Omg @amys614 yes as the salt and vinegar cape cod chips are life right now. Last time they were out of stock and when the poor shelf stocking person said I could have a rain check I was in a bad place lol.
Telling my boss was anxiety inducing, glad that went as well as it could for you!
@Miz_Lizpretzel turtles FYI for anyone interested in making these, I used the Kraft caramels last year and they have some type of coating on them to make them not stick together but it made it so the pecan didn't stick either. This year I bought the caramels from the bulk section and FX they don't do the same thing.

I'm thankful that my new shirt came in the mail yesterday! We're getting family pictures done on Sunday and I had to order a shirt from Wal-Mart. We're leaving on Friday, and I needed to take it with me and I was so worried it wouldn't get in on time, but it did!
I am so thankful my husband is back from work travel. Caring for a needy 11-month-old who is evidently going through some wacky sleep issues, along with our needy dog who needs loads of exercise, while also pregnant and working full-time, was really exhausting. My admiration forever to anyone doing this parenting stuff on their own. Also my son was so happy to see his daddy when he woke up this morning that it might have made me tear up a little.

Dr appointment today, I'm thankful DH is able to attend this one. Excited going in with no major issues just excited to hear the heartbeat and see the growth. Thankful tomorrow is payday and our holiday bonus will be included. One week until I fly out to see my family for the first time since March. Like @MoonOverGoldsboro my husband's last traveling event of his busy season is this weekend. So I get to have him with me consistently again.
@krashke My mom always makes those pretzel turtles and I LOVE them. She uses bulk caramels and has never had any problems that I know of. Fingers crossed for you!
@ffw0617 Three cheers for husbands at home! I'm a big fan of my alone time, but it gets old after a while.

Thankful I stopped at Target last night and found on clearance, a Graco infant car seat for $44, and a Graco double stroller for $99!!! I've been looking at double strollers for a few months and was not prepared to pay $200 for a decent one.
Thankful for this pregnancy (I guess that goes without saying?)---never thought I'd be here. And for SO, who has been so patient and kind to me. Even though I want to maim him most days...I am glad he's around :-)
@MoonOverGoldsboro@ffw0617 Yay for hubs being home! Mine travels quite a bit, but he comes home today and doesn't have another trip for a little while. I'm used to him being gone a lot because it's all I've ever known, but it weighs on me.
@krashke Good luck at the upcoming NT! Seeing the baby look so much more developed and hearing good results finally kicked me into "wow this is really happening and a baby is really coming" mode!
I am thankful that tomorrow is the last day of school before break! 3 weeks of freedom!
@kfren Ahhh, I am so jealous of the double stroller!! That's really the one big purchase we have to make for this pregnancy and I am dreading dropping the $$$.

@moonovergoldsboro - check fb marketplace. I already found one but I went to look to see what was out there and what they're selling for and there are a ton that look like they're in great shape for $50-100
Thankful for a work at home job! And that peak season is winding down... because I was able to have a delicious lunch date at Indian buffet with DH and be sluggish this afternoon.
@kfren such good deals!! I told DH before becoming pregnant that I am allowing myself one splurge this pregnancy, and that’s a double stroller. We will see if I feel the same way when it comes to spending the $$
i am thankful that DH is now off work until the new year. DD has been rocking a fever all week and I can’t imagine doing this without him around.. also this means he can come to all of my baby appts next week without having to worry about leaving work
@Miz_Liz I have not tried All Dressed Chips. In fact, not sure I have seen them. Maybe they are there, but I just always have my eye on the prize haha I will look for a bag and then prepare. Maybe if I have an egg white omelette for breakfast and a salad with chicken for lunch, I can just eat the bag for dinner. I don't know how to just eat a serving of chips anymore. In fact, I don't know how to eat a serving of anything anymore. Sometimes I feel like eating nothing, but when I find something that is tasting good, I lose all control. I ate a whole bag of pistachios in 2 days. I'm pretty sure the salt burnt a piece of my lip off.
@Miz_Liz after seeing All Dressed chips recommended again, got them last night (ruffles brand). They are pretty good, kind of remind me of bbq. DH is now obsessed after bocking at them initially. He told me I'm welcome to leave rest for him lol
Now I really want Ruffles All Dressed chips. I haven't had them since I moved to USA from Canada 2 years ago and I was mostly under the impression they weren't sold here, apparently not??

@ramblebee a rain check for chips! I love it!
@kfren wow you scored an awesome deal. That's exciting! Buying baby stuff is so fun, especially at a great price!
@doxiemoxie212 hope your trip is amaaaaazing!
