1. How far along are you? How big is baby? 22 wks, size of a coconut
2. How are you feeling lately? Feeling really good except I'm getting big enough now the back pain is officially starting. I've been sleeping in the couch the last week which seems to help.
3. Any appointments coming up? Not until Dec 18. Seems so far away!!
4.Rants/Raves/Questions? Not much, but @julzy posted about itchy hands and feet on weekly random and @lindsye commented back with a terrifying article about cholestasis. I've had itchiness, but mine hasn't been severe or persistent, just occasional so I'm debating calling my OB. I don't have any other symptoms and even that (itching) didn't seem to match...trying not to let my anxious brain get the best of me, but also want to make sure my LO is taken care of...thoughts?
5. GTKY: How far along is your nursery? What do you still have to complete? We have new windows in, but that is it. It needs painted and carpet torn up. Luckily we did find there is a GORGEOUS hardwood floor under the gross carpet so we are planning to refinish it, but it seems like baby is fast approaching, but progress is very slow.
1. How far along are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks, Endive (Random thought: I don't think I've ever eaten endive...) 2. How are you feeling lately? Out of breath all the time! Other than that, mostly back to normal-ish. 3. Any appointments coming up? Dec 12, Glucose test 4.Rants/Raves/Questions? Has anyone else noticed changes to their hair? Mine seems more wavy and out of control lately, I wasn't sure if that was related... or maybe I just need a haircut. 5. GTKY: How far along is your nursery? What do you still have to complete? I have the crib on back order, dresser is un-assembled but in the room, I vacuumed the other day. It needs painting, previous owners did a super bad crafty paint job so that needs to go. Sooooo... we pretty much need to do all of it. @ftm_ohio finding the hardwood is so lucky! It might be nice to do a thread with the nurseries soon - before and after or something. Edit: Pregnancy-brain is on full effect today... I am 22 weeks duh, size of a coconut
@ftm_ohio I'm not familiar with cholestasis, but if you feel the itching is extreme a call to your OB can't hurt. On a positive note, bonus about the hardwood floors!
@sarahkate2233 I don't think I've ever had endive either... My hair seems to be falling out less daily, but that's it.
1. How far along are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks, endive 2. How are you feeling lately? I think a little more human. I get exhausted quickly which is frustrating when trying to do anything productive around here. 3. Any appointments coming up? Not for a couple weeks. 4.Rants/Raves/Questions? Today Santa's elves brought DS his advent calendar. Even though I tried prepping him for a couple days, trying to explain to a 3 year old that he cannot open ALL the doors on day one did not go over well. 5. GTKY: How far along is your nursery? What do you still have to complete? Ughhhhhh. Nothing. So we have to clean out one spare room in order to move the furniture from the future nursery into there. Then paint and re-carpet future nursery. Then move DS's furniture over to the nursery and finally get DS a new bed, etc.
@ftm_ohio he actually does not care for chocolate (weirdo!) So, as this is his last Christmas as an only child, I decided to spoil him with a Paw Patrol toy/figurine calendar. It makes a Christmas scene at the end with all the characters and accessories.
@sapphires-and-diamonds the advent calendar sounds so cute! I remember having a hard time with not opening them all too, I may still not be able to do it
@ftm_ohio we all will eventually get there, right? I have hope ours will be done by Feb.
1. How far along are you? How big is baby? 23 weeks, size of a grapefruit or mango (?)
2. How are you feeling lately? Good. I have felt baby moving every day this week, which is exciting, but I also gained more weight through the holiday than I would have liked. I really want to get back to my workout, but have been super busy with our small business trying to get ready for our local holiday craft fair. I've been working on drinking more water and it has helped with the BH contractions, which is nice.
3. Any appointments coming up? I had appts this week, so not again until right before Christmas.
4.Rants/Raves/Questions? I ordered our newborn cloth diaper stash and an assortment of larger sizes this week! This was my first purchase for the baby (and a big one at that), so it's making things feel more real Edited to add rave: it's December! The rule at our house is no Christmas stuff before December 1st, so I'll come home today to a Christmas tree waiting for me! We get to decorate, and listen to Christmas music and all that good stuff. Also, I ordered my yearly supply of novelty Christmas CDs, and can't wait for them to get here!
5. GTKY: How far along is your nursery? What do you still have to complete? We don't have a nursery room, but we have a part of the house that we will use for it. I've cleaned out most of the stuff that used to live there, and we got (and assembled) a futon frame to go there, which is where I will be sleeping/bf'ing, but that's it so far. My MIL is threatening to take us to IKEA , so I'd imagine we'll get a dresser there, and add various baby supplies as they come in.

@ftm_ohio I have definitely had some itchy spells, but not the bottoms of my feet, and not too severe - turned out to just be dry/stretching skin, so moisturizing did the trick for me. @sarahkate2233 Out of breath here too! We went for a walk/hike with friends over Thanksgiving and I was pathetically far behind the whole time. @sapphires-and-diamonds Now that I think about it, it seems like less of my hair is falling out too...

@hedgepig it was beautiful out here the other day so I decided to go for a walk with DS in his stroller. I took my usual route and it was pathetic. I came home and laid on the floor gasping for breath and sweating profusely haha
1. How far along are you? How big is baby? 21 weeks--endive?! According to our scan yesterday, he's exactly 14 oz.
2. How are you feeling lately? Feeling pretty good and feeling lots of movement, especially after I eat. I love it!
3. Any appointments coming up? Had our anatomy scan yesterday and it was perfect--I was so relieved and happy, and DH even got a little teared up. Next appt isn't until after New Years.
4.Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: Ya'll. I love my husband, but he's had a "man cold" since Wednesday, and if it doesn't kill him, I just might. He was home all day Wednesday, and I got home from work and he hadn't even managed to empty the dishwasher. Dude, I know you don't feel well, but unless your arms have been amputated you can put the damn plates and forks away! He is such a wimp when he's sick! Ugh!! I can't handle it! Lol!
5. GTKY: How far along is your nursery? What do you still have to complete? We sold all the furniture that was in there, and we are having the carpet cleaned in a couple weeks. Luckily it didn't need to be painted, so I just need to get on the ball with getting the furniture ordered and other decor stuff!
@sapphires-and-diamonds I've noticed a lot of "sprouting" near my hairline. Just a lot of little wispy fly ways no longer than a couple inches. Not attractive lol!
@ftm_ohio I know it's easier said than done, but I wouldn't worry too much about th itching. From what I understand, cholestasis goes far beyond the normal itching of stretching/dry skin--like you'd really know something wasn't right. It's still worth mentioning to your doc, if anything to give you peace of mind--priceless for us nervous first timers I've been meaning to ask you what part of Ohio you're in, if you don't mind sharing ( pm me if that's better). I don't think there are any other Ky moms on this board, so you might be the closest one to me! Plus I have some extended family in the Dayton/Tipp City area.
@sapphires-and-diamonds that sounds really cute and I'd take it as a good thing he doesn't like chocolate!
@sarahkate2233 I think we will get there I have faith in all of us, but it's a little struggle haha!
@hedgepig glad to see you back! Missed you last week! Awesome that you've been feeling baby!!
What kind of crafts do you make with your business?? We have the same rule in our house, so we are going to get a tree in the morning! So exciting!
@mcg920 so glad to hear everything went well with your A/S! Sorry about your DH, I know it's a big stereotype that men are super sissies when they are sick, but I'm that person when I'm sick.
I spent the day convincing myself that it's not that big of a deal and I didn't end up calling my OB. I'm officially just being paranoid. I'm in Southeast Ohio, I'll PM you!
@ftm_ohio MH and I took over the family business from my parents a couple of years ago - we make candles! It's very small, but nice to have a tiny bit of extra income

@sapphires-and-diamonds that's really funny about your son haha! Is it a chocolate advent? If so I can't blame him.
Agreed about less hair falling out (which for me out had always seemed to be a ton)!
You are both making me feel a lot better about how much we have left to do in our nursery!
@ftm_ohio we all will eventually get there, right? I have hope ours will be done by Feb.
