I know it's technically still Tuesday (at least for me) but I'm gonna go ahead and get this thread started

Benched = involuntarily not NTNP/TTC and "out of the game," usually due to medical reasons

Not bad this week,y mind is distracted since my mom is in town

UGH work sucks...I won't get into detail, but I spent about 85% of my day working on one counties tax bills (getting them ready to pay), but probably 95% of my day was spent on taxes in general.
GTKY: What is something besides family that you're thankful for this year?
As much as I'm complaining about it...I'm thankful for my job. I got hired with this bank almost exactly 2 years ago as a part time teller. In those 2 years, I've been part time, gone on maternity leave, come back as part time, moved up to full time by my 1 year mark, and then by about the 1.5 year mark got this position with the loan department. I've been very blessed with this job!!

What brings you here? I’ve learned a lot about this whole process from lurking and thought I’d try and participate!
How long do you think you'll be here? At least until the end of May, so about 6 months.
How have things been going? Working on building our savings so that we feel financially comfortable enough to start TTC. We’ve both been looking into new job opportunities so if we end up making changes, we may end up delaying TTC another year.
Any R/R? Rant: One wall in our bedroom started making this obnoxious tapping noise once we turned the heat on for the winter. It seems to only happen at night when we’re trying to sleep, and it’s like a moderately loud tap every 15 seconds for HOURS. I have enough trouble falling asleep as it is! Now it looks like we’ll need to tear up the drywall to insulate the wall and hopefully stop the noise.
GTKY: What is something besides family that you're thankful for this year? My job. I’ve started looking at other options to advance my career but I also need to be thankful for where I am now. I am very fortunate.

A work issue called DH in last minute (daycare is closed today) so he’s bringing DD in for me to take care of while he goes in for an hour or so.
GTKY: What is something besides family that you're thankful for this year?
Today especially, I’m thankful for the flexibility my job allows me. Being able to take off, or take my daughter in with me (although it obviously limits my work progress, but we’re slow today) takes a lot of stress out of being a working mom.
@CecilB93 That's so great about your progression at your job! You must be showing the right people the right stuff, good for you!
@dogmomma271 Good luck with the tapping noise. Repetitive noises like that drive me bonkers.
@meggyme That's nice you can have your little one at work! I can't imagine I would get any work done, haha.

How have things been going? Well enough.
Any R/R? I went for a massage last night but my hip is still killing me. I know one massage won't fix it but I thought it would help more than it did. Still haven't talked to DH about timing yet (in case you missed it, I accidentally pulled my own IUD out the other day so TTC could be happening sooner than later)
GTKY: What is something besides family that you're thankful for this year? We have a beautiful home, live in a beautiful city and are pretty happy for the most part. We are lucky to be where we are.
