Re: Due date check in 11/27 (week of Dec 10-16)
This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that? slightly panicked. We did make some progress on the to-do list, but I do not feel ready! Whereas with DD, as soon as I hit early term, I was like, "Come anytime! Let's go!"
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared? Finishing touches on the nursery (hanging pictures, securing the furniture to the walls), and some things I want to do with DH and DD before it is no longer just the 3 of us
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? I have one this week and we get an ultrasound, so DH is coming with me. Excited to see baby and talk to my doc about the c-section.
Rants/Raves? DD has at least 3 molars coming in, but is handling it pretty well. I hope they all break through quickly! I am so tired by the end of the day; glad the semester is almost over.
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going? We have most of the interior decorations up, but need to do the outside. I still have some wrapping to do, and I need to order Christmas cards. We're getting DD's Santa pic this weekend, so I'll order them on Saturday.

Panicked! We are not prepared in the least.
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
The nursery is the biggest (haven’t built a single piece of furniture), but the most important things are probably installing the car seat and packing hospital bags for all of us.
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
Next appointment is tomorrow, just an exam.
Rants/Raves?
Rant: I have SO much to do and it is killing me to be so limited physically!
Rave: My kitchen is FINALLY almost finished!
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going?
Haven’t started unfortunately. I’m dying to get it done but I need to wait for the construction mess to be out of my house.
This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that? Mixed feelings. SO ready for baby but not quite prepared for Christmas. I mean, I know I can still do stuff after she's here but I'd just like to not worry about it!
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
Theoretically we should install the carseat... but we moved it so many times when DS was in it (using his old bucket for baby) that I'm pretty confident either of us can install it in a snap when needed. Also should probably just tidy up her nursery space and our bedroom... but it will probably just get messy again if she doesnt come within the next few days... so what's the point haha
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? Pretty standard on wednesday. I might see if they're willing to do a membrane sweep, but midwifes tend to err on the side of less intervention if necessary so I dunno. We'll see how I'm feeling at the time of the appointment! I won't have DS with me so it's probably the best opportunity!
Rants/Raves?
RAVE! We got DS back on a proper sleep schedule. Now bed at 7:30 and sleeping until 7:30 or 8 with 1 or no wake ups! Yay! Ugh those 5:30-6am wake ups were KILLING ME. Also DH has finally agreed to sell 2 of our 3 vehicles and take the money from both to invest into one newer/nicer truck (we'd be selling a CUV & older truck and keeping the Caravan). We really have no need for 3 vehicles (plus DH's work gives him a truck to use), so I'm glad I finally got through to him!
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going?
As mentioned above, I have a lot done but I still have a couple of things to tie up. We did a gift exchange with my mom's side of the family and DH and I picked my aunt and uncle... And I have no idea what to get them! and they live in Ontario so we need to ship the gifts so I would like to get that done ASAP. We have most of our gifts done, and DH's family will be here for Christmas so we have a bit more time for them. I also have no idea what to get my dad... Oi!

This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that?
good and anxious! I want this baby to come today, but I also want more time to prep.
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
I thought I was prepared, but now I think I want to rethink the shared room and get my daughter a big girl bed now instead of later, that way baby can start napping in the crib to get used to it during the day while sleeping in the bassinet in our room at night...
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
chiropractor today, OB on Thursday. I want her to check my cervix and do a sweep if I'm dilated. My daughter was 12 days late, and I am really trying to avoid that!!!
Rants/Raves?
Rant: DD has always been a great sleeper, but has started getting up between 4-5am, crawling into our bed and going back to sleep. I am taking her back to her bed now, but last night I couldn't get back to sleep. It was the worst.
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going?
Kind of. We celebrate Hanukkah and I got a few presents. That's really my only prep. We're keeping it pretty low key. Hanukkah starts on the 12th, so baby will probably come right when it gets started!
What's your EDD? December 15
This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that?
Well, am I the only one who still hasn't accepted that there will be a baby here soon? I swear it still seems like a distant event.
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared? I still haven't installed the car seat, ordered my breast pump, or packed my hospital bag. Sigh.
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? I just had one today and my blood pressure was pretty high so I have to do a 24 hour urine collection. Great.
Rants/Raves? Pretty upset about this new development. My ob is just dying to do an induction and this does not help my case.
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going? Yes, I am pretty much done!
What's your EDD? December 15!
This week we can finally say, "Two weeks left!" How are you feeling about that? A little stressed honestly. I'm still wrapping up at work and with the nursery...but it's a little hard doing so being so big and pregnant.
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared? I need to put the infant car seat in the car and hang her curtains. That's pretty much it.
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc? Had one today, dilated to 3 cm and 60% effaced. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean anything for me--I was at 4 cm with DD for an entire month prior to her birth.
Rants/Raves?
Rants: These lower pelvic contractions/pain! Ooof.
Raves: Loving these baby movements. I'll be sad to have them go when she's out.
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going? Done! Decor up, presents wrapped, everything done. Huge relief!
12/10, but she is welcome to come anytime between now and then!

Ready to be done! My new biggest pet peeve is being asked how I’m feeling. Ummmm...enormous? Tired? Sore? Leave me alone lol
What's the biggest thing left on your to-do list? Or are you feeling pretty prepared?
pretty prepared at this point. Car seat isn’t installed, but it’s DD’s old one, so DH and I can both get it installed no problem. Other than that, maybe one last good cleaning of the apartment.
What does your next appointment look like? Any special tests or questions/concerns you plan to bring up with your doc?
I just had an appointment Monday (38+1), and the doctor said in a super surprised voice, “wow your cervix is favorable”. Apparently I’m super soft already, and mostly effaced? Also, 2 cms dilated, which is 2 more than I was when I went into labor last time!
Rants/Raves?
Rant: I’m so done with pregnancy. Get this baby out of me lol.
Rave: DH has been extra super wonderful the past few weeks. He’s just awesome.
GTKY: Have you begun holiday prep (or already finished)? How is it going?
We’ve got our tree up, which is pretty much all we are gonna do this year. All my gifts except 1 are bought, and all but 2 of those are wrapped, so yay!
