R/R: Rant: It's my long work day and I am still bloated. None of my nice looking clothes fit and I really don't want to meet with a client wearing sweats so I'm super uncomfortable today. Rave: I booked a lot of new clients yesterday! It was a good day.
CS/Q: Any one else have sustained high temps after clomid? Is BBT pointless this cycle?
GTKY: Looking back, this is not the worst gift someone could be given. It is actually a nice gift. But, both of my brothers got cool tents and went "camping" in the backyard with them and I got a big dollhouse. I ended up playing with my dollhouse for months after they lost interest in their tents but on Christmas day I was devastated that my toy wasn't like theirs.

WAYDTGKU: Waking my husband way before he needs to get out of bed based on a line on a piece of plastic I peed on.
R/R: I'm on antibiotics (yay BV for the third time) and side effects are hitting me hard. The worst is this weird taste in my mouth. I'm eating old potato chips in hopes that the saltiness covers it up for a bit. But the salad place near my school finally started making soup, so yay soup for lunch.
CS/Q: Got a positive OPK today! So I shook DH awake and we HIO before I had to run to work. But my whole abdomen feels bruised, and I don't know why. Any ladies have a similar feeling?
GTKY: A tie between cash to buy lingerie or the ex who admitted to me that he had his mom buy my present, which is why it was the antithesis of anything I would wear.
@SkilledSailor I didn't do BBT during this cycle because a) I kept forgetting and b) my doctor pretty much prescribed us a range of days to HIO. I'm also so bloated (salty chips not withstanding). I felt like I was going to lose a button yesterday.

R/R: It is only Wednesday and it feels like it really should be Friday. Those two days away were crazy busy, and I am far from done. Traveling for work bites. And getting AF on the plane home was extra special. This cycle hit me a little hard and I don't even think I processed it yet. And I missed you guys!

GTKY: What's the worst gift you've ever received? I am sure I have received worse, but one year my aunt gave me this gawd awful necklace. big beads, strange colours, offset abstract thing. It was made by some fancy artist, but just not at all my style. I contemplated taking it apart and trying to use some of the individual pieces and couldn't even come up with anything good. It sits in a box in my basement.

R/R: All the rants… This is probably TMI but its TTGP related so here we go. DH and I got in a fight this morning about sex and it’s not the first time. I’ve been having trouble getting and/or staying aroused during sex. When I was on BCP I thought that was the culprit, but I’ve been off them for almost 3 months and it’s still sometimes a problem. It makes me feel like such a failure. Which leads to my question…
CS/Q: Does anybody have a lube recommendation that’s good for TTGP and just in general? DH has always been anti-lube but I’m hoping using it will take some of the pressure off of me because I’m hyper aware of what my body is or isn’t doing during sex.
GTKY: What's the worst gift you've ever received? MIL gave DH and I passport holders one year for Christmas. DH doesn’t even have a passport and neither of us had talked about going anywhere that we would need one.
@skilledsailor I hope you get the go ahead tomorrow! Sorry you’re feeling uncomfortable. There’s nothing like wearing clothes that don’t make you feel good to really mess with your day.

@melbel0824 Ive heard alot of great things about preseed lube. I have not tried yet but definitely thinking about purchasing soon as ive heard alot of women who conceive using it.

@melbel0824 - lots of ladies use pre-seed as a lube, but I hear it's super slippery and you don't need to use much. Helpful especially if you don't produce a lot of CM.

R/R: It's so cold here. I have a nice holiday business luncheon today, so i wore a dress and leggings. But i ride the bus and it felt like 0 out this morning, so i had yoga pants over my tights, snow boots, down coat and a large scarf tied around my face. MH kissed my nose very sweetly when i left since nothing else was available.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: either the nothing present or card from MH for our first wedding anniversary. OR an ugly "I love chocolate" sweatshirt from my uncle and aunt when i was young. First off, i don't love chocolate and second did you just get that because i was chubby? who would wear that? i'm usually pretty good regarding faking thankfulness, but i couldn't on that one--i actually almost cried and my aunt said i was being too sensitive. She and i still don't get along.

@melbel0824 One thing that seemed to help me last cycle was drinking tons of water and drinking a cup of green tea every day while WTO. It seems that preseed works well for a lot of people, but unfortunately my DH said it numbed him. After two times trying it, I Googled and saw a lot of other couples experienced the same thing. I hope it works for you if you do decide to try it!

@darkstar42 Sorry for your neck pain! I get neck pain all the time from my scoliosis and chiari malformation. I have a rice bag that I warm up and drape over my shoulders. It helps a little. But the best is when DH gives me a massage.

GTKY: What's the worst gift you've ever received? I can't think of anything specific at the moment, but I know there have been a few things that I've gotten and then donated right away. One time my aunt re-gifted a wind chime to me. Don't get me wrong I like wind chimes it was just really awkward when I opened the box and there was a little note in it reminding her who had given it to her...if you're going to re-gift be sure to fully inspect the item.
@melbel0824 replying from yesterday, but congrats on successfully peeing in a wrapper...it's the little things. lol others have recommended pre-seed, I've not used it personally but it seems to be favored around these parts.
@eleven_ also replying from yesterday re: opks. my advice use them a couple of times a day and maybe start a little earlier in your cycle so you can really see the progression of the line. This will give you a chance to get the hang of using them and will help you to really see the change in the line. FWIW, my first cycle using them I started on CD9 and got a surprise positive opk. I may try some different times too depending on your schedule/flexibility
@SkilledSailor ugh sorry to hear you're still dealing with the side effects Clomid is one of those drugs with a long half life so it may take a while for them to subside.

@melbel0824 As others have suggested, give preseed a go. It is very watery though. But does the trick. What an odd gift, passport holders.
@kobrien827 The cramps were not pleasant at all. I was extremely cranky when I got off the plane. FX for the raise and enjoy the party.
@kimberbeep Agreed, stay away from buying clothes for someone unless you know exactly what you are doing, or give a gift receipt and expect it to be exchanged.

I’ve actually heard good things about the betabrand yoga work pants. I don’t own any, but friends do and love them. I have a pair of ponte knit pants I got at BJ’s (of all places) and they’re basically like wearing sweatpants to work because of the elastic waistband.

@SkilledSailor, I temped on clomid, my temps were high for longer than expected, and I thought I was bot going to get CH, but both cycles FF was able to show when I ovulated. Hope you start feeling better soon from the side effects.
@skilledsailor So sorry for all the side effects you've been having. Have they decided what they're going to switch you to next cycle if need be? Hopefully the correct ovary is ovulating for you. Good luck on your ultrasound today!
@jsnakehole Clomid made me super bloated and tender. I almost felt like I had the flu like aches everywhere. FX for this to be the only time you'll have to take it!
