Re acu: mine was weird. Not exactly what I expected???? Only about 10-15 minutes with the lasers before and after, right there in the transfer room, for a whopping $200 OOP. Has anyone else tried this???
AFM. At least my insurance shouldn't be an issue moving forward. Got a message from my nurse today that the auth came through for our next cycle....
@BusinessWife a little bit of good news to end the week. I’m glad for you.
Also, lasers?

Yet! Congrats @laurad75! Have a great weekend! Our PUPO club is growing! Afm, I have mixed feelings this transfer. So they gave me a picture of the thawed blast we transferred and it does not look anything like the fresh one from last time because it is not fully extended post thaw yet. Embryologist told me that it is perfectly normal for a frozen transfer but I am still nervous and upset. Also my RE thinks that my previous CP could be actually EP because I am high risk with my tubal infertility diagnosis. So now I am freaking out that this embie will go into the tube again! And I feel nothing - no cramping, no twinges - zero. Nothing like my fresh transfer when I was cramping 12 hours after already. So I am a mess, it will be a long 10 days till beta...

I am just waiting for CD1 to call the clinic. I was hoping it would be today, and then go in for cd3 labs Monday. I would imagine I could get a better idea of transfer date once I report cd1... But should be before Christmas, I would think. The best guess I have in my head I'm hoping for is 12/20, so we'll see. Either way, here's to enjoying a very merry PASP holiday! :D
@BusinessWife eee! If your FET is on 12/20, you’d be just a few days after me. We could deal with the TWW together I hope CD1 starts soon!

@BusinessWife glad you got your authorization for the next cycle. I’ve never heard of lasers acupuncture before! I think its great you will be able to get your transfer in before Christmas. Everything crossed for you that December is your month!
@DecemberDoll27 there is really so little that can be told from the look of the embryo or even the grading of the embryo. It’s what’s inside that counts. It’s pretty much impossible not to be stressed and upset during this process I get it and I think we are all guilty of looking for pregnancy signs when we are all on so many drugs its pretty impossible to know which way is up. Don’t count yourself out too soon.

I’ll be going in on Tuesday to check it again and just keeping everything crossed that things double. No more HPTs for me. They have made me crazy.

Hi everybody, This is my first time posting in the forum (in any forum to be honest). I guess it is difficult for me to share my troubles but I am now at the point that I feel it is difficult to continue by my own. My DH is supportive but he is not the talking type either, so here I am. I live in Finland so the treatments may vary from many of you. We are dealing with low sperm morphology and started treatment in November 2015. The doctor was so confident in the first meeting that I thought we will have one try and everything will be set. I was even considering the second baby before starting the process. However, it didn't go as I expected. I have had three failed attempts and this month we are going to try our chance for the fourth time. The hospital still believes everything is normal and they won't look into why we have failed so far before the 5th attempt. But this not knowing and not being in control is killing and frustrating. I am scheduled for my third FET on Friday 8th of December and I cannot even start to explain how I feel. The emotions are all over the place. I cross my fingers for a BFP but I feel nervous and frightened at the same time. Sorry for too much blah blah. We should stay positive after all, I guess.
Me, 36 & DH, 47 TTC since October 2013, male infertility - low morphology IVF #1: ICSI, November 2015, 21 egg, 8 fertilised, 3 matured (3 day embryos): fresh transfer : BFN FET #1 (May 2016), miscarriage (6 weeks) IVF # 2 ICSI, November 2016, 21 egg, 11 fertilised,11 matured (3 day embryos): fresh cycle canceled due to OHSS FET #2 October 2017, BFN FET #3 December 2017
@saba23 welcome to the club! I am glad you joined because this group of ladies literally helps me keep my sanity! I am sorry you went through so many attempts, IF is heartbreaking! May I ask what kind of testing/ previous protocols you went through ( you don't have to answer ) ? We will all cheer you on for your FET on Friday and let's hope this will finally be your Christmas miracle! And I think we can all relate to the mixed feelings of fright and anxiety before every attempt. You are not alone!

@DecemberDoll27 Nothing interesting at all. I don't really feel anything but I'm still very hopeful that this is going to work and so I'm focused on making the next week or so go by quickly. I'm taking a mental health day from work and planning to go for a walk and then maybe get a manicure.
I found it interesting that my clinic gave me no restrictions with the exception of alcohol and high impact exercise. I thought that I would get a bunch of rules but nothing. I told my husband I didn't want to have sex for a couple of days but my paperwork clearly says no restrictions on that either. So weird that different clinics have such different views on things like that.

@DecemberDoll27 Thanks for your kind message and the encouragement. We had only normal tests (if I remember correctly) before IVF, for me it was FSH, LH, PRL and TSH (all normal) and for my husband it was motility, morphology, sperm count, etc. (all normal except morphology which was 0%). I had shrort protocol in both rounds of IVF (Gonal F, Ganirelix and Gonapeptyl). For my FET cycle, my hospital only does natural FET for women with regular cycle and the only medication is progesterone suppositories.

@JamieH2000, @DecemberDoll27, @msd1001, @laurad75 thank you
all for the congrats. I’m…well I’m tied
up in knots. DW is very excited and I am
very much not responding how I expected to respond. I’m really hoping Tuesday brings me good news
of doubling and then I’m hoping I can breathe again.
@DecemberDoll27 I think we are all guilty of trying to
symptom spot but in reality it’s pretty impossible to know and even if you
could every pregnancy is different so you might not be able to tell with this
particular little embryo. FX for you.
@msd1001 I always have super problems with sore boobs. I could not be without a bra having no
support or protection from evil things like moving shirts has been terrible for me during treatments. I got
some of these “pajama bras” they are like less restrictive sports bras and wear
those at night and it helps at ton!
Pretty much all the big box stores have them.
Welcome @saba23.
I’m sorry you are here but happy you have found this great group for
support. I think we all going into this
thinking oh yeah a couple of drugs and bam I’m going to have all the babies I
want! And for most of us things don’t work
our that easily. I was looking ever your
signature and story and it sounds like you have already been through a
lot. Staying positive is always easier
said than done and we are here to cheer you on when you can’t do it
yourself. Are you going to be transferring
1 or 2 embryos? (Hugs and welcome)

@2MomsHoping okay thank you I feel better I’m not the only one ! My breast are so tender I’ll try to wear a light sports bra that’ll help .
@DecemberDoll27 when I did my ivf cycle last month though our fresh transfer was cancelled my breast weren’t this tender. It’s crazy how our bodies react from cycle to cycle.
My FET is first thing tomorrow morning . This is my first ever so I’m very anxious but also worried like we all do that it won’t work. Does anyone have good suggestions for the TWW ? I’m taking off tomorrow and the next day from work .
@msd1001 Everybody deals with TWW differently. It helps to find a good show to binge watch preferably where nobody ever gets pg or has small kids. Getting a new hobby could be a good idea as well. This TWW I am concentrating on Christmas decorations and also I am planning to bake ridiculous amount of cookies to give to people as small gifts. ( I already purchased 75$ worth of cookie cutters, boxes, ribbons, all kinds of sprinkles and other useless stuff to make cookies of all shapes and flavors! DH thinks I am nuts but I find baking and packing cute gifts very therapeutic) Keeping busy at work helps but it depends on your job. And the most important part is to stay away from Google!

@2MomsHoping CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy for you. Crossing my fingers for a great 2nd beta tomorrow. @msd1001 It's really interesting how different clinics have such different FET protocols. I'm on IM Progesterone once daily, azithromycin, Prednisone and IM Estrogen twice weekly. And my boobs are also killing me. Good luck on your transfer tomorrow. It looks like we'll be transfer buddies! @saba23 Welcome!! It sounds like you've been through a lot. This board has been a lifesaver for me when I was feeling low and when I was feeling that noone around me understood what all of this is like. @latvaughanash Congrats on transfer yesterday!! @JamieH2000 Yay for Friday transfer! This is going to be an exciting couple of weeks.

@2momshoping yay I am so so happy for you ER buddy, I had a feeling this was going to be your cycle, good luck on beta tomorrow!
@businesswife I completely understand your need to move forward, while still grieving the last cycle, I did that back to back in January and February and found it was the easiest way to let go and honestly move on. Just my personality I guess, I had a tougher time in May, when that one was a BFN and I had to wait to do the next one until October, that way really had me dwelling on the failures. I hope you're coping alright and trying to regain your amazing optimism for this next transfer. If you're still looking at the 20th or around there, we are very close cycle buddies!
@decemberdoll27 and @latvaughanash congrats on being PUPO and PASP, the TWW can definitely be brutal, but one day at a time and try and stay positive and when you're having a hard time we're always here to support and encourage.
@laurad75 so excited for you to have had your transfer, how many embryos did you end up with from this amazing cycle (if you don't mind me asking of course).
Can't believe we are only going to be five days into the month tomorrow and already have 6 transfers this month?
and 2 more on Friday already too! @saba23 welcome and good luck on your FET on Friday!
@JamieH2000 I have been following your story, and have admred your patience and courage through the ups and downs of the rollercoaster of the past 6 months, I am so thrilled for you to finally be secured for your transfer this finally and honestly pray that this is it for you, your Christmas miracle at the end of what I can only imagine has been a very difficult and trying year. Your positivity and support for everyone around you is also inspiring!
Hope I didn't forget anybody, but I had quite a bit of catching up to do. It's been a long few days for me, I'm still getting over this awful virus, first I thought it was simply a cold or mild flu, but it ended up turning into a sinus infection (I started antibiotics on Friday) and now bronchitis, which unfortunately can last quite awhile. Meanwhile, I have my final for my graduate class this Thursday and continue to work as I can't afford to take time off around the holidays and need to save my sick/vacation time for IF related days. Luckily I went to the doctor today and she gave me a nebulizer and some cough medicine to help me sleep so hopefully with some rest my body will be able to recover. And of course I continue to trek on preparing for this FET. I had my first estrogen check today and my nurse said it's perfect and I can double my dose, next check will be Friday. I did of course inform her I was sick and questioned if this could affect the transfer, especially since I am on 10 days of antibiotics and now have bronchitis which can linger, but she said that since we are still 2+ weeks away from transfer we should be fine. FET still scheduled for 12/20, which seems so close yet so far away.
Excited to hear everyone's updates over the next couple of weeks.
@radmom27 I know I find it so interesting too, are they different protocols particular to each patient or do they use the same protocols for everyone ? I wonder ! Excited we will be transfer buddies !
Re: December FET
Re acu: mine was weird. Not exactly what I expected???? Only about 10-15 minutes with the lasers before and after, right there in the transfer room, for a whopping $200 OOP. Has anyone else tried this???
AFM. At least my insurance shouldn't be an issue moving forward. Got a message from my nurse today that the auth came through for our next cycle....

@DecemberDoll27 After watching videos of how the embryos change so quickly, I wouldn't worry about it not being fully extended yet. It's like this amazing time-lapse miracle that happens before your eyes. (Or before a microscope's "eyes" I suppose.)

@BusinessWife glad you got your authorization for the next cycle. I’ve never heard of lasers acupuncture before! I think its great you will be able to get your transfer in before Christmas. Everything crossed for you that December is your month!
@laurad75 congrats on being PUPO/PASP!!!

@laurad75 how are you feeling being PUPO? Anything interesting yet?
Afm, it is a rollercoaster here, one minute I am totally positive and 5 minutes later I am planning my next FET already. No symptoms this time around, not even from progesterone. Last time I had it all and this time - nothing, even though I am on PIO and vaginal tablets. Only thing I have is crazy vivid dreams, it is kind of fun to go to bed now! I had super powers and saved my co-workers from terrorists last night! That was a crazy fun/scary dream!

What is everyone’s FET protocol ? I’m one 2 estradiol patches every 2 days with prometrium vaginal suppositories 3 x daily . I have to say my boobs are soooo swollen and they hurt ! Does anyone else suffer from this ?

This is my first time posting in the forum (in any forum to be honest).

@JamieH2000, @DecemberDoll27, @msd1001, @laurad75 thank you all for the congrats. I’m…well I’m tied up in knots. DW is very excited and I am very much not responding how I expected to respond. I’m really hoping Tuesday brings me good news of doubling and then I’m hoping I can breathe again.
@DecemberDoll27 I think we are all guilty of trying to symptom spot but in reality it’s pretty impossible to know and even if you could every pregnancy is different so you might not be able to tell with this particular little embryo. FX for you.
@msd1001 I always have super problems with sore boobs. I could not be without a bra having no support or protection from evil things like moving shirts has been terrible for me during treatments. I got some of these “pajama bras” they are like less restrictive sports bras and wear those at night and it helps at ton! Pretty much all the big box stores have them.
Welcome @saba23. I’m sorry you are here but happy you have found this great group for support. I think we all going into this thinking oh yeah a couple of drugs and bam I’m going to have all the babies I want! And for most of us things don’t work our that easily. I was looking ever your signature and story and it sounds like you have already been through a lot. Staying positive is always easier said than done and we are here to cheer you on when you can’t do it yourself. Are you going to be transferring 1 or 2 embryos? @DecemberDoll27 when I did my ivf cycle last month though our fresh transfer was cancelled my breast weren’t this tender. It’s crazy how our bodies react from cycle to cycle.
My FET is first thing tomorrow morning . This is my first ever so I’m very anxious but also worried like we all do that it won’t work. Does anyone have good suggestions for the TWW ? I’m taking off tomorrow and the next day from work .

@JamieH2000 Yay for Friday!! Your progesterone is amazing!
@latvaughanash Congrats on transfer yesterday!!

@radmom27 and @msd1001 good luck at your transfers tomorrow!
