We have a friend who is an aspiring photographer who said he is going to do Christmas card mini sessions for $50 said he would come over to take our photos for our cards. This was like weeks before Thanksgiving and I said can you do the first weekend in Dec? the 2nd or 3rd? And he said he could come over Sunday in the afternoon. Perfect!
On Friday I text him like "hey, what time on Sunday works for you?" He said that his whole family got the flu so he couldn't come. For some reason I feel like that is an excuse. His wife is a huge complainer and would take any opportunity to text me like "FML! Woe is me" and I heard nothing from her.
He said he can do it next weekend but the cards I want from Zazzle are 70% off today! UGH!

DH has apparently been feeling sick for three days and didn’t decide to tell me until yesterday afternoon. Thanks dude. I could have been loading DS and I up on elderberry for days now. And of course, poor DS woke up crazy congested this morning. Ugh.
My mom treats my kids differently. She ignores my son, and dotes on my daughter. We don't live near her, so it's not so noticeable to them, but it pisses me off. My kids are young, 4 and 2, so they don't notice yet but we adults can tell and it's so obvious. I'm going to have to talk to her about it and it's going to cause drama and I'm just dreading it.
Dying impatiently waiting for my Panarama results to come back. I check the portal hourly and I’ve called the office (for a different reason- but was hoping they’d conveniently mention they had the results back already lol) once today. Blah. We had abnormalities with my daughter so I’m nervous for that- praying for none with this little one and of course, anxious to find out the sex! I’m off today and was hoping to find out on my day off rather than just get a call at work since I work the rest of the week. I know.. first world problems.
i'm just here bitching that work is busy. and I have to go in tomorrow for the whole day, which will mean i'll be ridiculously behind on here when I get home. boo!

Met one of my friends and her daughter for lunch today and DD was CRaZY! Like, spreading mayonnaise all over the window beside our table, crazy. Toddlers, y’all. Toddlers. But I came out of it winning because I used it as an excuse to treat myself to a latte.
Add me to the sick kid train. I had to pick him up from daycare this afternoon because he had a fever, and now that he can't go back to tomorrow, my H and I are trying to figure out how to juggle our schedules so we can both get to important meetings. I feel like this kid has been sick CONSTANTLY since he started daycare in September, and I have missed so, so much work. I'm lucky that I can do a lot of my work from home, but it's hard to get much done when you have a feverish kiddo draped across your body at all times. Argh.

@sunshineandwhiskey ~ its an amazing immune booster. You can buy (or make) syrup. They also sell gummies. It is a good thing to do daily. But let’s be honest, I can hardly remember to brush my teeth daily. But anytime any of us are feeling under the weather, I load everyone up. It helps prevent/shorten illnesses. I’ve noticed a big difference since using it. Check it out
I realized today that the freshmen research papers that are being done between the social studies teacher, science teacher, and me were scheduled to be returned today and not next Monday. The other teachers weren't done either, so I felt a bit better. Then, the students told me I actually had an excuse because I have kids, but the other teachers should be done. I giggled on the inside at that.
@sunshineandwhiskey ~ babies can have it - you just want to watch which brand you buy/recipe you make if you are giving it to a baby under 1, because at that point you want one that is not made with honey. And follow the dosing guidelines.
The brand I like is Gaia and they have a kids line - that’s what I’ve been giving to DS since after he stopped nursing (since when he wasn’t nursing he was getting the benefits of me taking it). I take the adult version of the same brand. I also like the Zarbees gummies
My mom always gave me elderberry stuff when I was little (hippie dippie parents), and I will say that I haaaate the taste of it. HATE! I have oddly (if you've tasted it you know why it's odd that I like this) always preferred astragalus over elderberry.
@BurlapandLace I love elderberry! I swear no sickness has turned into anything major since I started using it periodically when I feel the start of symptoms, few years ago.
However, it didn't even dawn on me that it may potentially be safe when pregnant since all herbal stuff is usually nixed. I just automatically crossed it out in my mind as something now off limits.

This is great, if so, headed into cold season!
