I could not get my butt out of bed. I think maybe I should switch to working out at 7pm when DD goes to bed, because I wake up nauseous now... and cannot get my butt out of bed. So this week I did one measly mile on the treadmill on Wednesday morning. This was my first run back since Friday when I had spotting, so my body was like... what? we run now? I did do 40 minutes of yoga on Monday.
my plan is to run 2 miles tonight when DD goes to bed. I made DH promise to shame me into doing it. Tomorrow I am going to do some stretch/ relaxing yoga and then Sunday I want to do 4miles, but we will see how the run feels. I would be happy with 3 miles.
The nausea has been killing me too- usually work out in the mornings. Was able to workout last weekend and do one session of yoga and one session of strength during the work week. Hoping to get on the treadmill later today and over the weekend as long as there’s a nausea free window...
I've managed to get my normal 3-4 mile run in almost everyday this week. Daylight savings time (or the end of it I guess) is really messing with my workouts because I like to run in the evenings, but now it's getting dark at like 5...ugh. I tried to run in the mornings a couple times, but I just freaking hate working out in the morning. I feel like my body is just not ready and it feels forced instead of exhilarating/relaxing. Going to keep up the evening runs as long as possible....might have to get some sort of light or something so I can see in the dark.
So normally I weight train 3-4days per week and cardio 2 days per week with an occasional hot yoga thrown in once in a blie moon. This last month I fell off the wagon big time. We bought a house and were moving and cancles my personal training ($200/mo) to save money for the move. And I just spiraled. Probably only lifted like 2days per week. And cardio was just chasing my toddler DD around. Haha. So now im pregnant and even tho I know muscle memory is in my favor, Im kind of scared to jump back in at the intensity im used to. Anyone else have this fear? Luckily my trainer is also my bro-in-law so he knows im preggers and hes very knowledgable, Im just scared. It took us a while to get preggers the 2nd time and Idk. But i also do NOT want to spiral further and binge on ice cream like I did with DD. Lol.
Got in a few workouts earlier this week and they felt amazing. Unfortunately, I'm so exhausted from the moment I wake up in the morning, I can't imagine doing anything. I just need to push myself a little more because the exercises do wonders for tiredness and nausea. My H has been out of town at a work conference, so I've gotten really lazy with healthy eating. He comes home tonight and I'm looking forward to getting back on the wagon. My goal is to have a nice and fit pregnancy this time around! I wasn't horrible last pregnancy but I'd love to avoid the extra few pounds to lose once LO gets here.
I'm not fit... I'm flab... do you ladies know since I don't work out if it's okay to do squats if I don't get my heart rate up high? My back is already killing me, and I know it will only get worse as the pregnancy continues so I'd like to start doing some squats to strengthen my back up. I thought about starting yoga too, I have a pregnancy yoga DVD. Think those would help with my lower back pains? I know they are from my weight and not baby related as they've been happening since before I got pregnant.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
I've done a whole lot of NOTHING, lol. I love working out, like 8 classes a week and running 2.5-5 miles 6 days a week love it. But I had a loss, then was told to up my BMI a little for TTC, then immediately into this pregnancy so my body has just not been feeling it at ALL for the past month and a half. UGH. Can't wait to have an ultrasound and a sit down with the prenatal nurse since I'm too paranoid to start back up without talking to her. Maybe I'll at least start some light weights this week.
I'm with @Katm89, couldn't get out of bed. But I've also had a bad cold all week, so I'm giving myself a pass. We're tearing through a bunch of boxes this weekend, so that's probably going to take all my energy. I'm about to take a nap, so no walk today. :P
@bdesterhouse You're probably fine adding in squats now. And yoga will ABSOLUTELY help with back pains. It was a huge help for me last time and I'm looking forward to more prenatal yoga. Stretching is key during pregnancy. Back pain pretty much comes with the territory but keeping your core strong helps a lot.
I ran Monday, swam with my kiddo Tuesday (kinda counts) and then did body pump on Wednesday. I was worried I would struggle through body pump because running seemed extra hard on monday, but i felt good! I am determined to be active this pregnancy for as long as possible.
Did Barre 3x this week but struggled through the hour class today. Trying to stay focused on eating well. Made these for breakfast, not too sweet, or dry.
I normally work out daily but this fatigue is no joke! Honestly, I am so worried to lose all the fitness progress I’ve made, as shallow as that sounds. With my first pregnancy in 2015, I was morbidly obese, 240 pounds when he was born. I was 237 pounds when he was 3 months old (breastfeeding didn’t do anything for me
@kmac103 I am scared too. Even armed with the best intentions and habits. I went from super fit to gaining 46 pounds and eating mostly pizza during my last pregnancy. I want to be better, but I find myself avoiding workouts now.
@Katm89 I know what you mean! I was SO bad last pregnancy because I had already developed such horrible habits. I’m trying to better this time! Hopefully threads like this will keep me accountable lol
I'm running a bit, doing HIIT and spin class. I did Soul Cycle a lot during my last pregnancy and really enjoyed it. I feel like I've been slacking a bit more than i should though. It's important for me to have a strong, fit pregnancy. Also, I'm registered for a half marathon in late January. I might just transfer top a 10k. Not sure of I'm up for the half.

So I am not cleared to workout yet, and even then I am just going to stick to yoga, but I JUST hit my goal weight right before I got pregnant. I gained 50 lbs last pregnancy, and I am determined to do better this time. Anyway, best of luck to you all!

I did a Pilates workout and took 3 walks after lunch. And chased around a 1 year old.
New goals for a new week, though!
