- Last night, I was crying because DH and I went to one of the Disney parks (we live in central Florida and are there all the time) and we watched the Star Wars stage show. Why that made me cry, I have no idea.
@dreamscapes_ I don't think all DQs close over winter - ours don't anyways. I know the one in my hometown does though - in fact it's only open May-September!
And I am totally with you ladies on being bummed lurking the BMB - the longer I'm here and see people filter through with no movement from me, the harder it is.

I lived in Japan for a short time and their Baskin Robins had the best ice cream and I called it Christmas ice cream. It was vanilla mint and it had white chocolate covered pop rocks, so the flavor was a warm vanilla combined with cool mint and you'd get the popping from the candy when the white chocolate melted. Like edible sparkles. For some reason it made me think it's what Christmas trees would taste like if they had a flavor.
Thanks, everyone, I really appreciate the support! I’m definitely going to have to run by the store for more ice cream on the way home. Maybe I’ll get DH his own pint since he has to do blood work to check his hormones tomorrow as a follow up (as well as another SA in a couple of weeks to see if this one was a fluke).
@jrm_14, I think all my favorite animals (octopuses, meerkats, capybaras) are challenging to find good gifs of, but I will always appreciate a good cat one!
@wishiwaspreggo, it should be easy to find more, fortunately. It’s the Edy’s slow churned Peppermint, which I then add marshmallows to the top of for additional holiday bliss. I even found peppermint marshmallows this year to make it even better! I’d like to try that Japanese Christmas ice cream sometime, though, that sounds amazing!!!

They have a new flavor ooey gooey chocolate cheesecake. Omg they put whip cream and oreos, Graham cracker crust. It was so good. I had it for lunch because Yolo. I got stopped by 5 coworkers on my way to my desk. It's way better then it looks

@BusinessWife I cannot imagine the anticipation, the waiting, and the letdown. We are all rooting so hard for your next transfer. I, too, find myself sometimes looking back to past months (with a sense of longing, regret, etc) or I find myself dreaming too far in the future, when I really need to be right where I am in the moment. I like this quotation from Mother Teresa and I thought you might enjoy its simplicity/truth: "Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today--let us begin."
AFM, last night I was on the verge of tears because MH would not go out to DQ to buy me a blizzard. Tonight he was sweet enough to bring me a giant peppermint oreo blizzard (yes they exist! ), but of course my TTGP self wanted to cry after I ate it because it has so many calories. Ugh!
I just found out that my health insurance plan flat out does not cover any infertility diagnostics or treatment. I have private, employee provided health insurance too. Man, health care is messed up in the U.S.
@jaylii That is shitty. We are in a similar boat here in too. I think some of the meds would be covered, and potentially some of the blood work. AMH is $110 US, which I can’t even get until I’m with an RE. The system bites. *hugs*
@jaylii - same with me. My insurance is wonderful otherwise but not even a dime can be applied to fertility treatments. My RE is sympathetic towards patient finances so he does what he can to cut costs and reword things so insurance covers some testing. But otherwise we're on our own. It is indeed messed up.
@wishiwaspreggo@nitnat007 Thanks for the support ladies. I've been fine with my insurance up until now. Insurance companies are a load of garbage. My OB has ordered CD3 bloodwork (FSH and LH) for me. It seems that as long as I don't go to an RE, my OB can keep sneaking claims through for now.

The employer says “this is what we want to spend - what can we get?” Or “yes we will cover this and not cover that.”
RESOLVE Infertility has templates on their website to modify to contact your employer to consider adding coverage. The podcast Beat Infertility also has episodes on convincing your employer to add coverage.
eta: it still sucks big nuts to have to advocate for what should be mandatory coverage.
I am crying because my financial coordinator called and left me a message. My insurance has been great so far, but I feel like that can't be good.... and of course she's done at 4PM and I don't get out till at least 4:30PM. :# As if I need one more thing to wonder/worry about and potentially keep me up tonight...
