Spotting and working out

im a fitness instructor and teach a few times a week. I’m currently 5w 6 days and since last Friday notice that I spot brown or light pink after i workout or run. I have modified my workouts and made them less intense and still the spotting and mild annoying cramping. The doctors office said i can still workout but to ease up. Just looking for some reassurance. Has anyone else dealt with this?

  • I had to stop going the gym everyday with my last one. I changed to going 3x a week and mainly did strength training. Cramping can be due to the pelvic floor muscles stretching and will continue to do for the remainder of the pregnancy. I did squats to help with cramping.
  • I have been dealing with this, too. I have called the doctor’s office twice about it. The first nurse said to stop exercising. The second nurse said I need to keep exercising. I don’t know what to do. I’m sorry I can’t give you much of an answer—just wanted you to know you are not alone.
