R/R: Rant - this whole getting dark at 5pm is not fun. Rave - dinner was particularly good last night and I'm excited for round 2 at lunch today

Now that the weather is cold I need to get onto my crochet projects. Saw a few videos for fingerless gloves I want to try

@nimmle really interesting slow rise pattern! Did you have a slow rise last cycle too or am I thinking of someone else? What did you have for dinner last night? I love having yummy leftovers for lunch!

R/R: We had a delicious dinner last night! Our blue apron recipe was a pork burger with kale salad. I expected to hate the salad because I don't like kale much (and I really don't like salad much either) but it was so delicious! I even had seconds. Now I'm feeling super healthy today.

GTKY: I really need to finish my scrapbook! I'm about a year behind, yikes! DH is getting the new Xbox today so I'll probably have plenty of time to work on my scrapbook the next few weeks.

R/R: Rant: No one has paid their October invoice yet so I'm over here being broke AF but have thousands in invoices just waiting to be paid. It's painful. Rave: I picked up my client appreciation gifts yesterday and they're fabulous! She made a mini one for me too. So sweet.

CS/Q: nope

GTKY: DIY concrete tile flooring for our bathrooms. I haven't done a DIY project on the house in a year because we were saving for the wedding and then new laminate floors for the rest of the house but ish keeps happening to eat up our laminate floor budget. BUT we have enough for the tiles I love so I'll likely be doing that soon. I love DIY house projects and I've got the itch.

@nimmle great timing! FX for you! Love fingerless gloves. Will they be a solid color or a pattern?

@offtoneverland I need to finish mine as well! How are your scrapbooks organized?

I want to make a wreath out of old collectable ornaments. I saw the idea at the state fair and it solves my issue of having too many ornaments. Also, like @offtoneverland I need to work on my scrapbooking. I always get caught up in the summer and then I'm way behind the rest of the year. #teacherlife

GTKY: What fabulous DIY project is on your list? I've had a quilt in progress for 3 years that I've had to keep putting up. It's a purple Dresden plate. Picture of one (almost finished) block just below in spoiler.

@nimmle - fingerless gloves are awesome! I wish I could crochet, but my talents don't go that way. are they gonig to be warm and fuzzy?

@offtoneverland - ohh, new Xbox. I have some extra time since Assassin's Creed and the new Call of Duty came out. I think you'll have some time for scrapbooking, if you want to get into it!

@SkilledSailor - Hope your clients pay up soon! How nice that you do customer appreciation gifts!

@offtoneverland I'm not sure if this is normal for me or not. I've only tracked temps for 3 cycles and the 2nd one was AO. My temps are definitely up, I'm just hoping they start gearing up more soon. Last night I baked thin sliced chicken breast breaded with panko mixed with some parmesan with mashed red potatoes and greenbeans on the side. So yummy. I love blue apron! I'm sad I don't have any more meals for this week but we ate them all already. Your dinner sounds great.

@SkilledSailor Wow! DIY your own tiles. Sounds like quite the project, but also sound like fun. I'm thinking solid to start. Maybe if I'm getting good I'll try adding some stripes.

R/R: Today is Tuesday, so it’s not Monday! My office mate brought me pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Holy yum. OPKs are as positive as I ever turn them, so hopefully O soon.
CS/Q: Nothing to see, nothing to see.
GTKY: I just finished a set of aprons! I want to make one for myself now and start on a quilt. Again, I forgot how cathartic sewing is for me. I also want to make a Christmas wreath.

@nimmle I've never tried making gloves or mittens, but that might be a fun project too! My worry is always that I'll make them two different sizes.

@offtoneverland Your dinner sounds so tasty! I need to figure something out for dinner tonight for MH and I. We've both been so stressed lately that we haven't done a great job keeping up with cooking.

@SkilledSailor I so wish we could do DIY house projects! We rent, so we can't do anything like that right now. Someday hopefully we'll be able to buy though!

@catlady2015 That quilt is lovely! What kind of cat bed did you get? One of my cats has a heated bed for winter (yes, he's spoiled), but the other doesn't seem interested in cat beds, he just likes our chairs and bed.

@Stargazer1lily Yay for snow! It's just super cold here this week with no snow, which seems unfair.

@jrm_14 That pumpkin bread sounds delicious, and reminds me that I made some like that last year. I'd better dig out the recipe!

R/R: Not much on my schedule for today, so I'm hoping to get a lot of prep work and grading done. Tomorrow is looking crazy busy. MH and I ended up going on an impromptu date night to see Thor last night, and we had so much fun! It's not exactly great film, but it was very funny, and that was just what I needed.

CS/Q: Strangely, my chart is looking pretty much normal, despite the letrozole. I didn't really get hot flashes last night either.

GTKY: What fabulous DIY project is on your list? Hmmm... I don't have a specific project in mind, but I'd like to start some new crochet patterns. I was making a blanket, but I think I need to unravel it and start over. I made the stitches too tight, so it isn't as soft as it should be. Blankets are always nice to work on in winter, since they keep you warm while you work.

R/R: This partner made me work really late last night and scramble to do this emergency filing which was crazy stressful, but the judge ruled our way this morning so the partner and client are thrilled with me. Also I have been MIA for a bit because my phone got stolen on my DC trip and I just got a replacement. People who steal things suck.

CS/Q: Too early to show anything of interest.

GTKY: What fabulous DIY project is on your list? I really want to make one of those caddie things to hang on my bathroom wall to hold my hairdryer and straightener but I am not handy at all and don't even know where to start.

@darkstar42 - it was a smartykat deep sided bed. Fuzzy inside, but not heated. Enough of a hidey-hole for the scaredy cat kitty, but accessible enough for pets if a kitty desires.

@offtoneverland we do Hello Fresh and last night was one of the best meals so far! H is out of town so I get the leftovers for lunch We had pork apple burgers with kale salad recently from HF and it was one of my favorites too. I love all things pork.

@SkilledSailor what do you do for a living? Hopefully you'll get paid soon! H owns a used car dealership. His income is cyclical and this is our downtime since everyone is spending money for the holidays. Lots of repos this time of year. It can be stressful

@jellybean0110 That tree skirt is fabulous! Post a picture when you're finished with it. What a great idea to create your own! I've never tried Hello Fresh and wonder how it compares to Blue Apron. BA sends us coupons pretty frequently so we'll probably stick with it for a while. DH loves trying new recipes every week!

@nimmle You are brave. I typically stick to blankets because they are hard to truly mess up. Also, do you deliver to South Central Idaho?
@offtoneverland, @lalala2004have you ladies tried an online scrapbook like Shutterfly? I did them for Christmas one year. All I had to really do was pick a layout, put a pic in, and put the description/words in. It was magnificent as a time saver.
@catlady2015 That reminds me to finish my jean quilt top . . . . .
@darkstar42 That is why I do blanket after blanket in the winter.

Rave: The snow didn't stick, so safe and fun driving. I only have these students/grouping of students for 208 minutes after today!!!!!! IDK what it is, but this trimester they have been grouped into hellacious classes. I hope it gets worked out next tri.

I have 0 done and like 9 to do in the next 3 years. I have one knit and one crochet started, I just never remember to do them when watching tv.

@SkilledSailor I forgot to respond to your question about my scrapbooks. I organize them by year or until they get too full pretty much.

I tend to do the normal "every day" photos in one big scrapbook, and for any vacations I've been putting together albums on Snapfish and have them printed. That way I have nice organized albums for our vacations.
@princesslockness Yes, I love online albums! I prefer Snapfish though. It does save a lot of time, but it still takes me HOURS to do one album because I'm such a perfectionist and want it to be absolutely perfect with matching colors/themes.

@ncnole26 We're also guilty of leaving stuff sitting around for too long without putting it up. Oops!

We were so motivated when we bought our house several years ago but have really let things slide lately.

@offtoneverland I actually wake up early to do my work from home job and then DH leaves for work early, so morning sex doesn't ever happen. Although DH is probably about to lose his job, so maybe we will have more time

@offtoneverland we tried BA for a while but the recipes were a little too adventurous for H. He is a simple eater so HF is better for us! I did love BA though while we had it. I might need to add it back into the rotation.
