Has anyone had bleeding at the time of their bfp. I was positive my period was here but it's day 3 (period would be 4 days early if that' the case) and the bleeding is extremely light! I don't think it's implantation bleeding because it's on day 3 now but it's not as heavy as a normal period. No tampons needed and 1 liner is only 1/4 full after a full day. Bleeding is brown or light red. Usually i pass a lot of clots/lining but nothing this time. Hoping to get bfp tomorrow morning! I would test tonight but I drank a ton of water so likely to dilute. I have been ttc for 7 monthes and I swore this month I caught but now I have this light bleeding. Someone give me hope so I can sleep tonight!

Qfp. Please pee on a stick and/or call your dr. Also, this is not the right place for this post. In fact, it is against TOU to ask even in a round about way if you are pregnant.

Well I am super duper infertile, so I would not know because I have never come close to maybe even having a BFP. But please, tell me more about how you're maybe KU, internet stranger.
@BusinessWife Can we talk about melatonin? I have ISWTE and have not made it to that chapter yet. However, I’ve read articles (likely not legit studies) on how melatonin can disrupt hormones negatively and it isn’t really FOR sleep (just made in the darkness), etc etc.
I guess I don’t know what my question is other than have you heard of melatonin not being safe nor actually natural?
TW I bled for about 12 solid weeks with my last miscarriage, so yeah, you can bleed when pregnant. Not sure why you would ask this on a forum from trying to conceive?
@jrm_14 Melotonin is good for egg quality but also can cause regulation problems with your cycle and may interfere with conception as a result. ISTWE recommends therefore only taking it regularly if you are heading into IVF where your cycle will be regulated artificially. Sad.
Y’all are being so nice. OP, Typically if you’re bleeding towards the end of the fourth week of your cycle then you’re period is coming. If you are/were pregnant enough for this to be a pregnancy symptom then you’d be turning a test. TW* TW* With my CP at 4w1d by the time I was bleeding, my cheapies were no longer positive END TW.
@spottedginger H and I were just joking about putting a cup up in there to catch his sperm. Haha I’m loving the mitt imagery.
@jrm_14 I’m also confused about melatonin. I try not to take it during the TWW because I’d heard it’s one of the things to avoid.
Yeah, I was wondering about the "catching," thing, too!
Uhm, so not an expert. I have heard i think maybe it can delay ovulation, so may make standard ttc a bit tricksier? But its supposed ro improve egg quality in ivf cycles where natural ovulation timing is moot.
This study also mentions a staring caution about dhea, which I have never taken as I was advised against by my doctor. I only take a 5mg melatonin tab broken into 1/4's, so closer to 1.25 mg at bedtime, not the 3mg mentioned in the study. That is enough to help me get to sleep at night and still wake up naturally in the morning. 2.5 mg makes it tough for me to get up on time. I have also heard that it is safe during pregnancy, although this study cautioned against it, so now I'm less sure.
@SkilledSailor. I'm so sorry you have such a real answer to give for OPs idiotic question. (((Hugs))) <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/1c/z6f8zy1faso0.gif" alt="">

@spottedginger. I love my melatonin! Plus, has the added benefit of helping egg quality. ;)

Maybe worth mentioning to your doctor to see what they recommend....
