Genetic testing

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I need to know. 

Our DS is special needs. He was born with a very rare micro deletion of the 3rd chromosome. We plan on having genetic testing done and the doctor gave us two separate pamphlets for two different tests. I was wondering if anyone knows how the tests are done and which one is better. One does test for micro deletions which would be a better choice for us. But I don't want anything invasive. We had genetic testing done with our youngest DD, but they just took my blood for that one. 

One is called panorama and the other is horizon.

    I’m pretty sure if you go to each brand’s website it will give you the most information, but they’re blood tests.

    I checked their websites. It just seems like they both test for pretty much the exact same things. Didn't know if anyone had experience with one or the other.

    My oldest son has a 1 in a million genetic disorder called muckle wells syndrome we were told by our genetics counselor the horizon test was more comprehensive. That may just be for the mutations we were looking for but that was his suggestion. If you go on to the websites they should give you a break down of what they test for. We also opted for a 2nd genetic test after our other kids were born a blood draw to avoid having an amnio.

    Our son is one of maybe 20 cases(so far) world wide. Thank you for telling me your experience with it!

    Panorama screens the baby for genetic abnormalities while Horizon checks to see if you are a carrierer of certain things.
    My OB ordered a Horizon for me to see if I am a carrier for C.F. and SMA.
    That was the impression I got from the order form my OB gave me
