    1) 31 weeks!!  9 weeks or less to go!

    I’ll be 31 weeks tomorrow (monday). Crazy that we are into single digit weeks to go!

    2) How are you feeling? 

    Good! Lots more kicks now which I’ve been waiting anxiously for having anterior placenta. Although baby has taken to kicking me in the hip bone and it almost makes my leg give out!

    3) Any appointments this week? 

    Just some blood work this week, next doctors appt is at 32 weeks. 

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 

    Not really at the moment. Had baby shower this weekend and it was lovely. And makes me feel more comfortable now going out and buying what I need for baby where I had been holding off in case we were gifted things. 

    We’ve started the cloth diaper vs disposable debate, so any insight on that would be great! 


    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special? 

    White Christmas! Best movie ever.

    2) How are you feeling?  I’m feeling ok, typical things like heartburn and having a hard time sleeping but overall good

    3) Any appointments this week? 
    2! One with a specialist to ultrasound and see if placenta has moved and then a follow up with my doc

    Not today :)

    Feeling okay! Heartburn persists (it's just going to stick around until the baby arrives, I've accepted it. It started at week 11 so at this point I'm like what else is new I just breathe fire all day). I'm starting to feel run down and unmotivated to do much - blaming it on the pregnancy but maybe it's just winter setting in!

    No appointment this week but I have been getting dizzy / light headed here and there. If it keeps up I may be sent for bloodwork- so far I've gotten lightheaded 3 times in the past 4 days .... thinking I will call the doc if it doesn't go away in the next couple days?

    nothing really to rant about- just need to get Christmas shopping started! I attempted to brave the mall this wk and gave up quickly. Will be doing most shopping online this year- no thanks, crowds.

    2) How are you feeling? 
    I’m in the hospital for the second time this week after a second bleed (complete previa) and missed my baby shower. I’m ok but sad and scared. They are talking about me being here long term as an inevitable rather than a possibility and I’ve gotten steroid shots and met with the NICU doctor. 
    3) Any appointments this week? 
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? I need some show recco’s I am going CRAZY on bed rest. Also my rave is that my mom and sis brought me a centerpiece from my shower and some gifts yesterday which was really nice. 
    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special? I love Just Friends, it’s just so funny. Elf, Love Actually, The Holiday also.

    Woo!!! I’m so ready for February lol

    2) How are you feeling? 
    good for the most part! Heartburn, BH,sore after walking all day... nothing new

    3) Any appointments this week? 
    nope. My 3hr glucose test was Thursday, so I’m just hoping I passed. No appointment here till 32weeks 

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 
    we pick up our new van this week! Excited for that. 

    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?     
    I love The Santa Claus

    @pandappanderson I came so close to cloth diapering this baby! The  convenience won over for me. I just can’t handle the idea of spraying/washing the poop off. But there are so many great cloth diaper options!

    No appointments this week. I see it as the calm before the storm bc I have three the following and then four the week of Christmas. I’m over going to the doctor. And I’m over being pregnant. 

    Favorite Christmas movie....Polar express bc my youngest is in love with it and he lights up every time even at 6 years old. 

    @pandappanderson I cloth diapers with my first two. And then switched to disposables. It’s a lot of work and I already suck at laundry so it didn’t work for us. Plus...you aren’t really saving any money once you factor in detergent, washing and time spent. So I’ll be bombing the landfill with little piles of poop.

    It's that time of year that strangers feel the need to ask me if it's going to be a Christmas baby! Nope random person, 9 weeks to go! But I don't mind, I'm just excited to meet the little.

    2) How are you feeling? 
    Not bad this week. Unbearably thirsty and still having back and tailbone pain; par for the course at this point.

    3) Any appointments this week? 
    Nothing till next week.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 
    We finally got our Christmas tree! It's my first real tree in several years and my SO and DS have never had the cut your own experience so it was a ton of fun!

    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?

    1) 31 weeks!!  9 weeks or less to go!  - technically 8 since my CS is scheduled for 1/31!

    2) How are you feeling? 
    Pretty good overall. The heartburn is getting worse and I’m tired all the time. Oh, and who can forget the lightening crotch. Baby boy knows just where to punch to make me double over. 

    3) Any appointments this week? 
    Today actually.  I’ll get my TDap and blood work for my thyroid to see if the last adjustment is working. 

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 
     Just stressing out trying to plan the boys birthday party on the 16th (bdays on the 15 and 20), then take care of Christmas all while still trying to get ready for baby boy. MIL is coming up on the 23rd but thankfully is staying at a hotel so I don’t have to entertain 24/7.  And of course I have bought zero presents so far. 

    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?
    Christmas Vacation and The Santa Clause.

    So excited! It's getting so close!

    2) How are you feeling? 
    Giant! Also having regular heartburn, insomnia, vivid dreams, and back/hip pain. Recently ankle/feet swelling at the end of the day, but not every day.

    3) Any appointments this week? 
    Nope

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 
    So thrilled to be finishing grad school this week. I'm a little nervous though because there's a decent sized snowstorm expected Wednesday evening through Thursday night. I have to drive out to my last night of grad school on Wednesday and am supposed to have my students perform their chorus concert on Thursday. Wishing this snowstorm could wait a week.

    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?
    Ooh Christmas Vacation, Elf, and Home Alone 1 and 2.

    I’m 30 w 4 days and baby’s moving like crazy right now :)

    2) How are you feeling? 
    Good, tired. I had my baby shower on Saturday and it was awesome. However I was on my feet for almost 6 hours, in kitten heels, and it totally knocked my energy out for the wknd. 

    3) Any appointments this week? 
    Not until after Xmas. Which seems a little long now that I think about it. Huh. Oh well.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 
    Now that the big shower has passed my lovely husband has been kind enough to make a couple pieces of the ikea furniture. Things are coming together for the nursery and I don’t know if I’ve ever been so excited to start organizing. 

    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?
    I am a huge christmas fan. I dig White Christmas and A Christmas Story the most. Two very different but classic flicks.

    No complain, I still make it through the night, so far so good.

    1) 31 weeks!!  9 weeks or less to go!
    I'll be 31 weeks on Saturday. I can't believe there are 9 or so weeks to go. Sometimes I feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER and other times I'm like omg so much is about to change so so soon and I don't feel ready. 
    2) How are you feeling? 
    All in all I feel pretty okay. Physically, I'm just exhausted and fatigued all the time. I haven't slept well in weeks. I don't know how much of that is related to feeling like I can't breathe easily cause there's a tiny human crowding my ribs, the anxiety seems to set in at night and then all the peeing starts...I usually wake up at about 2:30 and will be up until 5:30 when the pitter patter of little feet come down the hallway and request to join us in the big bed. I've had multiple people tell me I "don't look 30.5 weeks pregnant" and that starts the anxiety right back up. I'm hoping my appointment tomorrow will ease the anxiety. I'm glad I don't look huge either but I want to make sure the baby is measuring appropriately. 
    3) Any appointments this week? 
    I have an appointment on Wednesday. My last appointment was my glucose screening and at that time, the doctor told me she would be scheduling my c-section the next time I came in. I'm hoping go time will be mid to late January at around 38 weeks. 
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 
    Rant: Ugh. My sister. My mom. All the family. (see previous post in another thread for specifics there) as long as I don't speak to either of them for a while (like maybe a few weeks/Christmas will be a good time to talk to them again) I think I'll be over everything. 
    Rave: My son had a great Santa photo experience this year! Last year, he was 18 months and really apprehensive and cried a lot. This year, we could hardly contain him while the kids in front of us saw Santa. He walked right up to Santa, waved, hugged him, climbed up on the seat and sat next to him. He also really seems to enjoy finding the elf every morning. He always says goodbye to our elf and that he promises to have a good day. It's very cute. 
    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?
    Hmm..this is a tough one. Either Elf or The Santa Clause I think

    2) How are you feeling?  Huge.  If I don't walk the Chuck in the morning I get restless leg at night.  Other than that pretty good.
    3) Any appointments this week?  Nope but I start twice a week ultrasounds next week.  Very greatful that my employer is understanding and my office is super close to the hospital/ OB office.
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions?  I am halfway done with the thank you notes for our baby shower.  I just feel like I need to get that off my plate!  
    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?      A Christmas Story.  I have loved it since I was a kid.  The actual house is in Cleveland.  One of the times we go visit my inlaws I am going to tour it.

    Sorry you had to miss your shower @MrsJ2410!!!  How is everything going today???

    I'm in the same camp as @smorzandoj.  I don't think I have the energy for cloth diapering.  I will be clogging up the landfill too.

    Congrats on finishing grad school @gingermama26!!!!

    @amb929 I still want to slap some sense into your sister for you.

    2) How are you feeling? 
    I feel generally well. Just easily fatigued, trouble sleeping but able to nap during the day, heartburn and I get full very easily, moderate pubic pain and leg cramps at night
    3) Any appointments this week? 
    I have an appointment today
    4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 
    Rave- I'm grateful to be able to do low impact workouts
    Rants-    I'm crying about every little thing. Last night I was walking on the treadmill and I couldn't stop crying. Sigh
    5) GTKY: What is your favorite holiday movie or special?

    Hi and welcome!!!  It is hard to tag you in conversations with a knottie screen name.  Please change your screen name (you have to do this on a desktop, log out and log back in.  If you do it on mobile it won't update) to something unique so we can include you in the conversation.  Also, introduce yourself on the introductions thread so we can all get to know you!

    It took me a few tries as well.  I know you have to be on a desktop.  You have to sign out after you change it and sign back in.

    Actually the only way to do it is on a desktop by going under account settings on theknot.com and changing the username. I came across this through a google search. Also I did an intro a few days ago. Thanks
