This thread is for those who are trying to maintain physical activity throughout pregnancy. It can be walking around the block, hitting the gym, training for a marathon, and everything in between.
There is no physical activity too small during pregnancy.
This is the most fitting gif I've seen in awhile. I may reenact this for DH.

How did this week go for you?
This week went really well! I've already gone 3 times (which is my goal) and will probably do a 4th. I also did 2 nights back to back for the first time since bfp. And two nights, I completed the workout fully twice in a row which I also haven't done since my bfp.
How are you feeling about your exercise?
I'm feeling pretty good and pretty proud of myself. My first goal was to get back to my double workout and I've finally done that. My only other goal is to do this workout until 7 months. Not necessarily to the extreme I've gotten back to, but the regular 30 minutes workout.
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish up strong?
They play some random music at the gym and most of the time I don't any attention to it. When I used to run, I had a nice playlist, but it's been like 6 months since I used it so I remember almost none of the songs.
The one song I would play to keep my pumped is Fight Song. That song was my anthem when the twins were in the nicu and it reminded me I was running to be healthier for them.

How did this week go for you? I didn't do anything except go on a walk last Sunday.
How are you feeling about your exercise? I am finally feeling better, but then we were hosting Hanukkah dinner and are getting ready to go out of town. I am going to get back at it when we get back from our trip. I should be active on our vacation with a lot of walking, but no "intentional exercise."
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish up strong? I like top 40. Anything peppy. My guilty pleasure song for running is Justin Bieber's "Baby."
@mileswithmyles I’m so glad you’re feeling better!

How did this week go for you?
Good! Today will be my 5th day in a row and then I’ll take the weekend off and probably Monday, too. Saturday we have Christmas parties out of town, Sunday afternoon is DD’s 5th birthday party and Monday is her actual birthday. Ugh, and i just realized Tuesday is the last day of parents’ day out before Christmas break so I may not get my workout in on Tuesday, either since it’s my last day of freedom for 3 weeks
How are you feeling about your exercise?
Good but frustrating as I have to start modifying. I don’t mind skipping box jumps but even mountain climbers and rowing are getting awkward, and I love those because they’re such efficient exercises.
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish up strong?
My trainer plays “jukebox hero” bun foreigner every now and then and it gets me so pumped
@mileswithmyles You'll definitely get some walking workouts in in NYC!

How did this week go for you?
Not bad, I skipped yesterday to give myself a day off but I've been to the gym the rest of the week. Prepping for all the eating I will do next week for Christmas with my family.
How are you feeling about your exercise?
Not too bad. I've used my belly band a couple times but honestly I haven't really liked it that much- I'm not sure if I should wait until I'm further along to use it or try a different kind. I'm having my sister bring her old one with when we meet up for vacation next week to see if I like that one better.
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish up strong?
Nothing particular- any fast paced music. I usually listen to spotify if I'm listening to music. Lately I've been listening to podcasts though.
@MissusTexas, you have a busy couple of weeks!!!
I too am finding mountain climbers more difficult now and I used to love them. Like, I would do mine with my feet up on the wall, but can't do that now! When I do them recently, I put my leg out to the side of my body and not up to my elbow. That's been helping a bit.
@rachelg777, what kind of belly band do you have? Mine are spandex and just slide up over the bump. I wish they were longer so they could also try and help take the boobs.
I also want to add that one of the new trainers was working last night and questioned when I didn't want to do Superman raises (you lie on your belly and lift your four limbs in the air). Yeah, no. I don't even lie on my belly in my extremely soft and comfy bed!! It was kind of annoying to me that she would question my judgement on what I felt comfortable with doing. Which is why I try to work out around her schedule, but the regular girl must be out this week.
And really, taking the knees out to the side more works lats a little more so we’re still getting some good moves in!
@rachelg777 I’ve been starting to look into some belly support. There is a mesh one online that has decent reviews but I’m trying to make it until january before I get one. Let us know what you think of your sister’s!

How did this week go for you?
Okay. DS has been sick, so I haven’t been sleeping well and am overly tired. Also stressed trying to get Christmas shopping done...
How are you feeling about your exercise?
Okay... had a friend in town early in the week, so didn’t do much for fitness or eating healthy. Did make it to yoga yesterday, and plan to make it all weekend. Am going to try to do weights at home tonight.
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish strong?
i don’t listen to music that often during work outs. I do yoga classes, so I don’t pick the music. I hike with my family or a friend, so we chat. When I do work out on my own, I pick random things... from JT to Billy Joel
So, you guys are awesome! I'm super impressed with your workouts. I have been terrible, but need to get active and watch what I eat. I am going to start participating with you guys!

How did this week go for you?
I did nothing... Not a walk, a trip to the gym... nada
How are you feeling about your exercise?
I have done nothing this pregnancy; however, DH and I got each other exercise equipment for Christmas. He got an exercise bike and I got a treadmill. My plan is to walk at least 3 days a week.
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish up strong?
I like up beat songs I know the words to. It helps distract me from being tired when it's a good song. I typically listen to fitradio stations.
@mileswithmyles Walking IS a workout when you are carrying an extra person inside you!
@rachelg777 Does the bellyband actually do anything? I have seen the ones that support the bump and those seem like they may help but I'm not big enough for them yet.
holli0801 let's just count xmas shopping as a workout!

How did this week go for you?
THis was for last week but I was so busy to check in. I did a kickboxing class, a weightlifting class, and a dance class. I also walked 2-3 miles on both Saturday and Sunday in the snow. Pretty average week for me. Hoping to up the workouts to nighttime yoga each night at home.
How are you feeling about your exercise?
It's getting a little harder with teh balance aspect. I have to be near a wall at my classes so I can get some support. I amy need to switch classes to spin or do the pool. But I hate doing the pool in the winter.
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish up strong?
I like listening to podcasts. It makes the time fly. I am listening to Murder on the Cape right now. SO gooD!
@justsuzie and @rachelg777 yeah the band I have is just like a tube of spandex and it has helped a lot with bump bouncing.
I ordered 2 sets, one in a size for earlier pregnancy and another for the end of pregnancy. The second set I'm counting on just using more for day to day support if I don't have on maternity clothes.
@JNCPro3130, I did no exercise last pregnancy and it was a huge mistake. I wish I would have done something, even just walking every day, but I was on bed rest on and off so much that it was hard to get into a groove.
My biggest worry this week and next week is getting out of my groove with the holiday. I wrote on our weekly calender on the fridge what days I will be going to the gym so dh pushes me to go.
How did this week go for you? So far so good. No Zofran this week! Been working 17 hour days though, so no time for exercise.
How are you feeling about your exercise? Getting back into it, even if its only twice a week. Feeling good about that.
What kind of music do you like to exercise to? Any specific songs you turn to that helps you finish up strong?
I like everything, but I especially like boy bands (nsync lol) and 90's hip hop.
