Given your intro, I want to bitch about how quiet the DD check ins are. It's so sad I honestly don't know what the point is because people don't engage enough to make the groups worth it. After two days of individual updates they basically die...
Mine is this stupid Tap to Print thing they started at the hospital. It stores all of the stuff you print until you go over to the printer and tap your badge on the reader. It will be really nice when it finally works, so stuff doesn't get into the wrong hands, you don't have to stand up a thousand times while printing stuff, etc. but today is the first day and everyone is having a ton of problems, so it's just been a cluster around the printer (right by my cubicle) all morning.

I don’t participate in the due date check ins because I find it hard to copy and paste the questions. I know that sounds really stupid, but I’m usually on my phone and nursing while I write.
I'm just tired. My kids need to sleep. And DS needs to get this growth spurt over with already. He's eating a ton and still wakes up crying for food a couple nights a week. He did it again at midnight last night. We have pretty late dinners, but I think we'll have to add in another snack right before bed. I'm tired. And have been getting headaches those who are ahead of me have been complaining about.
I have a stash of candy under my desk. It helps from feeling sick all day like the weekends, but I've had a chocolate overload and need something salty and of course don't have anything salty.
@sandbar517 I like the idea of tap to print. Our students can print from their chromebooks, but there's only 3 printers that can print to, one being in my room. They often print here by accident and don't ever come and pick up the 10 pages they printed because they just print to another room that's closer. I feel it would conserve a lot of ink and paper that gets wasted. Also we can only print in color to the printer in the main office, and it's a pain to have to go pick something up down there when you have a class in your room but you'd forget to print it later on.
@babydreams88 I agree, I miss the daily check ins from ttgp board. Though I feel like more was happening in those few months I was there then now, and during the school year I found myself participating less even in those.
@suchaglencoco I hear you on the eating. The toddler ate an entire carton of blueberries before bed. Wolfed them down after a full dinner. I'm going to be buying 4T soon for a 2 year old! @mileswithmyles I am so sorry you are still vomiting! I cannot imagine. This was the first week I didn't have to take my meds (by accident I forgot but it was a happy accident!) @sandbar517 I hate when things don't run efficiently when they were made for that exact purpose! It makes my day a lot more hectic. I like to get things done at work and be ahead so I don't have to bring anything home and it irks me when things interrupt my flow.
I like randoms more for the conversations, but maybe because I like the people who actually participate here lol. I have to run to target for a million things after school, but my H went grocery shopping for me yesterday and it was amazing. I really needed it. I have been having more blood sugar lows than I should be and called the MFMs today about it but they reassured me that as long as I'm not passing out because of my brain shutting down I am not hurting the baby. I felt a lot better. I am always scared that I'm going to mess this pregnancy thing up. I got chickfila for breakfast today and that helped my Monday.
I need to bitch about this guy at work who always schedules meetings for Friday afternoon. This week it's from 3:30-4:30. My brain will no longer be functioning at that point!!!
I just want to thank @sandbar517 for using a Doctor Who gif to start this off. Even if it was just randomly selected (I'm secretly hoping it wasn't and you too are a whovian) I still love it either way!
Im gonna bitch about my hair...I lost some of it in the front after I gave birth to DS, and it's growing back, but is now these awkward wispy things that I can't control. What's a curly haired girl supposed to do?!?! And now I'm pissed because it'll likely happen again after this baby is born and I'll have to deal with it all over again!
I shouldn't bitch because I have the day off, but my nausea is back in full force today. Ugh!! I was pretty sick feeling on Saturday too. I'm 14 weeks now and was good last mon-fri so I thought I was in the clear...nope!
I agree that the due date check ins are a bit slow. I like the weekly format, but I'd like to learn more about my due date buddies and compare notes. I guess I should be engaging more but it's hard when it's crickets too
I’m now moving on from bitching about getting the stomach bug and on to cleaning this damn house from it. HOW DO I KNOW ITS CLEAN ENOUGH?! Can I burn this place down?! How do I keep me and DD from getting sick again?! And my husband from getting it. This. Is. Stressful.
@Poppy0419 ***warning, this is a super gross post**** IME there isn’t anything you can do about norovirus. It lives on surfaces for weeks, and only bleach and hospital grade disinfectants kill it. What I would do call your doctor and get a prescription for Zofran. If you get the vomits, you can take Zofran after all the contents of your stomach are gone and you are dry heaving. I know, gross, but we did the Zofran thing the last time the norovirus went round this house and it helped so, so much. Another thing you may want to consider in the future is putting together a sick kit. We have a giant ziplock storage tote full of old sheets, chux pads, towels, garbage bags, a big bowl, gloves, large pull ups and wipes. We also have a child’s cot next to it so the sick kid can stay in our room. We later the cot with sheets and towels and peel them off as needed (kids seem to have a lot of trouble vomiting in a bowl, although we give them one!) We toss the dirty linens in a garbage bag and wash them with bleach. I also insist on my kids wearing pull-ups when they have a stomach bug. Sorry, but pull-ups are a lot easier to deal with than soiled undies. Also, stock up on chicken broth and Gatorade powder!
i wanted to add that you should definitely bleach the heck out of your bathroom, door knobs, handles and the dishwasher. Also, toss your toothbrushes!
@cups4@mileswithmyles you both just made we want chickfila really badly. i had it for lunch on Friday. I could go for it again, probably everyday of my life. But the closest one is about 25 min from us.
My bitch is the MFM office that blatantly disregarded my telling them that a pre-auth absolutely MUST best submitted AND APPROVED before I can have the Materni21 test completed. I called them a MONTH before my 1st tri screen appt with them. Staff admitted that they basically didn't believe me. So. Many. Spirit. Fingers.
They submitted one then but now I have to wait 2 more weeks to do the bloodwork. I'm still so stabby.
@Poppy0419 noro is the worst. I ended up needing Zofran when I had it this summer. We disinfected everything and actually had DS stay with my mom for a few days while DH and I recovered/tried to kill the virus. FX everything subsides soon.
@mileswithmyles@gildah anything that I couldn’t just throw away (I tossed the cheap shower curtain with a tear and the old couch pillows lol) has been bleached beyond anything. Hospital grade disinfected will be here tomorrow. I let the bleach sit for 20 minutes...twice. Mopped the floors with bleach. Cabinets. All laundry with bleach on sanitize. Use gloves to handle anything we may have used while sick.
The hospital gave me Zofran in an IV and a prescription to take home. DD had it really mild (threw up twice and acted fine. A few nasty diapers but nothing horrific even though it felt that way at the time!) The ER doc thinks my symptoms were so bad because the severe upper UTI I have too. Apparently a UTI can cause a multitude of things? I had no clue.
After I panicked in my FB mama group they showed me Clorox Healthcare Hydrogen Peroxide. You can get it on amazon and it supposedly kills noro in 1 minute. So hopefully between bleach and that I’m covered.
This is honestly my biggest anxiety trigger while is why I’m trying to not let it spiral out of control.
So I’m going to breakdown and bitch about this now... We have been at the airport since noon, and our plane doesn’t take off until like 11. I’m so annoyed that we’ve been here this entire time, and I’m uber pissed that DH booked our flights this late anyway. Wtaf???
I️ couldn’t login to TB for the past two weeks, but I️ finally figured out my password this weekend, so I’m back.
My letter “eye” isn’t showing up right on my iPhone. At least for me, it shows up as a A and a weird symbol.
My my husband is away at a conference till weds and my toddler has already had hives three times (never before) and almost needed stitches from biting through her tongue this morning while at Daycare. How is it only Monday?
Ok guys... what's up with Chick FIL A? I have never had it, actually i dont think there are any near where I live! Are they really that good? Is it fried chicken or something?

I’m going to get flack for this but it’s just ok. It is mostly fried chicken.
@Pearlvirus yes and I refuse to eat there for this reason
+1 I have eaten there once taken by a coworker and was tempted to ask for the gayest sandwich they have but I didn't want to be mean to a worker just trying to do his job. I wasn't that impressed with the food either.
Isn’t chick fil a the one owned by anti-gay super Christians?
They are owned by Mormons. What’s ironic is the only person I’ve ever known who’s worked there was gayer than the day is long. This was years before the boycott happened though. I don’t care that they’re closed on sundays because aside from inconvenience it has no affect on me, but I won’t eat there on purpose because they are anti gay.

When I was in labor with DS, I went out and got one of those. And that was what we got on the way home from the hospital, lol.

@ivyvines6 are you heading out on your honeymoon??
I have another bitch. I have a cold. Sore throat, runny nose, tired and all the works. Ughhhh.
