1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 34 weeks, butternut squash

2) How are you feeling? The past few days have gone from uncomfortable to mildly painful. I've had so much pressure and it feels like she's trying to get out. But other than that, good!

3) Any appointments this week/last? Next week I start the weekly appts. I'll be getting the GBS swab and my first cervical check, so curious to see if all this pressure is doing anything.

4) How are baby preparations going? Really well. The nursery still isn't ready, but I should be picking up the rest of the furniture this weekend. I also made about 24 freezer meals this past weekend, which is a relief. Really need to start throwing together my hospital bag.

6) GTKY - If you have one, what's your nickname or pet name for baby? She really doesn't have a nickname. We either call her by her name or the baby. But my family call her Jordan as a joke because they don't know her name and Jordan sounds terrible with my last name.

36 weeks, hes cake this week!

2) How are you feeling?
I'm still overall good! No more swelling issues (although I am running a little experiment to see if I really "need" to be wearing compression socks to work every day so that could change by 4pm today lol), I'm still sleeping pretty well etc.

3) Any appointments this week/last?
check up yesterday, did my GBS swab and had my first cervical check (nothing to report, no movement on that front), we talked about induction and how far into the process we'd go before deciding to let him just cook longer. (the answer, ripening agent and some pitocin but not breaking my water etc) but that we'd only start that process if I am dilating and effaced on my own first. so its like a half assed induction.....or something.

4) How are baby preparations going?
I feel like we've kind of stalled out, I have some things I need to get done and DH has a much longer list of things he needs to get done but last night we just chilled on the couch and watched last weeks Survivor episode lol.
I do plan to start making freezer foods today so maybe that will jump start my motivation again?

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
any STM+ moms not have any BH contractions and still go into labor early with their first? I'm hoping next week I'll be starting to dilate/efface but who knows....My midwife asked if I was having any contractions and I said I wasn't sure, she assured me that meant I wasn't lol.

6) GTKY - If you have one, what's your nickname or pet name for baby?
I call him the tiny terrorist.....its said in love but really distresses one of my best friends lol. She is concerned I'll give him a complex, I've explained I really like the alliteration of tiny terrorist (and since I have no choice but to comply with his demands or he tries to kill me it really is fitting) and fully plan to not call him that once he can process what the words mean lol.

@JuliaGoolia719 I did not have ANY BH and my water leaked at 39 weeks 2 days. They had to give me cervidil + pitocin but my water broke + bloody show!

1) How far along are you? How big is baby? I am 36 weeks TODAY and baby is the size of a Chihuahua!

2) How are you feeling? Last week was brutal with throwing up, but this week has been much much better, so I am happy! Today specifically has been good so far. I’d like more sleep, but who wouldn’t?

3) Any appointments this week/last? I go tomorrow and they should be weekly from here on out. I get the GBS swab and measured etc. I believe they do a cervical check or will if I ask (I will). I love going weekly!

4) How are baby preparations going? So good and DH is done traveling until after his paternity leave, so everything will be done… we are going to paint our main room, install the car seat bases, take DD to see Santa, finish Xmas shopping for in laws, etc. this weekend. I need a few small things and would like to get some cooking/freezing done, but LO could come and we would be ready!

5) Rants/Raves/Questions? This is sort of neutral but I feel like after Thanksgiving time has SERIOUSLY slowed down… In my head, I always think of 36 weeks as “now S#$* is getting real,” but right now, I’m like… omg I’ll only be 38 weeks in TWO weeks…

6) GTKY - If you have one, what's your nickname or pet name for baby? I spend all my not-work time with DD, and we call him “baby brother.” It’s so cute… “I want to kiss baby brother!” “I want to give an M&M to baby brother.”

1) How far along are you? How big is baby?

34 weeks. Baby is the size of a large bag of potato chips

2) How are you feeling?

Had a bit of anxiety last night d/t some life stressors, but feeling better today. Overall my anxiety has been a lot more controlled while pregnant (probably d/t hormones), so that's good. Taking the day today to relax and feeling better.

3) Any appointments this week/last?

Regular OB appointment tomorrow, and we'll be doing another BPP, so i should get another estimate of how big baby is (he/she was 5 1/2 lbs at 32 weeks).

4) How are baby preparations going?

Nursery looks great. We're still waiting on the mattress which has been delayed, but most everything else is there. I'm glad I set it up, b/c it looks like we won't be buying a home and moving for awhile now. Still need to pack hospital bags, wash some baby clothes/blankets, clean the pump supplies, and install the car seats.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

I'm trying to minimize anxiety and practice some Zen today, so no ranting allowed haha

Rave: Two more weeks until maternity leave!!

6) GTKY - If you have one, what's your nickname or pet name for baby?

I call him/her Little Fatty and/or Baby Beluga. DH calls him/her Baby Huey, haha. All of them are puns on baby's size. In case anyone doesn't know who Baby Huey is, picture below:

@JuliaGoolia719 Lol me too! It's from the Ovia Pregnancy App. They let you pick which category you want for your size (fruits/objects/animals). No brainer for me, so I picked animals. This one made me laugh really hard.

@gilsam1 Hugs and restful wishes. I've been having some nighttime anxiety... something I struggled with for years, but had REALLY controlled over the past 17 months or so. It's been slowly creeping back, and I'm definitely monitoring it. I think it is so hard to assess our mental health/emotional health with all these hormones, but I think it is ALWAYS great to discuss it.

Anxious. Have had a bit of cramping today. Having a weird struggle with myself where I want to pre for baby but don’t want to do it too soon or all at once? I guess I have this superstition that if I’m super prepared for her she will never come!

3) Any appointments this week/last?

I had a 36 week visit on Monday. Baby is head down still. My OB tells me that the head is in my public area? That’s where he always palpates it anyway? Doesn’t that seem like engaged position to you? I can’t wrap my brain around it although there are times where it feels like she is turning her head (I’m assuming) and my pelvis is like ouchhhhh.

ETA: had GBS swab done and also requested a cervical check. Half cm dilated and starting to efface. Nothing exciting. Weekly appts from here on out!

4) How are baby preparations going?

We are ready enough? Need to install car seat in my car, wash clothes, make Lactation cookie dough for freezer, Amazon registry completion, pack hospital bag. I have everything lined up, it’s just a matter of doing it at this point.

5) Rants/Raves/Questions?

Just my question above about baby’s position. I find it weird that he feels her head that low because I don’t feel like I have a bowling ball between my legs when walking like most women do. Also, I am one of those moms that can’t tell if I’ve dropped or not. With DS everyone else including my OB told me, but I didn’t notice a difference

Also, DS is back to being naughty at bedtime and hasn’t been sleeping great.

Andddd I’m that Mom that sees a stomach bug notice at Daycare and instantly goes into panic mode. Grape juice and activated charcoal cocktail for everyone! Truly, I don’t mind if anyone else gets sick and can take care of them just fine, but please lord, do not let me get the pukes this far into pregnancy.

@jakobaby I am so with you re: confusion over precisely where the baby's head is. The doctor yesterday immediately said, "Oh I feel that hard little head!" and I'm like, OMG, so he must be engaged etc. but she didn't mention that... and also he seems HIGH as F (sorry) half the time too and I haven't "felt" him drop which I slightly remember with DD (could have been wishful thinking). WHERE IS HIS HEAD? And ALSO I see the weirdest body part movements from about three inches below my bellybutton (what remains of it to be seen) and four inches above, usually on the sides. I've concluded it must be his elbows and knees but sometimes it looks like a head to me. I want to see inside, damnit!
