  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

CD/DPO: Who really knows! Just got the IUD out not long ago and wasn't having real periods, so I have no idea where I am in my cycle.

WTO - WAYDTGKU: PNV, temping/charting, sorta paying attention to CM, OPKs

CS/Q: For folks using OPKs - I got a big ol' pack of cheapies and took one yesterday and today. Today there was a super faint line. On the instructions it just says that a line means a positive, but I've read on here/TTGP that the line should be as dark as the control to count as positive. Do y'all know if that varies by brand? I'm guessing I should just keep testing daily to see if it gets darker or not, right?

R/R: I am realizing how much stuff I do not know about this process! (See probably dumb question above for example, haha). I'm trying to use this cycle to just figure out what I'm doing - since I'm not really sure what my body's doing right now anyway, I'm not putting too much pressure on timing sex.

GTKY: What shows do you binge watch, if any? I really don't binge watch TV much anymore, but I used to a lot. A few years back I binged on several seasons in a row of Pretty Little Liars  :#
  • @diaphena - what brand are they? are you using wondfos?

  • @catlady2015 The brand is iProven, from what I can tell they are similar to wondfos. I found them on Amazon.
  • @diaphena - i'm not familiar with those :( I know what you know, the line should be as dark as the control to be positive on an OPK. If it's light, maybe your surge is starting or fading? sorry i can't be more help!

  • @catlady2015 No worries, I appreciate it! I'm just going to try again tomorrow to see if it changes.
  • @diaphena I use Wondfos, not familiar with the brand you have, but I think I've read on TTGP somewhere that the OPKs can vary. Some have different times to test (FMU vs midday), how they show "positive" is different, etc. If the instructions say any line is positive then I'd say you have ovulated recently or will ovulate soon if it's a faint line. Not 100% sure though!

WTO - WAYDTGKU: PNV's, Charting, now starting to HIO every day / every other day. H loves this part ;)

    TWW - Timing:

    TWW - Testing:

    CS/Q: nadda

R/R: not much today. I have a serious case of the Monday's and I'm not in the mood to be at work at all which is never good for the pile of paperwork sitting on my desk.

GTKY: What shows do you binge watch, if any?
oh god.. What don't I... Our list of binges / previous binges that we are now watching live include:
Shameless; 90 Day Fiance; Modern Family; Greys Anatomy; How to get away with murder; Life in Pieces; Hells Kitchen; Suits.
There's a lot more I just can't think of right now.. H and I love watching TV together.
@diaphena I LOVE PLL!! I binged most of it forever ago then caught up and watched the last few seasons live. If you like it you'll also like Famous in Love and The Bold Type !
  • @catlady2015 Yay for the positive OPK! Hope you had some fun ;) I enjoy Food Network, but there are some shows on there that I'm not a fan of.

@diaphena You'll figure your cycle out! It took me a bit to get used to mine after my implant came out, since I had only had maybe three or four over a six year time frame. As far as OPKs, the cheapies I was using stated that the line had to be as dark or darker than the control line for it to be a positive. I never once got a positive with that brand and will not be buying it again. I did have luck with CBAD, but they're too dang expensive. I'm using their regular digital ones this time, as recommended by the RE.

@kristah2 You know, I've never seen Pretty Little Liars? I'm weird. I know. Good luck with your timing this month!

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD/DPO: CD6

WTO - WAYDTGKU: HIO, PNVs, tracking CM, and doing what the RE has suggested so far.

    CS/Q: None yet.

    R/R: I'm just absolutely exhausted.

GTKY: What shows do you binge watch, if any? We watch a lot. Criminal Minds, Friends (mostly for background noise, since I find some things about that show problematic), Futurama, Once Upon A Time... Currently binging on Forensic Files, and there are a few others that we enjoy, but we're so far behind on them. And a few things I can't watch with DH, like Ash vs The Evil Dead, The X-Files, and Supernatural (up to season 5's finale, because after that, it's crap).

  • @catlady2015 @CecilB93 and @dreamscapes_ Thanks all for your feedback/encouragement! And yeah I'll get the hang of this eventually... :)  So far I've gotten the same super-faint line for 3 days in a row, sooo I'm thinking this might be something related to the tests themselves and not me. I may chill out with the OPKs til next cycle... I don't want to waste a bunch of them if it ends up being the totally wrong time to test.

@kristah2 I did the same thing with PLL - I think I watched 3 or 4 seasons on Netflix then the rest as it came out. Although I stopped watching after the time jump thing that they did - I dunno why, but I just couldn't get into it again after that! But before that it was such a fun show!
  • Month/Cycle: 7/7

    CD/DPO: 35/11

    TWW - Timing: -1

    TWW - Testing:  12/17

    CS/Q: nada!

R/R: having a rough couple of days TTC. TW coming up: just found out my coworker is pregnant (unplanned) and so is a girl on another forum I'm on (and no one even likes her, which I know has nothing to do with fertility but it's just kinda salt in my TTC wound). Blah. I guess we'll see what happens this cycle, but it's just been hard feeling like I'm surrounded by pregnancy all the time. Just trying to focus on being happy for them and reminding myself that there's plenty of fertile juju to go around.

GTKY: What shows do you binge watch, if any? Lots! Currently The Marvelous Mrs Mazel. I love it, but DH is so-so on it.
  • I've been lurking all week.

    FX for everyone!
  • @JennyColada - I know the feeling. It seems like everywhere I go right now I see bumps. Whether it's random people at the stores OR people near and dear to me, it's been hard to be more excited for them instead of sad for myself because I'm not yet. I know I'm only a couple months into trying, but I'm really concerned b/c I'm already AMA.

We're going to the in-laws for Christmas (who have no grandkids) and I'm fully expecting to hear the ever-fun question: are we going to be grandparents EVER? But we're definitely not telling them we're trying and AF is due actually Christmas day (so no testing at the IL's with only 1 bathroom). Need to remember that line - plenty of fertile juju to go around! Being "geriatric" in terms of fertility doesn't mean I'm completely out.

  • @catlady2015 that sucks when people butt in with rude questions like that. MH used to tell our parents we were going to push back ttc plans a year each time they asked us about it just to spite them and the questions at least were less frequent.

  • @meggyme We used to say the same thing to my IL’s! Ha!

@catlady2015 Sorry they keep pestering you. It’s so incredibly rude (and potentially very hurtful/triggering) for people to badger others over TTC. You never know what someone has been through! What if you tested somewhere out of the house? My first pregnancy I tested at a restroom of a furniture store.  :D I also may have taken an OPK at a Panera once....
  • @Wishilivedinflorida - I've been thinking about that. Maybe I can get lucky enough DH and I can do some "last-minute christmas shopping" and get away for awhile. hmmmmm....
