My car is not filling me with a ton of confidence lately. It's springing leaks and making noises, and we cannot even begin to dream of replacing it right now. So I'm hoping it'll calm down when I do some fluid maintenance here shortly. Good news is that it only has to make a few more more out of town trips -- two or three more to school 45 minutes away, and one to visit my parents in a few weeks, which is about 3.5 to 4 hours away.
Also, I'm about to go into work, and our Cyber Monday email went out, so I expect it'll be insane from the moment I arrive until I leave for my doctor's appointment. Then from there to school. It's gonna be a busy af Monday.
I am so ready to be done commuting to school on Mondays. Two, maybe three weeks left!
@scatteringashes I'm definitely counting down days of my long drive etc. Granted I'll be going back AFTER maternity leave, I still want a break from my hour each way commute... and also work...
So my MBF goes to work/me. I'm sorry, but I just can't focus/really care about work. Two weeks left of this semester for my students and then I work an easy week, have two weeks off for the holiday, and go on 12+ weeks of maternity leave... how oh how am I supposed to give a crap about work?
Also, what is sleep? I recall it fondly but distantly. I believe I liked it.
MBF my toddler is still sick and had a terrible night. Fortunately no puke in the bed this time (got to him quick enough with a bucket), but he was half-awake crying inconsolably every few hours. Doctor this morning said it's a sinus infection + ear infection & augmentin should have him feeling better in a few days. Hoping it does and we don't have to deal with bronchitis and/or pneumonia this winter.
MM: my company just approved a new leave policy for next year and it's a lot more generous than the current one. I won't be required to use up all my PTO to be eligible for Short Term Disability, and they will cover 4 weeks paid on top of the standard 6 or 8 post delivery. I was already saving up my leave to be sure I could take 12 weeks paid under the old policy, but this reduces my stress about not using any more time than I absolutely have to before then.
Oh, I have a list this morning... 1. The fact that I'm back at work after a week off is pretty much torture. 2. I had the WORST night's sleep of my life last night...tossing/turning/peeing until I finally fell asleep at 4:30, only to wake up an hour later, in tears, because of the MOST vivid dream of all time in which DH cheated on me with another woman. This woman was someone he used to be in love with (in the dream...not IRL), and she ended up pregnant. I was also pregnant (in the dream, and IRL haha), so it was pretty awful. 3. When I texted Dh about my traumatizing dream this morning, he thought it was funny and responded, "Damn! Who is this mystery woman?" I was not amused...
DH has made eating soup the worst. He slurps. THE ENTIRE TIME. I need to wear earplugs when we eat. And he's making pho for dinner this week. If I end up in jail you will all know why.

What actually happens...he shows up unannounced on Saturday. My house is still a disaster and we're totally in PJs chillin on the couch (aka I'm not wearing a bra....) Ok fine...bad enough but we get through it. Then low and behold his grandparents and brother show up out of the blue on Sunday...yall I had semi-cleaned my house but it was still quite the disaster zone and again...in PJs (aka no bra....) WHY?????? You drove 2 hrs why would you not make sure we were going to be home!!! I mean, can you at least give some folks a little bit of notice so they can make sure their dressed...10 min maybe?
Oh and his brother even made the comment that they thought about calling before but it's not like we would have been out and about anyway since he just had surgery...I can't yall...I can't
@conineml oh heck no! This is the perfect opportunity for your DH to set some boundaries before LO gets here. Because, unexpected guests: just a world of no's!

DS2 woke us all up at 5:45 this morning
I finally got the car in for maintenance today and was so excited to cross something off my to-do list...and 2 hours later someone hit my car in the nursery school parking lot. So now I need to deal with insurance AND taking my car to get in to be service
Our water bill is astronomical and I'm pretty sure we have a leak in our irrigation system, so we're just throwing water away and our irrigation people (while great at the their job) are not great about the communication aspect of things and are taking forever to get back to me.

@conineml Wow, just wow. I would have been super mad. Especially not dressed to be in front of other people! I've had the landlord come over when I just got out of of bed (aren't they supposed to call first?) and repairmen come when I am literally about to get in the shower, but that sounds worse because you have to let them in
MBF: DH works with FIL in his small remodeling business. I've been running ads for them for the past couple months so they get more work in and it's been going great. FIL phone rings off the hook and DH is working 6 days a week. Lately, for some reason unbeknownst to anyone on earth, FIL has been dillydallying at these job sites (IE, people's houses...that they live in) forcing the entire workload on DH. They just got a new guy to help, which DH says has been great, but unless the job is finished no one gets paid. FIL told these people their bathroom would be done in 3 days. Today I think is day 5 or 6 and all that's left is paint the bathroom which does not need more than 6 hours to do! It's a bathroom! (DH and worker guy wasn't there, they were doing another job)
I'm really upset because he hasn't gotten paid in what feels like an eternity, 2 bills are due next week, and the laptop I want for Christmas (before I never get to buy anything for myself ever again ) is only on sale today. Oh yeah and we have $18

@KatieEl I feel ya! I told him I totally didn't mind them coming we just really needed some notice from now on and in his defense he was so not feeling it either and would have mentioned it had he known, but they blindsided him too. I think we were both so blown away by them showing up in general we didn't know what to do. I mean, his grandmother literally said last time I was here you didn't even have curtains...that was 5 years ago when we moved in... I'm hoping I was either enough of a bitch saying my house was a disaster they got the point or...maybe not and DH will have to discuss it. FX I made my point! She even said now you just go about whatever it was you were in the middle of, don't mind us. Like I'm going to clean while you're here...plus you're in the room I need to clean. Should I just vacuum under you?! Think I'll pass. Also, FX you don't have a lot of damage @KatieEl It's bad enough dealing with someone at the shop for normal maintenance (mansplaining anyone?!, Just change my oil and let's move on with our day right? @jasonsgirl92 Hugs. Finances and being low on money are always stressful... but I find it is three times as bad when I am pregnant. I hope FIL gets a fire lit under his butt. At least you know money WILL come... so that's something.
I posted in last week's symptoms thread about having food poisoning, but now I'm pretty sure it's the flu. I've been sick since Friday night with no end in sight. Trying to push all the fluids I can, but I'm feeling really weak since all I've been able to eat are crackers and yogurt. DS is still moving like crazy so that's some reassurance that he's ok. This just sucks on top of the extreme heartburn and just general aches and pains that 3rd tri brings.
@EmilyLove25 I've concluded that I hate commuting, but there's a decent chance I'll end up doing it after the baby is born if I can't find any local jobs. Kudos to you for making it a whole hour! At about 45 minutes I'm totally over it.

I'm so mad at my BIL who thought it was a good idea to come to Thanksgiving dinner sick (on Saturday). I've been dealing with a grumpy and sick 18 month old all day. I will be beyond mad if I catch it too. Seriously, if you're sick stay away from babies and pregnant ladies!
Joining in with a bitch of my own today. DH woke up at 4 am with a fever. Great. I’ve been up since 4 am with him. I had to get up early anyway to take my Gram to the airport which was horrendous due to all of the traffic to and from. Logged in to work late and had computer issues until noon.
Spent the rest of the day trying to figure out what my boss did to cover me last week. So behind!
Now I’m finally sitting down to relax and just want to Bump, yet my sick DH wants me to comfort him. Seriously? No man.
Feeling sick myself and hoping I’m just a little rundown.
I have ugly cried at least 10 times today. The process of DH going back into the military is not going smooth and we hit another bump. I have no idea when I won’t be living in limbo anymore.
