Re: DD Check In 2nd Week of June (10th-16th) 12/14 Edition

  •  1. With the baby OTW has anything changed this Christmas season? We don't want to spend as much on anything like gifts. It feels more special because we know its our last child free Christmas so we are focused on us more, although I miss my family and can't wait to see them next weekend, I'm happy for this time of just me and DH.

    2. Are you symptoms subsiding? What if any symptoms are you experiencing?
Progressively, still some constipation. But overall I feel much better.

    3. Give us one goal for the 2nd trimester:
    work out consistently

    4. Brag on yourself. As women we never give ourselves enough credit. Share one brag about you from this week:
I successfully fought off a cold last week without meds with rest, hydration and diet.

  • @ffw0617 I'm still constipated :(  I go every day but it's like I'm pooping out little rocks.  I think it might be like this for the long haul.

    1. With the baby OTW has anything changed this Christmas season?

Everything in my life is different now lol

    2. Are you symptoms subsiding? What if any symptoms are you experiencing?

They're definitely subsiding, but they're still there.  Instead of getting nauseous all day it's mostly just at specific times, and it's mostly controlled by my eating habits.  I'm starting to get some joint pain and sore muscles though.  I need to exercise :(

    3. Give us one goal for the 2nd trimester:

I'm copying @ffw0617 and saying working out.  I haven't at all in a long time.

    4. Brag on yourself. As women we never give ourselves enough credit. Share one brag about you from this week:

I've finally gained back the weight I lost during those first few awful weeks!  Is it weird to brag about eating 5 pounds of fries?

  • @ffw0617 I was constipated for literally my entire last pregnancy, and it's not looking good this time, either. Eating an apple a day helps me go a little more regularly, at least.
@RatParade I have such an intense craving for waffle fries!! Totally satisfying that this weekend.

    1. With the baby OTW has anything changed this Christmas season? If so what is it?
Except for the fact that I can't drink at the holidays for the second year in a row (BOO), everything is pretty much business as usual this year.

    2. Are you symptoms subsiding? What if any symptoms are you experiencing?
I have been feel markedly better, and my pizza face has been clearing up nicely. Still an occasional bout of "ugh, no food sounds vaguely appetizing," but pretty rarely.

    3. Give us one goal for the 2nd trimester:
Cook real dinners instead of relying on weird conglomerations of freezer food.

    4. Brag on yourself. As women we never give ourselves enough credit. Share one brag about you from this week:
I totally super-mommed all by myself for the week while my husband was out of town. I know this is actually not that impressive, but it's weird how good it made me feel. I had previously never done that for more than a night or two.

  • Hey there ladies, been missing from the boards as I got settled into the new job I started a few weeks ago. Been wanting to get back to being active instead of lurking...

Happy Friday Eve. Let's get right to it

    1. With the baby OTW has anything changed this Christmas season? If so what is it?
My sheer panic over how we will pay for all this has crept up. NOT COOL. It is all going to work out. Last time DH was unemployed my whole pregnancy... And now we are both employed, and so... I don't know where this anxiety has creeped in from.

    2. Are you symptoms subsiding? What if any symptoms are you experiencing?
Nope. MS is hanging around. And the 4:30 am wake ups are not cool. I am mostly still in my regular clothes, although I suspect that will change in a week or so.

    3. Give us one goal for the 2nd trimester:
Gather equipment, and save $ for the year off... Start eating real food again. You know, like actual meals, not crackers, fruit, and milkshakes.

    4. Brag on yourself. As women we never give ourselves enough credit. Share one brag about you from this week:
Firmly believe i am holding it DOWN at work. Still not through my [probation period yet, but making some big strides. Confident I can continue to rock this new gig. Oh and made it through the office potluck while nauseous with a smile on my face, and many a salty snack!
