I had to throw up this morning and DH was in our bathroom. I used DS's bathroom and he came in and said "Mommy, I don't like you throwing up in my potty. You need to use your own potty for that." I was cracking up!
Headaches are back, boo. BUT this is the final stretch for DH's class (he's an instructor). He has to work all weekend, but he's taking Thursday off so we can do some awesome stuff. Next week should be easy, and then it's break!
I have been so absent here lately! Work has been killing me, our kitchen reno is almost done (so now I get to unpack and reload an entire kitchen plus clean all the other rooms we've destroyed in the process) and somehow decorate for Christmas. I'm glad first tri is over because I am le tired.
I get in a rhythm of clicking on a certain link to get to the May boards and at the beginning of each month when the site removes an old board and adds a new one, I always end up in June's board and I'm like why doesn't anyone here look familiar?!?! LOL!
Facebook keeps advertising a kangaroo hoodie from Kaboodle. It can be a baby carrier and it's so cute. But it's $60 on sale - usually $100) and I really don't want to spend that much on something I'll use for such a short time. The carrier part looks like it would only work for a tiny newborn and it's a fleece so not good for May. So I guess there's actually no reason to get it but it looks cute.
It's my birthday and I have to leave early to go get the toddler and take him to the pediatrician for a fever that had miraculously gone away this morning and is back today
I FINALLY HAVE A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT!!!! The 19th. Now to keep myself from freaking out between now and then because even though everything I’m freaking out about is normal, it’s still freaking me out...
I also bought cookie dough today... Amd I’ve developed a random craving for green chilies, so that’s going in our Mac and cheese for lunch. J likes spicy, so I don’t have to worry about that.
@mileswithmyles sorry you’re still pukey... That’s too funny though!
@cups4 why did children’s illness work this way??? So frustrating when trying to plan life!
@zizzabell523 I’m more annoyed on mobile right now with them adding a food tab on the more spot so I have to click the middle option instead of the bottom, and someone mentioned the back button last week but I’m ready to break this app over it...
@nanifrog I don’t even own a decent coat living in Florida, so I’d definitely not consider buying one. (They are super cute though)
im so sick of people telling me I don’t look pregnant. I came back to work today after being off and broke out the fitted maternity clothes, not just the super baggy clothes I had been wearing... I just got over being self-conscious thinking I finally DID look pregnant, and not just like I gained a bunch of weight from thanksgiving... but now I just want to go home and put on a moomoo...
@holli0801 That's all I hear too. It's like some people think the minute you get pregnant your belly just appears with a huge baby in it. The other day I was looking at a house and it came up on conversation with the man showing it to me that we would be having a newborn in the house and he looked so confused. Then his jaw practically dropped to the floor and was like wait you're pregnant??? I'm not sure what part of that was so hard to believe....
@holli0801 and @rachelg777 that sounds frustrating. On my end I keep getting told that I look huge, and I’m obviously pregnant, when I still haven’t gotten into maternity clothes, and I haven’t gained weight on the scale yet. So that’s just fat you’re commenting on from before conception, so thanks! /eyeroll
Ok I need advice. So I am scheduled for a fetal echo-cardiogram as part of the work-up in FL the last week of Dec. My MFM wants me to get an echo and referred me to a place here. I called the MFM office just now and asked if I needed to do both or could just do the one in FL. The nurse came back on to tell me the doctor said she thinks it's too early for me to be going to FL already and that she might still want me to do one here. Would you just do one or do both? Insurance covers if there is a pre-auth and if it's medically necessary. If they are too close together I am afraid insurance would try to deny one as not being necessary. But they want me to go ahead and call the one here to make an appt because they apparently fill up fast and said I could cancel later. What would you do?
I’d call the insurance and clarify what they will cover. If you get pre auth for them both you are okay, but I wouldn’t want to get stuck with that bill!
Remind me why why they were sending you to Florida in the first place? If you can get the same test done locally, why was the referral made to Florida originally?
@holli0801 They didn't refer me to FL. I decided to go on my own because that's where I found the CDH specialist. They want to do tests there themselves regardless, so I would rather do them there if that is where I will deliver.
@cups4, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! @ivyvines6, same! I posted my first bump pic on FB yesterday for 16 weeks. I was at the gym and busting out of my tank top and the trainer and I couldn't stop laughing about it, so I posted my big bump. Someone asked "sure it's only 1 this time?" Yup, thanks for dik for making a pregnant woman feel bad about her baby bump. My baby needs to grow big and strong so I don't care how big I look to others. @sparklingdiamond I would call and see what insurance says and schedule both for now until you get answers. If it were me and I needed to decide between the two, I'd go to FL with the specialists. With the way technology is, they'll be able to send a full report to your doctors back home. I would always opt for the specialist.
AFM- TB is still being super bonky on my phone and I am losing my mind! I do not have much time to pull out a laptop during the day to check in.
I did speak with my insurance and all they said was it seems like it would be covered if it was pre-authed and was medically necessary. They said it didn't say anything about limit on the number I could get or anything like that.
@holli0801 I have to do it in FL regardless, which is why I lean more towards doing it there. They want all the testing done there even if I have already had the tests. So I am currently scheduled for four different appts when I go the 26-27.
@cups4 Happy Birthday!! @ivyvines6 So happy to hear you have an appointment.
We had our second doctors appointment today, my husband went with and we waited an hour to be seen. I told him we'd be out in 15 minutes...an hour and 15 minutes later we leave. All worth it to hear this baby's heartbeat again! We then proceeded to Christmas shop and grocery shop afterwards. He loves me.
Hi yall still alive over here. 15lbs lighter that I didn’t have to lose but I ate food the past 3 days and it was glorious! Still on Zofran, Phenergan and Diglecis but I’m semi human.
@holli0801 and @rachelg777 that sounds frustrating. That’s so annoying. Being pregnant does not give people carte blanche to comment on people’s bodies!

@sparklingdiamond I'm glad your insurance looks like they will cover both! I agree that if it was only one, the FL specialist is the way to go.
