My mom’s friend offered to nanny. She’s a mother of 4 (her youngest is in high school) and she has a little babysitting experience as well. I need her three days a week for a total of about 21hr/wk. I will be home while she’s here. I feed him solids once in the morning before she gets here and breastfeed for his other meals (so nanny won’t need to prepare bottles). There won’t be any driving around required. No extra duties unless maybe folding baby’s laundry. She’s not first aid or CPR certified, no formal childhood development training but she’s a good mom who my mom trusts so that means a lot. That all being said, I’m thinking of offering her $11-$15/hr. Thoughts?
