What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Rant- I posted in another thread, but I have bronchitis for the third time this year, so that pretty much sucks. This is also the second time I have been really sick this pregnancy. And I am still barfing, so I am basically a hot mess. Oh, and I pee myself almost every time I cough or vomit. All dignity has left me at this point. Rave- Only 8 more work days until winter break! And, I finished my interim reports, so I feel accomplished.
Any upcoming appointments? I see my OB on Wednesday and have my AS on Thursday.
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at? Organizing information and finding efficient ways to to things.

I finally have an appointment scheduled! My kid ate food out of the trash can today... I came back from the bathroom, realized I forgot to put the gate up between the living room and the kitchen, where he was watching TV, and then he’s eating cabbage from last night’s dinner. /facepalm At least it was actual good and not something deadly???
As as far as how I’m doing, meh? I’m still pregnant, so not wonderful... but also I’m still pregnant, so yay?

GTKY: What's something that you are really good at?
I’m good at organizing things. I rarely do it, and you’d never know from the constant state of my house, but I’m actually really good at it. (OCD is weird like that... I have general areas things go, and if anyone else disrupts my things it freaks me out. I also compulsively count things that are unnecessary to count...)

Today was the first day someone at work asked me if I was pregnant! Unsure if it's super obvious by now or if she's a brave soul. I could've just said, nope just fat. But I couldn't bring myself to

My next appointment can't come soon enough. It's next Thursday. I have no confirmation of whether the baby inside me is still alive and kicking
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at?
I have no idea! I like to photograph as a hobby. So there's that.

RLP is kicking my ass. I probably overdid it this weekend with chores. I need to slow down and remind myself not to try to accomplish everything all at once.

We had the anatomy scan today and found out we are having a healthy, VERY active girl
Tomorrow I have my monthly appointment with my Dr.
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at?
Art - painting and sketching in particular. Watercolor is my jam. I like doing real-life stuff. Not much for abstract.

@onesmallcoconut I'm the same way, it's hard to get used to limiting physical stuff. I'm trying to be careful with what I do with our moving boxes... I can easily get carried away. For your RLP is it bad all the time? Mine is bad like every 3rd day.. kinda weird.

I had my A/S today! It was great. Everything looked good and I am so relieved. I have an anterior placenta which kinda stinks. I'm feeling some movement but not a ton and it is pretty subtle. But so thankful baby was doing well! I've got my OB appt Thursday. My rant is I've also caught a cold for the second time this pregnancy. I can deal with the cold symptoms but I hate how being sick interferes with your sleep!

I'm a good listener.
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Doing ok this week. Just annoyed at my MFM who doesn't seem to get on board with my FL plan.
Any upcoming appointments? My next appt is my OB appt on the 11th. A pretty uneventful one.
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at? I am good at making friends (when I want to be that is)

I'm a little less anxious these days, which is good. Just counting down until AS is done and then I think I'll fully be able to get into it.
I'm hating my job lately and looking into future job or maybe even career changes. Going to have to wait until after maternity leave and then at least a few months after that so I can tie things up, but I'm so over this. The main plus of my job is that they'll pay my kid's full tuition when he gets to college, but considering my son's not even born yet, I think I'll just try to get another job here at some point in the next 18 years. Lol.

GTKY: What's something that you are really good at?
Attention to detail and related skills like proofreading and editing. As a grad student I had a job grading the required undergrad writing proficiency exams and those kids must've hated me. I'm an awful writer though; I can never come up with interesting topics or get my point across convincingly.
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Braxton Hicks are popping up more and more often lately. Thankfully, most of the first trimester symptoms are easing or are gone. I've got a big rave on my DH. Over the weekend, I asked if he could take off my old toenail polish so I could trim the talons down. He offered to trim and re-paint them for me. Of course, I took him up on it.
Edit to add a rant. I was MIA a lot last week with a horrid cold. Benadryl did nothing for my symptoms, I lost my voice, and even called out 2 days from work. It was bad enough I even went to the doctor to make sure it wasn't something more serious. I'm still coughing, sneezing, and blowing my nose every 10 seconds, but at least I don't feel like death anymore...
Any upcoming appointments? Had a checkup yesterday, everything going well so far! Just waiting on the hospital to call to set up the A/S!
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at? I really like making spreadsheets. I don't know why, but after I took a class on Excel, it's just clicked and I utilize it every chance I get. I can do formulas, but macros are still over my head lol.

@sparklingdiamond Doctors get so weird and territorial. They can suck it. You do what you think is best!

@rachelg777 I have an anterior placenta too, which surprised me because I have been feeling movement for a while now (but this is my second).

18.3 artichoke. But i read somewhere else that the uterus is the size of a cantaloupe which mine feels like! So much growing and stretching this week!

I went back to work after 11 weeks off for HG. Honestly it was super rough. I work 12 hour overnight shifts as a labor and delivery nurse. I still take many pills and have my Zofran pump. I was good for about 6 hours and the last 3 hours were misery.

Anatomy scan and appt tomorrow! Excited to see him he’s been so active this week it’s feeling more “real”. Even hubby could feel him.
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at?
Skiing. I live in the mountains of Colorado with 6 resorts within 30 minutes so its literally all we do all winter. We had my son on skis last year at 20 months. I’m missing it this year already.

Feeling absolutely exhausted. Beyond ready to quit working, but I really need to try and stick it out a bit longer. Lots of pains and pelvic pressure lately. The fact that I feel him wiggle a lot now is probably the only positive.
Any upcoming appointments?
AS on Friday which is exciting. I love seeing his sweet face even if it is just an ultrasound. And monthly OB appointment on the 15th which should last all of 5 minutes.
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at?
I love photography, though I’ve been so busy this year it’s been completely placed on the back burner.
What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? have had about a kick or movement I could feel with an anterior placenta each day
Any upcoming appointments? anatomy scan on Friday went well especially with all the anxiety about her heart and spine. They got all the pics they needed and everything looked great!
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at? I'm going to copy off @mileswithmyles. I am very efficient, organized, and have a great memory which definitely makes teaching a lot easier. I do not bring work home, ever, and can get everything done (and well) at school. My H on the other hand is an amazing teacher, but lacks these skills and bringing work home drives me insane because I know it can be done at school.
@cups4 DH is the same way. We are total opposites with that

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? I’m super excited that the girls are going to the ILs this weekend... I have so much to do around the house. Hopefully I won’t squander my time with too much Netflix.
Any upcoming appointments? I had my AS on Tuesday and found out that we are having a BOY! DH legit cried. Unfortunately, he has two cysts on his brain which are soft markers for Trisomy 18 and I sent off blood to test for that. Results should be back in 10-14 days. Thankfully, he has NO other markers for that- everything else is perfectly formed and he opened his hands, which T18 babies cannot do. My midwife said she has a case with cyst on the brain once a month and has never had it be anything bad, plus the handout said in a study of 1000 babies with cysts none with mothers under 35 had chromosomal abnormalities. I’m 29. So, we’re very hopeful but I’ve never been so terrified in my life. I understand now why people get the genetic testing early because in this case T18 babies generally don’t live more than a couple of days past birth and 1% past 1 year... I would definitely want to know that sooner rather than later. So, I’m eating my “genetic testing results wouldn’t change anything.” Words.

What's going on this week? How are you feeling, any rants or raves? Work has been kicking my butt. Friday and Monday I got chewed out by two small town judges for something that no other judge in the state would bat an eye at.
Our toddler also just decided to start hitting us when she isn’t getting what she wants.
I want to wave the white flag at work and home right now.
Any upcoming appointments? AS and OB appointment on 12/14.
GTKY: What's something that you are really good at? Learning, studying, and taking exams. I can almost always pick up quickly on complex subjects. Putting the things I learn to good use is sometimes another story.
Things I am not good at: keeping up with TB. But maybe that’s just because life is so hectic right now. I am always mobile and bumping at work eats all my data.
I'm so sorry you have such stress happening in your pregnancy right now. You've got a great support system here if you ever need to vent. Really hoping for better news for you and your family with your next round of testing. The anxiety can be terrible so don't forget to care of yourself ❤️
