1. Today DS not only asked “Mommy, come help. Build a bridge. Train tracks.” But went on to say, “All aboard!” after putting the train on the tracks and lining all the cars up. I don’t even know where he learned it but I think it may be time to start watching Thomas the Tank Engine.
2. Now he wants to watch Cars with all his “friends”—15 stuffed animals—and Lightning McQueen. He’s so big today!
3. Just for fun last night, from 8:30-9:30i counted and had 76 kicks from LO. He is constantly kicking me.
4. All I want to eat since last Thursday is pizza. And for the first time in my whole life, I am not a fan of spaghetti. I’ve turned it down four times in the past two weeks now.
5. I love listening to a little toddler voice say his version of all of the Mickey and Friends Characters, count to ten, his colors, and tell me animals and what noises they make. Two is fun. Except when it’s not. lol.
6. I’m about to try spinning babies because I swear this kid is causing my crazy lower back pain and I’m over it.
7. I have so much I should be doing and I haven’t done any of it since I got so uncomfortable last week. I blame the stupid glucola ((I know that’s not rational—I just don’t care.))
8. MH just told me today that he doesn’t have to work from 19 December until 2 January... I’m already plotting the Hiney Do List.
9. I haven’t been to Target in a month... Maybe I should go tomorrow?
10. Both Shih Tzus have been snuggling the crap out of me since my GD test last Wednesday. It’s very sweet and also annoying... it’s hard to turn over at night and I’m always inconveniencing one of them with my 700 trips to the bathroom. Lol!
1. Love feeling baby move so much these days.. 2. 1 1/2 more hours before I can leave work and pick up DD! 3. I Turn 30 next week, and I've never dreaded a birthday more than this one. 4. We're having my favorite soup tonight! Broccoli Cheddar 5. I love love love driving around looking for all the best Christmas lights! 6. My tree is up and decorated! (last year I think it was mid December before we got one up) 7. Cant wait to have friends over tonight that have flown in from Berlin! 8. I have my last wedding of the year to shoot (and until after baby) coming up this Saturday. I'm super nervous about it because lately I've been getting super sore after walks or a few hours of shopping. Hoping I can last for 12 hours shooting a wedding! 9. My in-laws who we were with all yesterday evening came down with the stomach flu last night. Makes me even more nervous about this wedding! Praying it stays away from our family until at least after the weekend if not forever! 10. I really hate this time of year with sicknesses and cold. How many days till spring!?
1. I told my 2yo about red lights and green lights, and now he says, "It's green, Mama, GO!"
2. Work is slow right now which is good because I feel slow right now, but bad because I'd like to be banking extra cash for maternity leave.
3. My kids are getting small things for Christmas because they have everything and frankly really will love just playing in boxes.
4. I went overboard buying for my husband, however. He goes above and beyond for us all the time and really, really REALLY loves presents.
5. My evenings during the week consist of me repeating over and over "take a bite" to my 10 month old, my 2yo, and my shephard, all of whom are possibly the most distractible creatures on the planet.
6. At the same time I am protecting all of their meals from my sneaky chihuahua who eats anything and everything.
7. I did 100 percent of my Christmas shopping online and it is all stuffed in a closet waiting to be wrapped.
8. We are 90 percent sure we've picked our baby name and have been trying it out to see how it feels, which is so fun. Our other kids were team green so we didn't do this. I'm trying not to do it around the kids though so they aren't confused if we go with another name.
9. I have an aunt who has been going online and fighting with internet strangers. She's defending Matt Lauer's honor. I reallllllly want to tell her off and tell her her moral compass is broken.
10. I'm obsessed with current events and politics and I want to shout my opinions from the rooftops. I'm disgusted on an hourly basis and compose speeches in my brain telling people off for their ignorant viewpoints. I can't do that for real, and it makes me sad.

Damn, I just tried quoting #10, but obviously that didn't work...me too about the speech thing. I am desperate for an opportunity to present me previously prepared speeches on certain individuals, but won't, because manners.
2. My husband is out of town this week, which means I'm basically eating like a toddler. I just cannot convince myself that it's worth cooking and cleaning an actual meal for just me. I see Cheerios for dinner in my future!
3. I don't think we're ever going to name this child. There are a few that we both like, but we still haven't necessarily found any that are like "omg! yes! definitely!!"
4. Now I can hear someone else making popcorn... they must have smelled my deliciousness.
5. I'm in charge of my company's angel/giving tree thing where we adopted several kids from a local shelter to buy gifts for Christmas. Tomorrow is the last day to turn everything in, and we are still waiting on 10 people to bring their stuff in. So now I have to send them a *final reminder* email. I love having to treat adults like children.
6. I can't wait to go home and see my dog. She is literally the best thing ever.
7. I'm loving all this baby movement and watching my stomach move around. It's so crazy!
8. I have not even started my Christmas shopping. And by I have not started, I mean I haven't even THOUGHT about ideas for anyone. I'm the worst and have only been focusing on baby purchases.
9. Date night with MH Saturday night and I can't wait!
10. Related to date night, I booked our dinner reservation through Open Table and said we were celebrating a birthday. Not a lie, MH's birthday was a few weeks ago, and we haven't had a chance to celebrate properly yet. Definitely hoping for some free cake though.
@stlbuckeye132 I eat like a child whenever my husband isn't home. Yogurt or plain rice or butternut squash (or, on one occasion, brown sugar ALONE) qualifies as a solo dinner. I'm not usually hungry at dinner time anyway. A good excuse! (And I hope you get free cake on Saturday)
1. DW and I made stuffed peppers together tonight. Been forever since we've cooked together, it was really nice, if tricky in our tiny galley kitchen. I think I know why its been so long since this has happened, haha.
2. DW recently got to feel what I've been referring to as this baby's "dance parties". She was mildly horrified. I felt vindicated in my complaints about this child kicking my butt. We are now both joking about how, instead of a mobile over the crib, we'll get her a tiny punching bag instead.
3. Its been over a month since my mom said that her gift for the baby would be paying for a family friend to handle the nursery work for us (refinishing the floor and painting, he's a professional handyman), and so far all I've heard from her on the subject was that she'd mentioned it to him. I ordered my bassinet ahead of time to help stress less about the major possibility that mom's uhm... planning skills... result in the room not being done until after the baby's born (and like, I really appreciate her offer, but with all the other stresses going on I'd almost rather she did something else than leave me to rely on her idea of a reasonable timeline, but financially this isn't something I can turn down).
4. I am way too excited about the cheesecake I'm going to have for dessert.
5. Daycare costs are absolutely ridiculous. Like, I knew they were bad, but it seems so much worse now that I have actual rates from the local daycares to look at. No wonder most of my friends with kids have one parent stay home. Maybe its worse because I'm out in Suburbia IL, but these look more like extortion than anything else.
6. While I may not generally have much problem with pregnancy brain, I did just have to triple-check that I was counting to ten correctly. Some days, man.
7. Kinda wishing this kid would stop jamming her skull into my pelvis. Feels super weird.
8. A work friend today said that I "finally really look pregnant!". She meant it nicely, but mostly I was thinking "why yes, my belly growth did finally outpace my boob growth! Thank you for noticing!".
9. This weekend I learned that being the sober one at a party can be pretty amusing with the right group. The communal youtube queue that I kept adding really weird things to may have helped.
10. I really appreciate my friends, especially right now. Just, good people.
1. The two fur babies know something is up. I can't do anything or go anywhere in my home without 8 paws following me.
2. I've decided this baby boy will be unnamed until I set eyes on him. DH and I just can't agree on ANY names.
3. My Christmas tree is giving me major nostalgia. Kinda makes me miss being a kid around the holidays.
4. MIL is coming down for our baby shower and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I love her but I feel like she's only coming down to steal some of the spotlight from my mom. Ugh.
5. Bras are unnecessary in my life after I get home.
6. Underwear too after dark
7. DH and I are planning our ten year anniversary trip for June 18. And yes LO will be there
8. There are lights out on my garland on my stairs. I hope Santa doesn't notice lol
9. I could go for some spaghetti right now. @mdfarmchick if you have to turn some down soon pass it towards TX.
10. I'm secretly hoping to get a new laptop for Christmas. I think I'm getting a Rumba. I'll take it though
@calecorvus I literally lol’d at you checking your counting skills and then was like, crap, did I count right??
@cford08 You may have all my spaghetti but you must come to Nevada because I promised myself no more flights this pregnancy. But tonight we had lasagna. Lol. Also, I completely understand you about the eight paws everywhere, except mine must be touching me as well.
1. My 2year old was so excited when he woke up from his nap & I had come home early to work from home. He wouldn’t stop hugging me & saying mommy’s home (heart melted)
2. My toddler is now repeating EVERYTHING, he has dropped the f bomb and said shit in the last 2 Days. Parents of the year over here
3. There are crazy fires down here in So Cal. I hope everyone is ok.
4. On that note...it’s nice that I get to work from home cause the fire smell was so strong in our office.,. I feel bad for being happy about that
5. I need to finish Christmas shopping, but am being a procrastinator
6. Since reading the randoms thread, I am now thinking about transitioning my son to a big boy bed, but that terrifies me
7. I think my baby is a little karate kid...super active & I love it
8. I’m having some serious back pain going on & cant get comfortable
9. I can’t wait for maternity leave...so over my job right now
10. Excited to be going to Disneyland and Santa Barbara next weekend
1. I have ALL my Christmas shopping done! 2. I am stressing a wee bit about finding childcare. Hoping to hear back today from a our first choice if she will be able to accommodate us in June. I will be super bummed if she can't. 3. I get to see my sister this weekend. Her in laws coincidentally live in our area, which is 7 hours from both mine and my husbands family. 4. My new favorite meal is grilled chicken, pesto and zoodles. 5. I am wearing my first maternity shirt today, even though I could have just worn my regular black V neck, but I just wanted to. 6. I need to find a cute maternity dress for my work Christmas party next weekend. I hate shopping. 7. I can't live without gum 8. I am getting sooo excited for our babymoon to CO right after Christmas, but also have so much to do before we leave. 9. This little boy is constantly moving and getting so big that when he kicks/punches I can see it on both sides of my stomach now(especially since he likes to lay completely sideways). 10. I am very thankful I have an awesome boss that does not micromanage.
