    @spottedginger DH made me watch Die Hard last Christmas (I had never seen it before!) and I loved it. It's a great movie. Now I want to watch it again.

    I’m packing for a conference I’m flying out for in the morning and drinking some white wine (cheers @offtoneverland, @spottedginger and @SkilledSailor!) My DH and I are getting ready to watch Shameless (we are on season 3) and I’m planning to paint my nails. 

    @SkilledSailor Do you do a book for each year? I wish I was better about printing pictures and documenting!

    @southernlady07 I do! I started it about four years ago so my first one was a hodge podge of the previous 7 years but since then it's been yearly. Although I'm admittedly just finishing 2016s.

    I used to scrapbook a lot more before DD. I should really break out my cricuit and fire it up again. Scrapbooking can be so relaxing.

    @meatballs37 @offtoneverland So I actually don’t have a cricut. I know it can do a lot but what do y’all use it for most? Is it easy to use?

    @SkilledSailor Instead of buying stickers or embellishments I use my cricut to make them. I have several cartridges with different themes (travel, Disney, animals, fonts) and you can do so much with them! I find it pretty easy to use. Some that have several layers can be a little tricky to glue together but I love the puzzle of putting them together. Side note: my friend also uses hers to make wall decals and iron on designs for t-shirts, so it's not just for scrapbooking!

    @meatballs37 @offtoneverland @skilledsailor I want a circuit!!  I borrowed a (former) friend’s for my wedding & was sad to return it. I have a water cup with my name on it out of vinyl let’s someone made me, too. 

    However, my next major crafting purchase will hopefully (in my dreams, likely) be a new sewing machine.

    @SkilledSailor I am sure it is so rewarding to look back on the books you have finished! I have made a few shadow boxes for special memories (our wedding, etc.) and we are redoing our downstairs area so I am getting ready to rethink our gallery walls/frames. Do you have a favorite site/company from which to order prints? 

    @offtoneverland I’ll be out of town until Wednesday afternoon. Looking forward to some time alone and exploring a new city but it’s also hard to be away from home!

    @offtoneverland That’s true! My mom has one too and she used it a lot to make gift bags and banners for my wedding shower. I used it for DD’s first b-day.

    @SkilledSailor I would say I probably used the cricuit more for gift bags and parties than scrapbooking these days. It’s awesome!

    @jrm_14 A new sewing machine would be amazing! Hopefully you can get one eventually. My friend brought her sewing machines over a few months ago to help me make some curtains. It was a lot of fun but she drove me crazy too because she kind of just eyeballs things instead of measuring and I thought it was so weird! Yay for delicious food last night! What did you have? I've been wanting to drive around here to see some huge lights displays...thanks for the reminder! 
    @southernlady07 I like to order prints from Snapfish. The always look really great to me. I tried Shutterfly and didn't like it at all. The colors were really dull and quality was bad.
    @emmasemm Yay for a lazy day! Hope YH feels much better soon. DH wanted to buy some outdoor Christmas decorations this year, but I suggested that we wait since we're going to be out of town for 1.5 weeks at Christmas time, so there's really no point in decorating. That's an excellent idea to shop the post-holiday sales! I'll be doing that for sure to find some things for next year.

    @SkilledSailor I have not been really happy with Shutterfly lately either. They once sent me photos i ordered as 8x10s. But they only printed it as a 4x6 on 8x10 paper. So there was all white around it. I was like wtf? 

    My my mom made the bags for my wedding shower. I made the banner for DD’s birthday. Pinterest has so many neat vinyl ideas I’d love to tackle.

    We had snow yesterday too and I opted for red wine. Something about snow just makes me want red wine and brownies, although sadly there were no brownies. 

    @SkilledSailor I love to scrapbook too. I went to a scrapbooking expo this summer with my stepmom and aunt. It was just a long weekend of scrapbooking and they had all kinds of vendors you could buy from right there. I’m dying for a cricut but I’ll probably never use it for actual scrapbooking stuff. 

    @jrm_14 I’m almost ashamed to admit that I got a sewing machine a couple christmases ago from my in laws and all I’ve done is Pinterest easy sewing projects. Maybe using it will be part of my New Years resolution.

    @jrm_14 - isn't it funny what the cats claim? I have a hideous ratty old ottoman that went with a broken chair. I was going to throw it away with the chair but the cat claimed it as a bed/birdwatching perch and now I'm stuck with it.
